Republican Governors Pledge To Support Trump’s Deportation Agenda
Republican Governors across the country signed onto a statement pledging their support for President-elect Donald Trump’s mass deportation agenda.
The statement, led by South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster, comes as Trump has promised to enact the largest mass deportation campaign in American history.
“As Republican governors, we stand united in support of President Donald Trump’s unwavering commitment to make America safe again by addressing the illegal immigration crisis and deporting illegal immigrants who pose a threat to our communities and national security,” the statement from the 26 Republican governors reads.
The statement continued to provide support for Trump’s deportation agenda, specifically honing in on illegal aliens who are believed to be engaged in violent criminal activity.
“Republican governors remain fully committed to supporting the Trump Administration’s efforts to deport dangerous criminals, gang members, and terrorists who are in this country illegally,” the statement says. “We understand the direct threat these criminal illegal immigrants pose to public safety and our national security, and we will do everything in our power to assist in removing them from our communities.”
Recent polling indicates that Trump’s deportation agenda enjoys support among a significant majority of the American public.

The Republican governors went on to offer their state law enforcement and National Guard to assist in the deportation effort. “We stand ready to utilize every tool at our disposal—whether through state law enforcement or the National Guard—to support President Trump in this vital mission.”
Multiple Democrat officials have pledged to oppose, and perhaps even obstruct, Trump’s attempt to conduct deportations and enforce federal immigration law.
Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey said that state police will “absolutely not” cooperate with federal law enforcement agents as they attempt to carry out the mass deportation agenda.
Her statements came just before ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations agents in the state arrested three illegal aliens who each allegedly raped children, including one who was freed by a local police department after the department allegedly flouted an immigration detainer request from ICE.
Democrat Mayor of Denver, Colorado, Mike Johnston similarly said that he would resist attempts from the president to enforce federal immigration law. He even indicated that he would use the city’s police to attempt to prevent federal agents from entering the county.
“More than us having DPD stationed at the county line to keep them out, you would have 50,000 Denverites there,” Johnston threatened. “It’s like the Tiananmen Square moment with the rose and the gun, right? You’d have every one of those Highland moms who came out for the migrants. And you do not want to mess with them.”
The comments from Johnston came right as an illegal alien was arrested after allegedly raping the 14-year-old daughter of his boss, who was allowing the illegal alien to stay at his house.
“Castillo forced himself on the 14-year-old daughter of the homeowner, sexually assaulting her. He left the residence before deputies arrived,” the local sheriff’s office said of the illegal alien’s alleged crime.
