They say there are two things we can't escape in this life: death and taxes. Yet what if we could escape at least one of those? Humankind‚ indeed all living things‚ have always been tethered to the inexorable coming of aging and death. For all of our mastery of technology and medical knowledge‚ it seems to be an inevitable‚ inescapable fate for us to grow old and die. For thousands of years there have been those who would try to avert this creeping certainty of aging‚ who would break the cycle of deterioration‚ death‚ and decay.
