Kid Rock gets into a dust up with Mötley Crüe’s Tommy Lee at the MTV Video Music Awards in Las Vegas. The former spouses of ‘actress’ Pamela Anderson (pictured above) exchange words before Rock throws a punch (according to witnesses) sending Lee to the deck. Rock (pictured) also takes a blow when he is slapped with a misdemeanor battery charge. The following month the Clark County District Attorney’s Office decides not to pursue any charges against Rock after Lee himself requests that Rock not be prosecuted for the incident. As for the show, Justin Timberlake was the big winner (4 awards). The Best Group honor went to Fall Out Boy. They beat out Linkin Park, Maroon 5 and The White Stripes… among others. The 2007 VMAs had the fewest categories ever, eliminating 13 awards, and renaming many of the remaining awards.
