'Virtually unlimited right to abortion'

The following account is of a strange experience that occurred to the mother of the submitter when she was age 5, along with her family in the winter of 1957."The incident was the picking up of hitchhikers that may or may not be human. The incident bears some similarities with accounts of phantom hitchhikers but goes much further to suggest that they were real flesh and bone beings.My mother and her family, which consisted of her parents and older sister, lived between the cities of Reidsville and Greensboro in North Carolina. One day they had an errand in Reidsville and on their way there they saw an older couple walking on the opposite side of the road. A couple of hours later, leaving Reidsville on their way home, they saw the same couple in the same spot heading in the same direction as before; almost as if they had been walking on a treadmill having gained no ground at all. They pulled up and asked if they needed a lift and they said they were trying to get to Greensboro to the bus station. My grandfather agreed to take them there but first, they would have to go home to be there in time to pick up their oldest daughter from the school bus near their house.Once inside the car, it became painfully obvious that they were poorly dressed for the cold icy weather. The woman was wearing a summer dress and sandals and the man a shirt and bib overalls and shoes along with a brimmed hat. My mother being a small child sat between her parents in the front seat but turned around facing the couple staring at the strangers as children do, taking in their appearance. The one thing that stood out in her mind was the man's piercing beautiful blue eyes. The man reached into his pocket and handed her a red pencil with Coca-Cola written on it. When they reached home it was decided that they would have lunch with the couple, who said they were the Bradleys, before the drive to Greensboro. Considering their clothing my grandmother decided to give them more appropriate winter clothing and coats and shoes for the woman who only had sandals. Grandmother also decided to pack them snacks and sandwiches for their trip.With their guests well-fed and with warmer clothing and snacks, everyone piled into the car to take them to Greensboro. Halfway on their trip, the Bradleys insisted that they needed to be let off on a bridge on old US Highway 29. Grandfather protested saying no they would likely not get another ride and being winter it would be getting dark soon and insisted on carrying them all the way. But they said, 'No!' They must be left off on the bridge. A sort of back and forth occurred between my grandfather and the Bradleys with them asking to please be let off on the bridge. Unable to change their mind he obliged and stopped the car. They opened the door and got out and immediately disappeared, leaving the door still open. My Grandfather was horrified, jumping out of the car, looking to see if they had fallen down on the ice out of his view. But they were nowhere to be found. He looked all about and called for them but nothing but silence. The whole area was clear as far as he could see but still nothing. He got back in the car with his family, severely upset and confused as to what just happened as was everybody else. Frantically they drove up and down the road looking for them wondering if they had somehow got another ride, trying to rationalize the obviously spectacular disappearance of the Bradleys. After a fruitless search, they drove back home confused as to what had occurred.This made a huge impression on my mother, having distinctly remembered the incident all her life. So the question remains - who were the Bradleys? Were they ghosts? But ghosts don't stay all afternoon with you and eat lunch. Furthermore when they disappeared the clothes given to them disappeared as well. Even the sandwiches that were packed for them. This suggests that they were solid beings. Also, why did they insist on being let off on the bridge, saying it must be done? Was it some sort of portal or gateway home? On a trip to Wellborn, Florida, the daughter of the witness and of a friend were terrified by a possible Gray alien being that was watching them from outside. There is more to the story!I received the following account:"This event involves my oldest daughter and the oldest daughter of a long-time family friend. My daughters and I drove from Brunswick, Georgia to Wellborn, Florida; which we did several times throughout the year, usually around Halloween so my daughters could celebrate with my friend's daughters. On this trip, we stayed up sitting near a bonfire in her yard, catching up with one another, eventually going inside to settle in for the night. It was October 30, 2003.I checked on our two oldest daughters who had been watching TV late into the night. My oldest daughter and my friend's oldest daughter were sitting together in the family Lazy Boy recliner. When I went to check on them before bed and tell them not to stay up too late, I noticed that they both looked scared. I asked them what was wrong and they said they 'swore that they just saw a "scary looking" face with big dark eyes'. I asked them to tell me more and they began to cry. My oldest daughter stated that she felt that something was 'watching them' (the living room window was behind the recliner) so she turned to look and said she saw a pale whitish-grey face with big black eyes in the window and that when she turned to look, it stayed only for a moment and then quickly backed away. So when I entered the living room to check