Manson Drops Lawsuit Against Wood

Following years of allegations and lawsuits, Marilyn Manson has dropped his suit against Evan Rachel Wood (pictured above), who entered into a relationship with the musician when she was eighteen. Manson was seeking to revive his defamation claim against the actress. Manson also agreed to pay $327,000 for Wood’s legal fees – seemingly concluding the ongoing litigation. In ’22, Manson filed the lawsuit against Wood, a little over a year after she had publicly named him as her abuser with multiple women following with their own allegations against the singer.  “(Manson) filed a lawsuit against Ms. Wood as a publicity stunt to try to undermine the credibility of his many accusers and revive his faltering career. But his attempt to silence and intimidate Ms. Wood failed,” a Wood representative said in a statement. “As the trial court correctly found, (Manson’s) claims were meritless.” Manson’s attorneys issued a statement explaining that Manson had sought to settle the lawsuit earlier this spring while at the same time appealing the judge’s ruling on the case. ### The post Manson Drops Lawsuit Against Wood appeared first on RockinTown.
