Riley Keough has been working hard to promote her mother’s posthumous memoir From Here To The Great Unknown, and her recent stop was in Los Angeles. Riley sat down with fellow author Taylor Jenkins Reid to discuss the new book and her life as Graceland’s sole heir at 35. She also addressed the so-called Presley family curse, noting that it is an exaggeration of common things that happen to real people just because they are a famous household. It is mostly attributed to addiction battles, which plagued the family patriarch Elvis, and her mother Lisa Marie. Other tragedies the public has related to the Presley family curse include the deaths of Elvis’ twin brother, Jessie, and Riley’s brother, Benjamin, who died by suicide in 2020. Thankfully, Riley has been free of drugs, and being a mother to her two-year-old Tupelo, she hopes the generations going forward stay so.
