Oasis ticketing chaos prompts probe into dynamic pricing

The tour marks the first reunion for Oasis since Liam (left) and Noel Gallagher split the band in 2009. | Photo by Gie Knaeps/Getty Images The British government has pledged to investigate the use of dynamic pricing by ticketing websites after Oasis fans got priced out of the band’s surprise reunion tour. The UK’s advertising regulator told BBC News it had received 450 complaints regarding misleading ticket prices and availability, with many tickets more than doubling in price. Sales began on Saturday and sold out within hours after thousands of hopeful buyers spent the day in online queues. On Ticketmaster, the cost of some tickets increased from £135 (about $177 USD) when sales began, to over £350 (about $460 USD). UK Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy told ITV News that the government will “include issues around the transparency and use of dynamic pricing, including the... Continue reading…

Don’t expect these 5 new Apple products at the iPhone 16 event

The iPhone 16 event will take place exactly one week from now. While we expect several new products to be unveiled by Apple, the company might hold off on some of its most anticipated devices until sometime later this year or even next year. With that in mind, we've put together a roundup of some of the most eagerly awaited new Apple devices that are launching soon, but not at the "It's Glowtime" event that's set to take place on Monday, September 9th. Apple Watch SE 3 Image source: Christian de Looper for BGR A last-minute leak by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reveals that the Apple Watch SE 3 won't be released at the iPhone 16 event. If that turns out to be accurate, Apple will break its two-year cycle of Apple Watch SE updates. Besides an Apple Watch Series 8-like design, this device was expected to have a plastic body, a better processor, and new health features. It's now scheduled to be released next year with the iPhone 17. AirPods Max 2 Image source: José Adorno for BGR Count me in as one of the Apple users who can't wait for AirPods Max 2 to be released. Rumors so far haven't given us a great look at these premium headphones. However, I expect Apple to add a better audio chip, Find My capabilities, Lossless support, and all the fancy features coming to AirPods Pro with iOS 18. These headphones are expected to launch later this year. M4 Macs Image source: Christian de Looper for BGR Apple usually doesn't unveil Macs at iPhone keynotes. This year won't be different, so you shouldn't expect M4 Macs at the iPhone 16 event. Cupertino usually releases new Macs in October or November. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman recently said Apple aims to launch new M4 Macs in November. Possibly, we'll see a new Mac mini, MacBook Pro models, and a new iMac. Here's when to expect new M4 Macs Apple TV 4K Image source: Christian de Looper for BGR The latest Apple TV was released in 2022, a year after the previous model. At this moment, it's unclear when Apple plans to upgrade this device, even though it was first expected to be unveiled in the first half of 2024. Rumors suggest a new model could come with Apple Intelligence features, the A17 Pro chip, and a camera. However, you shouldn't expect this set-top box before early 2025. AirTag 2 Image source: Apple Inc. Lastly, don't expect Apple's AirTag 2 at the iPhone 16 event. Even though this product needs a new generation with a better ultrawide band chip and louder speakers, it seems Apple is readying a 2025 release for its item tracker. We really hope Apple offers the AirTag in new form factors as well. iPhone 16 event wrap up We just covered five products you shouldn't expect at the iPhone 16 event. New Documentary Suggests Gary Coleman May Have Been Killed By Ex-Wife, Shannon Price

Gary Coleman, the beloved child star who gained fame for his portrayal of Arnold Jackson on the iconic sitcom Diff’rent Strokes, passed away on May 28, 2010, at the age of 42. His death has since been shrouded in controversy, sparking numerous debates and speculations over the years. At the heart of this controversy are the questionable decisions made regarding his medical care in his final days,  protracted legal battles over his estate, and his ex-wife, Shannon Price’s alleged involvement in his death. Recently, a new documentary has surfaced, shedding light on Coleman’s life and the numerous challenges he faced leading up to his death. The documentary suggested that his passing might not have been due to natural causes as previously thought but instead raises the unsettling possibility of foul play, which has reignited interest in the tragic end of the actor’s life. New documentary alleges that Gary Coleman was murdered by his ex-wife, Shannon Price   View this post on Instagram   A post shared by The JRE Companion (@thejrecompanion) The newly released Gary, which premiered on August 29, delves into the tragic circumstances surrounding the death of Coleman. Through a series of in-depth interviews with his close friends and family, the film sheds new light on the events leading up to his passing. Initially, Coleman’s death was ruled accidental, but recent revelations have led them to reclassify it as a murder investigation, with Price emerging as the central figure in this shocking development. RELATED: Todd Bridges Details Challenges Faced By Late Gary Coleman, Claims He Was ‘Taken Advantage Of’ Those close to Coleman have made alarming allegations regarding Price’s actions during the incident. They assert that her refusal to assist her bleeding husband in his critical time of need, coupled with her abrupt departure from the scene under the pretense of avoiding trauma, raises serious questions about her intentions. Shannon Price refutes allegations, claims she didn’t do anything to her husband Most disturbingly, Price is accused of having made the decision to unplug Coleman’s life support after only two days, a move that directly contradicted Coleman’s explicit written wishes. These troubling details have led many to believe that her behavior was not only negligent but potentially criminal, placing her squarely at the heart of this tragic case. She categorically refuted any claims of misconduct, expressing her profound shock and disbelief at the accusations. Price emphasized that her actions were motivated purely by love and concern for her late husband, “I would never hurt my husband, ever.” Click for next Article The post New Documentary Suggests Gary Coleman May Have Been Killed By Ex-Wife, Shannon Price appeared first on DoYouRemember? - The Home of Nostalgia.
