Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance blasted some of Vice President Kamala Harris’ answers during her CNN interview, saying on Friday morning that “it’s bizarre” she claims to hold the same values while changing her policy positions. Vance spoke to the hosts of “Fox & Friends” hours after Harris sat down for her first major interview since becoming the Democrats’ de facto nominee more than a month ago. Asked about Harris telling CNN anchor Dana Bash that her “values have not changed,” Vance told voters “not to buy” her claim. “It’s pretty bizarre, right? So if you have the same values why have you changed your mind on literally every topic that you previously held an opinion on?” Vance asked. “But I think it’s important for us not to buy this. If you look at the way Kamala Harris has governed, she’s actually governed as a far-Left person.” “She’s just trying to pretend that she’s not far-Left now because, of course, she wants to win the American people’s votes in the next couple months,” Vance added. “But if she does, she’s going to do the same thing she’s been doing for the last few years. She’s going to try to make it harder to get American energy from American territory. She’s going to make it harder for us to drive down the cost of everything from food to housing. Is it because you have more experience now and you have learned more about the information? Is it because you were running for president in a Democratic primary? And should they feel comfortable and confident that what you’re saying now is going to be your policy moving forward?” “I think the most important and most significant aspect of my policy perspective and decisions is my values have not changed,” Harris said. She then defended her support of the leftist Green New Deal, arguing that through President Joe Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act, the Biden-Harris administration passed similar policies to those proposed in the Green New Deal. “We have set goals for the United States of America and, by extension, the globe around when we should meet certain standards for reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, as an example. That value has not changed,” she told Bash. The Harris campaign has said that the vice president’s positions on the major issue of illegal immigration have changed over the years. Harris campaign spokesmen told Fox News on Thursday that the vice president now believes “unauthorized border crossings are illegal.” In 2017, Harris said, “An undocumented immigrant is not a criminal.” WATCH THE TRAILER FOR ‘AM I RACIST?’ — A MATT WALSH COMEDY ON DEI While running for president in 2019, Harris said she would push to shut down immigration detention centers on “day one.” Now, the Harris campaign says her position is the same as the Biden-Harris administration, which she claims “prioritize[s] detention and removal for individuals who pose threats to public safety and national security, as well as ensure[s] compliance with immigration proceedings and decisions, including removal.” “It’s really absurd for Kamala Harris to sit there and say, ‘Well, I don’t really believe in any of the things I told you I believe three years ago,'” Vance said. “She has governed as a person who believes those things, and unfortunately, the American people are far [worse] off because of it.”

The legal team for former President Donald Trump requested that a federal court take control of his New York criminal case ahead of potential sentencing next month for his conviction on falsifying business records.   Trump’s legal team filed a motion in the Southern District of New York on Thursday to remove the case from Judge Juan Merchan as Trump seeks dismissal on presidential immunity grounds. The former president was convicted in May of 34 counts of falsifying business records brought by Democrat Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.  “The ongoing proceedings will continue to cause direct and irreparable harm to President Trump—the leading candidate in the 2024 Presidential election — and voters located far beyond Manhattan,” the filing said. “Post-trial removal is necessary under these circumstances to afford President Trump an unbiased forum, free from local hostilities, where he can seek redress for these Constitutional violations.” The filing asks for the court to remove the case from the state level and confirm that Trump cannot be sentenced by Merchan while litigation over the removal motion proceeds. Sentencing is currently scheduled for September 18.  Trump’s legal team also argued that the restrictions Merchan has placed on him regarding speaking about the case violate his First Amendment rights.  “The continued operation of this unlawful prior restraint is causing irreparable First Amendment harm to President Trump and the American people, and it operates as a wholly inappropriate muzzle on the leading candidate in the 2024 Presidential election while he is on the campaign trail and during any debate against Vice President Harris.” Tickets for “Am I Racist?” are on sale NOW! Buy here for a theater near you. Trump previously moved to dismiss the case based on the Supreme Court’s July ruling that presidents have broad immunity from prosecution. Merchan has indicated he will rule on the motion to dismiss on September 16, two days before the sentencing is scheduled. Upon sentencing, Trump could face four years in prison and a $5,000 fine for each of the 34 convictions. The filing highlighted Merchan’s ties to the Democratic party, including donations made to Joe Biden’s campaign and his daughter’s previous work for Kamala Harris’s 2020 presidential campaign.  The House Judiciary Committee subpoenaed Authentic Campaigns this week, the leftist organization that employs Merchan’s daughter.

Except celebrities were just warming up. And it could only get worse between now and Election Day. Is that possible? Well, Hollywood is all about make believe, and what candidate is more smoke and mirrors than Harris? Let’s start with Ben Stiller, the comedy superstar who originally made us cringe during that “White Dudes” debacle. Stiller summoned his “Zoolander” character in the worst of ways when he uttered this pablum: “Every White Jewish Guy Wishes He Was Black.” Stiller wasn’t done, apparently. Julia Louis-Dreyfus previously vowed to be very active in the Harris presidential campaign. We were warned. Her latest contribution? Co-starring in a humiliating “dance” video for Team Harris alongside such noted hoofers as Rep. Nancy Pelosi, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, Hillary Clinton and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Why? “The Late Show” shared the clip to celebrate the recent Democratic National Convention. The dancers wave their arms to Queen’s “We Will Rock You” on the TikTok video, and it’s hard to see who comes off worse. No context. No purpose. No attempt to use their combined profiles to do anything but look self-satisfied. The only winner here? Gadot, who can rest easy knowing she’s not part of the lamest celebrity video in recent memory. I’m, screaming from the highest mountain top I can find. Vote for our country, our children and grandchildren. Vote for the earth and women and human rights. Vote for democracy. Vice President Harris avoided journalist questions for well over a month before agreeing to a joint CNN softball affair with her Vice Presidential candidate Tim Walz. Empowering. Directorial legend Quentin Tarantino’s pro-Harris blather made even Trump-hater Bill Maher blush. The two discussed Harris’ election chances on Maher’s “Club Random” podcast, letting Tarantino share his curious advice for the word salad spinner. The subject? Harris’ reluctance to answer questions from the media. Maher suggested she needed to reach out to undecided voters. Tarantino’s response? Too risky! Look, you can talk about maybe she should have had more guts about this or that and the other but we’re the f***ing president. And Trump’s not the president, and we’re the f***ing president, and now it’s gonna be about this … sometimes it’s just about f***ing winning. And it doesn’t matter how we look at this moment. Translation: Our candidate can’t swat away softball questions, but she’s got MY vote. And let’s not forget the Foo Fighters. The alt-rock band was ready to join The Resistance™ after Team Trump used its “My Hero” song during the Aug. 23 rally featuring Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. The band rushed to social media to complain, adding “appropriate actions are being taken” to address the matter. Except Trump’s team says it bought the rights to use the song. The group joins a long list of progressive stars who kick and scream when a GOP politician uses their music … and does nothing.
