There’s the $449.99 white discless Xbox Series X, a 2TB “Galaxy Black” special-edition Xbox Series X priced at $599.99, and a $349.99 1TB Xbox Series S. All three models will be available in the US on October 15th, with other markets to follow on October 29th. The white coating on the exterior of this new discless Xbox Series X matches the “robot white” found on the Xbox Series S, Microsoft’s smaller $299 console. While leaks of the white Xbox Series X hinted that Microsoft may upgrade the heatsink used to cool the console, the company hasn’t detailed any hardware changes beyond the removal of the disc drive here. The Expedition-like SUV had already been delayed to 2027; with its cancellation, the company will now pivot to making new gas and hybrid-powered three-row SUVs. Ford now says it won’t release any new electric vehicles until it can ensure profitability on the models within the first year of launch and prioritize a new commercial EV van that will begin production in Ohio in 2026. Ford has struggled to bring its spending on EV production in line with the revenue brought in by its vehicle lineup, which includes the Mustang Mach-E, F-150 Lightning, and E-Transit van. Six Super Mario: Mario Kart-themed Lego sets will debut on January 1st, 2025. | Image: Lego After teasing the next expansion of its Super Mario line back in March, today, Lego announced the first six Mario Kart sets that will release just after the holidays on January 1st, 2025. Lego’s Mario Kart collection includes new buildable versions of characters like Yoshi, Donkey Kong, and Toad; baby versions of Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach; and several kart designs, from motorcycles to flying pirate ships. There are also green and red shells that can actually be fired from the karts. Samsung just unveiled its latest gaming monitors during Gamescom 2024. One of the models, the Odyssey 3D, offers glasses-free 3D viewing. “We are thrilled to present our glasses-free 3D gaming monitor at Gamescom, the world’s largest gaming exhibition,” said Hoon Chung, Executive Vice President of Enterprise Business Team, Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “Samsung remains committed to leading the premium gaming monitor market by continuously developing cutting-edge technologies that enhance the gaming experience.” According to Samsung, the Odyssey 3D's light field display technology creates lifelike 3D images from 2D content using a lenticular lens on the front panel. Combined with Eye Tracking and View Mapping technology, Odyssey 3D ensures an optimized 3D experience without the need for separate 3D glasses. The company explains that Eye Tracking monitors the movement of both eyes using a built-in stereo camera, while View Mapping continuously adjusts the image to enhance depth perception. It is available in 27" and 37" sizes and features a 4K display, a rapid 1ms gray-to-gray response time, and a high refresh rate of 165Hz. The Odyssey 3D offers an ergonomic design, a Height-Adjustment Stand, tilt capabilities, FreeSync Premium, one DisplayPort 1.4, and two HDMI 2.1 ports. Samsung says this monitor will be released later this year, but price information hasn't been disclosed so far. A QUICK GROUND BEEF DINNER RECIPE When I tell you this Ground Beef and Gravy is one comforting meal I truly mean it. It is so simple yet so delicious, you will want to make it at least once a week. It is one of those comfort meals I make pretty often and it’s one I know everyone will enjoy. This meal easily feeds four people and can be stretched a bit further if you serve with something filling like mashed potatoes. It’s meals like this that fill bellies without breaking the bank! FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:  What do I serve with Ground Beef and Gravy? We love this Ground Beef and Gravy best with some of my Crock Pot Mashed Potatoes or simple stove top Creamy Mashed Potatoes. But this is also delicious with egg noodles, on a bed of rice or even your favorite pasta. What else can I add? Add some diced onion and bell pepper to the meat to make it a little more bulked up. You could also stir in some frozen veggies while it is simmering for a heartier meal. Can I swap out ground beef? Turkey, chicken, or venison can all be used instead of ground beef if desired. Stir in the garlic, minced onion, and black pepper until fragrant, 30 seconds. Add the flour and stir it in, cook for 1 minute. Slowly stream in the beef broth while stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Add the Worcestershire sauce and stir it in. Simmer for 5 minutes until thickened, serve immediately over mashed potatoes.
