The rapid response team for Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign stepped in it again on Tuesday — just over a week after even CNN was forced to slap @KamalaHQ with a brutal fact-check — when the account identified The Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh as a “top Trump operative.” Walsh may be many things — a best-selling children’s author, a renowned DEI expert, and a documentarian to name a few — but a Trump operative he is not. But still, KamalaHQ ran with a post “outing him” as such in addition to tying him to The Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025 — which they have repeatedly and dishonestly claimed is Trump’s second-term agenda. “Top Trump operative, echoing Project 2025: Not only should the Department of Education be abolished, but the entire public school system should be abolished,” the post captioned a video clip of Walsh from his show.
