Meta says it’s mistakenly moderating too much

Illustration: Nick Barclay / The Verge Meta is mistakenly removing too much content across its apps, according to a top executive. Nick Clegg, Meta’s president of global affairs, told reporters on Monday that the company’s moderation “error rates are still too high” and pledged to “improve the precision and accuracy with which we act on our rules.” “We know that when enforcing our policies, our error rates are still too high, which gets in the way of the free expression that we set out to enable,” Clegg said during a press call I attended. “Too often, harmless content gets taken down, or restricted, and too many people get penalized unfairly.” He said the company regrets aggressively removing posts about the COVID-19 pandemic. Foldable iPhone seen as the holy grail the industry needs

Every time Samsung mocks Apple for not having a foldable iPhone in its lineup, I'm reminded that Samsung is actually dying to see Apple start making foldable devices. The reasons are multiple. Second, Samsung is a top foldable OLED panel maker and a likely supplier for the foldable iPhone. Finally, any innovations the foldable iPhone brings to the market would become standards others will quickly copy. That was all speculation on my part, but a new report from the display experts at DSCC sees the foldable iPhone release as the catalyst the foldable phone industry needs to see any growth in the coming years. Continue reading... The post Foldable iPhone seen as the holy grail the industry needs appeared first on BGR. NATO Chief Demurs on Membership: Back Ukraine With Weapons

NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte on Tuesday sidestepped questions about Ukraine's possible membership of the military alliance, saying the priority now must be to strengthen the country's hand in any future peace talks with Russia by sending it more weapons.

Why the Left Is Freaking Out Over Kash Patel

Vengeance is mine, sayeth Patel. Most presidents choose loyal Cabinet members, but, in President-elect Donald Trump’s case, the word most often used is “subservient.” The soon-to-be 47th president…

The Hit Wasn't Dirty: You're Just a Racist According to Texans Linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair

The NFL goes to great lengths to protect quarterbacks. If they are hit too late, it's roughing the quarterback. If they are too high, it's roughing the quarterback. If they are hit too low, it's roughing…