on them, it had just happened and they were both scared. So I talked them into going to bed reassuring them it was probably just their imagination and not to worry.Well, a little later, approximately an hour or so, I heard a sound on the roof, heard the girls crying and sounding scared. So I went into their room where my friend's oldest daughter had a bunk bed and my oldest daughter was on the top bunk. When I entered the room, they were both crying and scared again, claiming that they heard what sounded like tiny feet walking across the roof. I noticed that their pet was acting funny (nervous) too. This friend has also shared stories with me that she and her family have been "visited" before and that she feels she and her family have been abducted over the years. I was never sure, but was curious because I had my own experiences over the years.On another occasion, at another residential location that this same friend lived at prior, we (my daughters, her kids, and her boyfriend-separate time with more witnesses) all witnessed a bluish glow coming from the woods in front of her house (both locations are way out in the country away from the city) and heard sounds. I remember commenting on that 1st incident when we were outside how I loved the sounds of the owls (there sounded like 2 or 3) hooting back and forth to one another. That's all I remember during this particular incident. It seems that at some point I was able to convince the girls to go back to sleep and we all did. Rep. Bob Good, R-Va., will resign shortly as chairman of the House Freedom Caucus, a group of the chamber’s most conservative members, after losing his primary election. Good told reporters Monday that he had submitted his resignation to the caucus board, but didn’t provide a timeline for his official resignation as chairman. Sources familiar with the matter, however, told news outlets that Good’s resignation would become official by week’s end. In June, Good lost his primary in Virginia’s 5th Congressional District to his challenger, state Sen. John McGuire. McGuire had the endorsement of former President Donald Trump working on his behalf, as well as the political apparatus of former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif. The challenger had a 374-vote lead over Good before the primary headed for a recount. That recount solidified McGuire’s victory in early August. Good attempted to fend off the influence of Trump and McCarthy in the primary. He found himself on Trump’s bad side because, before endorsing Trump, he supported Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in the GOP presidential primary. Good was also one of the House members who voted to oust McCarthy as speaker last October.  In the coming weeks, the House Freedom Caucus will decide who will become Good’s successor as chairman. With the caucus looking to expand its membership after contested House races throughout the country in the Nov. 5 election, it seems likely that members will move quickly on appointing a new leader, at least on an interim basis. Recent reports suggest that Reps. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., and Andy Harris, R-Md., are on the short list to replace Good as chairman of the caucus. This is a developing story and may be updated. Robin DiAngelo, the notorious “anti-racist” activist and the author of “White Fragility,” admitted in a blog post Thursday that The Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh tricked her into filming a scene in which she pays “reparations” to a black man in the satirical documentary “Am I Racist?” In her statement on the issue, she resorted to citing the discredited left-wing smear factory the Southern Poverty Law Center. DiAngelo did not respond to The Daily Signal’s request for comment about why she cited the SPLC, but Walsh did respond to her decision to cite that organization. “Robin DiAngelo is so entrenched in a leftist bubble that she got duped by me in a wig. No wonder she thinks the SPLC is a reliable source,” Walsh told The Daily Signal in a statement Friday. ‘Am I Racist?‘ “Am I Racist” launches in theaters Friday. The film’s Internet Movie Database (imdb.com) description reads: “A man investigates diversity, equity, and inclusion practices, exposing absurdities through undercover social experiments.” The film exposes the absurdities of critical race theory, a lens through which activists such as DiAngelo interpret American society as systemically racist, and where black people are inherently oppressed and white people are inherently oppressors, despite the decades of civil rights law guaranteeing equal rights and despite the success of certain minority groups that do not fit that stereotype. Critical race theory—rebranded “anti-racism” for a broader audience—has spread in academia and corporate America. In her blog post, DiAngelo recounted how the film team introduced themselves last year. The Daily Wire team told her they were making a documentary film called “Shades of Justice,” and that they “planned to interview anti-racist activists, authors and thought leaders in service of supporting the cause of racial equity.” She admitted taking $15,000 for an interview, a sum she claims she has since donated to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. DiAngelo recalled that Walsh introduced himself as “Matt” and “presented himself as someone new to anti-racist work and seemed earnest, and his questions did not come across as adversarial.” She then described a scene in which Walsh asked if she supported reparations and when she said, “yes,” he persuaded