He sought the Republican presidential nomination in 2016 but dropped out and endorsed Donald Trump. Christie helped Trump with debate preparations in 2020 but eventually broke with the former president and refused to support his claims of voter fraud in the 2020 election. Christie campaigned for the presidential nomination again in 2024 but dropped out in January just before the Iowa caucuses. Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris was unable to answer during an CNN interview broadcast on Thursday why she has not implemented her proposed agenda while serving as vice president of the United States. Harris was asked about the issue during the first interview that she has given since she became the party’s de facto nominee roughly 40 days ago. “Well, first of all, we had to recover as an economy, and we have done that,” she claimed, without noting that the economy was already on the road to recovery when the Biden-Harris administration took over in January 2021. The Trump campaign said Thursday that Vice President Kamala Harris was “still a San Francisco radical” after she claimed multiple times in a CNN interview that her values “have not changed” when asked about her shifting stances on issues from fracking to illegal immigration.  Harris’s comments came during a pre-recorded interview with CNN’s Dana Bash, which was conducted alongside vice presidential candidate Tim Walz, that aired Thursday evening. It was Harris’s first sit-down interview since she became the de facto Democratic nominee after President Joe Biden announced he was dropping out of the race.  “It’s been well over a month since Kamala Harris became the Democrat nominee and she finally decided to give an interview,” the Trump campaign said. “Kamala said her values ‘have not changed’ three separate times. She’s still a San Francisco radical.” Trump’s campaign ripped into Harris for spending little time on crime, the economy, and immigration, three of the top issues that have been a focus of former President Donald Trump. “Kamala spoke for just over 16 minutes and didn’t even address the crime crisis in this nation.
