Paramore has bailed on the iHeartRadio ALTer EGO festival January 13th in Anaheim. The band released a statement which read: “Due to unforeseen circumstances‚ Paramore can no longer attend and perform at iHeartRadio ALTer EGO. The band apologizes for any inconvenience.” There might be more to the story… About a month ago‚ Paramore noted they have “now fulfilled all label obligations and are effectively free agents. This has led to a level of uncertainty.” Then came the acknowledgement that “a chapter of the band’s career has come to a close.” But frontwoman Haley Williams affirmed they’re still going to be together‚ and they’re still going to keep having fun.” However‚ on December 26th the band wiped their official website‚ Instagram and X accounts clean. Paramore had been touring in support of their sixth studio effort‚ “This Is Why.” Festival organizers were able to plug in Fall Out Boy to fill the slot.
