Image: The Verge Microsoft is losing another key Xbox executive at the end of the month. Xbox chief marketing officer Jerret West is leaving Microsoft to join Roblox as its new CMO and head of market expansion. Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer confirmed the move in an internal memo to Xbox employees today, which was obtained by The Verge. West previously spent eight years at Microsoft on the Xbox marketing side, before departing in 2011 and then eventually spending seven years at Netflix as the head of marketing. West returned to Microsoft in late 2019, leading the marketing for the launch of the Xbox Series S / X consoles. Following his departure from Microsoft last year, where he was a public face for the Xbox brand, Hryb will be joining Unity’s Community team, he announced on Monday. At Microsoft, he, among other things, hosted the Official Xbox Podcast and posted about Xbox to his large following on X. On LinkedIn, he lists his new job title as “Director of Community,” and based on a LinkedIn post, it seems like he’ll still be a brand ambassador in some form. “Unity’s mission of empowering creative and business success of creators around the world across games, apps, and experiences aligns with my lifelong passion for innovation and community building,” Hryb wrote in the post. “I am eager to collaborate... A week after iOS 18 was announced during the WWDC 2024 keynote, Apple released iOS 17.6 beta 1. This is most likely the last major iOS 17 software update before iOS 18 is released. At the moment, it's unclear what the changes are for this version, although Apple is likely just adding security patches and stability improvements. iOS 18 will include several changes, such as a redesign of the Home Screen and Control Center, Apple Intelligence, and other changes for its core apps. Still, several features aren't available with beta 1. That said, developers can also try iOS 17.6 beta 1, as Apple is about to end its iOS 17 development cycle. Apple confirmed during the WWDC 2024 main keynote what many people had suspected: iOS 18 will bring official RCS support to the iPhone. Many Android users have wanted this feature for years, which is why Google and other rivals have been running massive ad campaigns against Apple. Apple didn't say when it'll enable RCS on iPhone. Most people running iOS 18 beta 1 did not see RCS support in the Messages app. I installed iOS 18 as soon as it came out, and my text messages to non-iPhone users are still marked as SMS. Mini chocolate chips give the effect of watermelon seeds and add a hint of chocolate flavor. The Fourth of July is nearly here. Can you believe it ? This summer is absolutely flying by. It feels like Memorial Day was just yesterday. But there are still many weeks ahead for enjoying watermelon. My favorite way to enjoy watermelon is by sprinkling just a little salt on a slice. Sometimes the simplest things in life really are the best. But sometimes something a little more original and special is called for. Watermelon Mojitos Cupcakes Recipe These Watermelon Mojito Cupcakes are a treat both kids and grown-ups will enjoy. To fully give the effect of a Mojito, the delicious summer cocktail with rum and mint, I added a little rum to the batter and rum extract to the frosting. But you could easily omit the rum from the batter or only add it to half of the batter. Using a box of white cake mix, these cupcakes turn out super light, making them a great choice for an outdoor picnic. Because of the frosting, you will want to keep them in a cool place until serving. If left in the heat, they might turn into melted watermelon cupcakes and that wouldn’t be any fun. Wouldn’t be very pretty either. Ingredients Needed Box of White Cake Mix– use a regular-size box. I use either Duncan Hines or Betty Crocker. Watermelon Puree– You’ll need to puree enough watermelon in a bleber to make 1 1/4 cups. Egg Whites Vegetable Oil Light Rum– It wouldn’t be a mojito-flavored cupcake without the rum. Red Food Coloring– you will need 20 to 30 drops to get them watermelon red. Mini Chocolate Chips– add chocolate flavor and look like watermelon seeds. Butter– I use salted but you can use unsalted and add a pinch of salt. Cream cheese– a combo of butter and cream cheese makes for an extra creamy frosting. Rum and Mint Extract– give the frosting a mojito flavor. Powdered Sugar Green Food Coloring– use about 20 drops. Milk– you will need just a touch of milk to thin the icing. How To Store Because of the cream cheese in the frosting, I like to store these cupcakes in the refrigerator. Unfrosted cupcakes can be stores at room temperature in an airtight container for 3 days.
