Fresh Strawberry Milk
This isn’t a store-bought Nesquick or Hershey’s syrup strawberry milk, this is strawberry milk made with fresh strawberries, whole milk and a bit of sugar (or sugar alternative.)
A RICHER MORE FLAVORFUL BEVERAGE
You can’t go wrong with a glass of Strawberry Milk! Kids and adults will get a little (or a lot) excited over a glass of flavored milk. This is so easy to make, only uses 3 ingredients and doesn’t involve any artificial dyes, extra preservatives, or other random ingredients that you’ll find in a premade glass of Strawberry Milk. Plus, it’s the perfect thing to make when you have some extra strawberries hanging out in the kitchen.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Is this Strawberry Milk super sweet? Nope, this Strawberry Milk is as sweet, or not super sweet as you’d like it to be. Start with just the strawberries and slowly add in small amounts of sugar until you get it to your liking. Can I use frozen strawberries? Absolutely. I would let them thaw first or you’ll get more of a frozen style drink. Can I make Dairy Free Strawberry Milk? I’m a whole milk or 2% milk girly but I think oatmilk would also work fine here (just pay attention if it is sweetened or unsweetened.) Some oatmilk is vanilla flavored and also sweetened so you probably wouldn’t need extra sugar if using a milk that is already sweetened. What can I use instead of white sugar? You can opt for your favorite sweetener in place of white sugar. Try adding a splash of vanilla extract for a flavor boost. How to store Strawberry Milk? Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days. Shake or stir before serving.
INGREDIENTS NEEDED: (SEE RECIPE CARD BELOW FOR THE FULL RECIPE)
whole milk– cold milk works best here and it is the best to drink, in my opinion. Whole milk makes for a creamy drink but other milk choices can be used.
hulled strawberries– I love that this recipe uses real strawberries and not some kind of mix. It’s perfect for all those strawberries you get after strawberry picking.
granulated white sugar– little sugar is needed to offset the tang of the strawberries but can easily be adjusted to taste.
HOW TO MAKE STRAWBERRY MILK
Add all ingredients to a blender. Blend on medium or high speed until smooth for 25-30 seconds.
Optional step: strain drink through a fine mesh sieve to remove any remaining strawberry seeds. Pour strawberry milk into two serving glasses, enjoy!
