So I’ll keep it brief and encourage you to check out our YouTube channel to watch the video of Doug and I going over this knife. I met Doug at Shot Show a year ago at the Fox Knives booth. We spent a good bit of time talking about all sorts of things and quickly became good friends. Doug is an amazing guy. One all of us can relate to and he enjoys all the stuff we do. I was in the Fox booth discussing a new cleaver design and found out that Doug was doing the same. So in conversation we decided to check out his design for BattlBox. He presented the prototype to me at Blade Show in the spring of that year and I instantly knew this was a cool knife and we had to proceed! This knife is kind of a larger iteration of his Dart design that has been very popular. So the concept was to have a large cleaver that could be used for outdoor tasks like cooking‚ but could also be multifunctional as a blade for self-defense applications. Now we all know that Doug is a master in using blades in defensive and offensive manners. So to have a design that he can personally vet as effective for that is really cool. It is amazing how well he can wield this thing. And at the same time‚ the ability to use it in an outdoor setting is there.
