We prayed those things were him defying odds & proving to us that he wanted to stay here but we see now he wanted to give us time to find peace with letting him go. I told you my baby was thoughtful & considerate, I truly believe he did that for us.” Family friend Mindy Sue Clark confirmed Levi’s passing, stating he was “the absolute best little boy.” The Wright family is navigating life without their beloved child. They are leaning on their faith and the love they’ve received nationwide. Christian Artist Mandisa died at the age of 47 and her cause of death has now been revealed. Seven weeks removed from her passing, the cause of death of Grammy-winning singer Mandisa was revealed Tuesday. Mandisa Lynn Hundley was found dead in her home on April 18, sparking a flurry of rumors that her father addressed during the funeral by telling the audience, “She did not harm herself.” RELATED: Danny Gokey Relives the Heartbreaking Moment He First Learned of Mandisa's Death On Tuesday, the official cause of death was released, revealing that Mandisa died from complications of class III obesity, The Tennessean reported. Dr. Feng Li, a medical examiner, told the paper that her cause of death was listed as natural. Class III obesity, according to the Cleveland Clinic, is a “complex chronic disease in which a person has a body mass index (BMI) of 40 or higher or a BMI of 35 or higher and is experiencing obesity-related health conditions.” Christian Artist Mandisa’s Cause of Death Revealed When she died, Mandisa was 47. Mandisa was known for her positive, upbeat songs such as ‘Overcomer’ and ‘Stronger.’ These became life anthems for her fans. The K-Love Fan Awards aired a special tribute to her and another CCM artist, Gabe Patillo, last week. Colton Dixon and Danny Gokey introduced the tribute. In 2022, she released a book, Out of the Dark: My Journey Through the Shadows to Find God’s Joy, where she opened up about her battle with depression. She also co-hosted the Out of the Dark podcast with Mandisa and Laura Williams. Her openness about her bouts with depression led to rumors that the cause of death was self-harm. Her father, though, rejected such rumors. Mandisa Had Such a Love for the Lord “Mandisa loved the Lord, and the Lord loved Mandisa,” John Hundley, Mandisa’s father shared. Her father shared this during the April service at Brentwood Baptist Church in Brentwood, Tennessee. In 2022, she told Crosswalk Headlines she wrote her book, Out of the Dark, hoping it would spark an open discussion among Christians about mental health. And I hope it will encourage people to walk through it with God and not try to do it alone.” Her lively demeanor and commanding vocals propelled her to a Top 9 finish in the 2006 version of American Idol. Then, she she found a home in contemporary Christian music. Her debut album, True Beauty, soared to No. 1 on the Billboard Christian album charts. Later her last two albums, Overcomer and Out of the Dark, performed just as well. We witnessed her worship when no one was looking. We would see her in the back of an events center or a sanctuary, dancing before the Lord.” Her father said his favorite song by his daughter was Bleed the Same. The lyrics, he said, “are asking you and me, all Americans, to come together in unity and get along.” Mandisa won a Grammy for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album for Overcomer. CNN could be on the hook for a big payout stemming from a defamation lawsuit over a report about a military veteran who sought to help people flee Afghanistan when the U.S. withdrew from the country in 2021 that aired on anchor Jake Tapper’s show. New details about the court battle are coming to light ahead of CNN’s presidential debate on Thursday between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump. Tapper is expected to moderate alongside fellow anchor Dana Bash. A Florida appellate court affirmed this month that U.S. Navy veteran Zachary Young and his company, Nemex Enterprises Inc., could seek punitive damages for the Afghanistan story that the plaintiff alleges had improperly suggested he was an illegal profiteer. Vel Freedman, Young’s lawyer, told NewsBusters his client lost $40-60 million in economic opportunity and could get up to $600 million if a jury awards him emotional damages. With punitive damages, CNN could also end up paying $1 billion, per the report. The lawsuit alleges CNN wrecked Young’s reputation and business with its report by correspondent Alex Marquardt. Tapper introduced the segment by telling of a “black market” with demands of “exorbitant fees” and “no guarantee of safety or success.” Internal communications produced in the case showed CNN employees call Young, the sole operator profiled in the TV and online report, a “shitbag” and “a-hole.” There was also a remark about how they were “going to nail this Zachary Young mfucker.” CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APP Other CNN messages revealed discussions about how the story was “full of holes like Swiss cheese” and Young telling Marquardt hours before publication that there were factual inaccuracies in the reporting — which CNN went and published anyway. CNN argued in its appeal that it “did not intend to harm,” that its “language was either opinion or ambiguous,” and that the internal communications were “journalistic bravado that reflected a sincere belief in the reporting,” the appeals court noted in its opinion. But “Young sufficiently proffered evidence of actual malice, express malice, and a level of conduct outrageous enough to open the door for him to seek punitive damages,” the judges said as they affirmed a trial court judge’s ruling that came before it. The Daily Wire reached out to a CNN representative on Tuesday seeking comment on the Florida appellate court’s ruling but did not immediately receive a response.