her to hand a black member of his team some cash. She went on to say she was “unsettled by the way [Walsh] manipulated this last scene,” and she asked the Daily Wire team not to include it in the film. “I had been played,” she admitted. She condemned “Am I Racist?” as a “‘Borat’-style mockumentary … designed to humiliate and discredit anti-racist educators and activists.” (“Borat,” a 2006 dark humor mock documentary, followed a fictional Kazakh reporter in the United States.) After describing how she discovered the truth, DiAngelo asks, “So, who is Matt Walsh and what is his—and his backers’—agenda? Luckily for us, he has clearly answered that question, without shame, time and time again.” She then proceeds to quote the SPLC. The SPLC claims Walsh “frequently demonizes LGBTQ+ people and promotes racist and anti-transgender conspiracy theories.” What Is the SPLC? DiAngelo appears not to have questioned the reliability of her source. As I wrote in my book, “Making Hate Pay: The Corruption of the Southern Poverty Law Center,” the SPLC has faced numerous scandals and routinely weaponizes its “hate” accusations against conservatives, in part to silence any dissent against its own leftist agenda. The SPLC published a “hate map” that lists mainstream conservative and Christian organizations alongside chapters of the Ku Klux Klan. It uses this “hate map” as a reputational weapon to silence those who dissent from its woke agenda. While the SPLC’s education arm Learning for Justice pushes critical race theory and gender ideology, the “hate map” smears parental rights groups such as Moms for Liberty and Parents Defending Education as “extremists.” Conservative Christian groups that advocate religious freedom and define marriage as between one man and one woman appear on the SPLC map as “anti-LGBTQ hate groups.” National security experts who warn against radical Islamist terrorism find themselves branded “anti-Muslim hate groups.” Advocacy groups that call for the enforcement of immigration law and oppose open borders appear on the map as “anti-immigrant hate groups.” This year, the SPLC even added an openly homosexual group—Gays Against Groomers—to its list of “anti-LGBTQ hate groups.” In 2019, the SPLC fired its co-founder and saw its president resign amid a racial discrimination and sexual harassment scandal. At that time, a former employee called the “hate” accusations a “highly profitable scam.” The SPLC unionized after that scandal. Earlier this year, the SPLC Union broke the news of mass layoffs at the organization in June. The SPLC “gutted its staff by a quarter,” laying off more than 60 union members, including five union stewards and the union’s chair. Last month, 90% of the SPLC Union voted to demand the SPLC fire its president and CEO, Margaret Huang, accusing her of “union-busting.” The SPLC has stood by Huang, but the union has launched a petition that has gathered more than 5,000 signatures. The SPLC also currently faces a defamation lawsuit that crossed a major legal hurdle last year. If DiAngelo wants to discredit Walsh, she should choose a more reputable organization to cite. CNN host Chris Wallace joined his colleagues on CNN News Central on Friday to promote his latest episode of HBO Max's Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace with actor Robert De Niro. In both shows, Wallace marveled at De Niro labeling Trump a “gangster” and claimed that the accusation means more coming from him because he has played gangsters in movies. Wallace also admitted that he did not seek out De Niro, but rather that De Niro sought him out and that he obliged, “Well, what stood out is the fact that, frankly, people come on my show, our shows, because, actors do, because they have something they want to promote. Robert De Niro had nothing he wanted to promote. He just wanted to talk politics and he really wanted to take down Donald Trump. Take a look.”     In the preview clip, Wallace asked, “You really worry that if he were to win again, and I'm not saying this like it's such a far-fetched notion, if he were to win again, that he would not give up power?” De Niro replied, “You know, he won't, you know he won't. He even said it. He's never going to give it up. And anybody who deludes themselves and thinking that he is—shame on you.” Wallce then turned to gangsterism, “You have compared the Trump family to a gangster family, which is something coming from you. What do you mean by that?” As it was, De Niro proceeded to take the claim one step further and assert that Trump is actually worse than a gangster because at least gangsters have honor, “Well, they are because he thinks he's a gangster. He does everything like a gangster. I don't think that gangsters in that world would want, think much of him because you, in any, there's honor among thieves, there's honor in anything, if you don't keep your word and do the right thing with people, no matter what profession you're in, you are going to get ostracized and in that world is a little harder.” Wallace followed up, “Yeah, it’s more than being ostracized. Well, when you say that they are gangsters, in what way?” De Niro claimed, “He thinks he's a gangster. He thinks, 'I do something for you. You do something for me.'" Back live, Wallace repeated what he said in the clip, “You know, that's what I found. So fascinating. Sara, here is Robert De Niro, perhaps the most famous gangster actor in the world, saying that the gangsters, he knows, and he admits he knows some members of the mob and has certainly come across them in his 50 years of acting in New York City.
