Los Angeles is known for its sprawling estates and glamorous mansions. But not all stars want to live that kind of life. Some, like Jennifer Garner, want a beautiful and functional home. She wanted a place to cook, entertain, play games, and raise her three kids. Jen recently gave Architectural Digest a tour of her LA estate, and it’s absolutely amazing. Together with designers Steve and Brooke Giannetti, she created the home of her dreams without even a “Pinterest” board, she explained in a video tour. Inside, her home is inviting, with a moody color scheme and comfortable furniture, and she is just waiting for friends to gather and chat. Special touches like beautiful stained glass and a grand piano make her home a place anyone would love to visit. The Home Has Incredible Indoor and Outdoor Space Jennifer’s living room opens to a palatial backyard with a pool area where her kids and dogs can play. The gourmet kitchen would make even the most accomplished chef swoon. “Here alone, with my kids, on a weekend, I cannot tell you how often I make something and I’m just feeding them as it comes off the stove ’cause I’m not very good at things coming out of the oven or off the stove at the same time,” she said.  But the most amazing part of her “treehouse” kitchen has to be the baking area. As a big fan of sweets, she knew an area dedicated to creating special treats was a must. “So, I knew when I imagined my favorite kitchen ever, in my mind, that it would have an area dedicated to baking,” she added.  “It just makes it so much easier to have it all in one place and to know where your different flours are and your chocolate chips.” She shares children Violet, 18, Seraphina, 16, and Samuel, 12, with her ex-husband Ben Affleck. Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have been together for a long time, but their relationship wasn’t always perfect. The singer recently shared a bit of her story on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast. Even though she and Orlando are engaged with a daughter, Daisy Dove, their relationship hit a rough patch about a year in. Katy said they weren’t “really in it” initially, making the relationship fragile. “I mean, he was in a way, because he had just done a huge time of celibacy, and he had set intentions,” she said. “I was fresh out of a relationship, and I was just like, ‘I can’t do this anymore. I need to go swim in a different pond,’ but I had yet to do a lot of real work.” A Retreat Brought Them Back Together She explained that Orlando went on a one-week retreat to the Hoffman Institute in California, and it changed him. “There’s no medicine or plant medicine. It’s literally just scientists and therapists that have put together programming that help you quiet that imposter syndrome and also kinda awaken yourself and find that ‘reborn’ mode,” she said. When Orlando returned, he was different. Katy wanted someone to play games with, but that wasn’t him anymore. She said she moved on, but soon realized the retreat was what she needed, too. “I had a really tough year, and I finally went to Hoffman towards the end of that year that we were separated, and then I got the tools and spoke the same language, and it changed my life,” she said. “It saved my life. I would be dead without it. I would not be on this planet without that process — and meditation.” The pair got back together when Katy went to see him while she was performing near the spot where he was vacationing. She said they were better together and that she was glad to have him back in her life. “We all have our strengths and then our opportunities for growth. But one of his strengths [is] when I crumble, he can step in and be that anchor. That’s amazing,” she said, “because I’m usually just alpha, alpha, you know? But apparently, his daughters do. So, to dissuade their desire for a feline, he told a bit of a lie to his girls, Wyatt, 4, Elliotte, 3, and Bennett, 18 months. Jason shared with his brother, Travis, during an episode of their podcast New Heights that he told the girls that cats are “poisonous” so they’d stop bugging him to get one. A shocked Travis asked him why in the world he would tell them that, and Jason bluntly responded, “So that they don’t want cats. And I don’t have to deal with having a cat and make them terrified.”  Travis laughed at his brother and shared his disgust. Jason didn’t seem to care and said that “lying to your kids is important.” Travis shot back, “Not in this regard. They’re gonna go over a friend’s house and f—ing scream bloody murder because they see a cat.” It appears Jason’s wife, Kylie, isn’t helping his case and has assured their daughters that cats are safe. “Kylie is like, ‘They’re not poisonous. Your dad is lying to you.’ I’m like, listen, If you have a cat, the government will come and take it from you because they’re so lethal that I mean, they can kill you … and they don’t even have to bite you. Just them licking you.” Jason grew up with cats but is now a dog guy. He said they’ve ruined his future enough, and an indoor cat is never happening. He said he might consider an outdoor cat. Maybe.
