Okay, but "Tampa b****h" is kind of iconic. Over the weekend, Kacey Musgraves played a show at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida, as part of her current headlining Deeper Well world tour trek, where a fan got a little bit too aggressive and grabbed her while she was walking down to the b-stage. Every night on this tour, Kacey has been playing acoustic versions of songs like “Follow Your Arrow” and "The Architect," and walking through the fans on the floor to get there. Obviously, security walks with her and fans are behind a gate, but it still gives everyone a chance to see her up close, and for Kacey to get to looks some of them in the eye and have a real moment. And while it’s typically a really fun part of the show, this fan got too aggressive the other night and grabbed Kacey’s arm and what looked like part of her hair and yanked her back, which definitely caught Kacey off guard and rattled her a bit. I know, I know. She kinda ruined it. She kinda ruined it for everybody. I thought I was gonna have to get real east Texas on her, take off my earrings. But Florida goes hard. It felt a little bit like when you type your name and birthday into the Florida man thing, and then the Tampa girl popped up. But no, I 'm very excited to be here tonight." Yikes... Kacey Musgraves México (@spaceykaceymx) December 1, 2024 And apparently, the fan responded in a lengthy post on Instagram, saying she has been outed online with fans posting her "full name," where she lives, and sending her all sorts of messages online. She also added that she regrets "supporting [Kacey's] music or even buying VIP to watch her": "I was an excited fan who happened to stretch out her hand in hopes of touching her hand and everything  just turned malicious... These people are commenting on TikTok my full name, posting where I live, and then coming into my personal account in hopes of tearing me down. I regret supporting her music or even buying VIP to watch her. What artist calls her fan a Tampa b****h?" Now, obviously, she made a mistake and like I said in my previous post about it, I think we all learn in pre-school we should keep our hands to ourselves, and she certainly shouldn't have yanked Kacey like that. But at the same time, other fans taking it to this level feels like a bridge too far, as well. Kacey handled it at the time, had the fan removed from the show, has addressed it since, and seemingly moved on. It's probably best to leave this fan alone, who seems like a pretty young girl (not excusing it, just giving context), who didn't have any real malicious intent.
