Ukraine’s military released new footage on social media this week that showed the country using small suicide drones to attack and destroy an entire Russian military convoy inside of Russia’s borders. “The column of military equipment of the Russian army in the Kursk region was destroyed by the collaborative efforts of the 53rd Mechanized Brigade and the 103rd Territorial Defense Brigade,” the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine posted on X. The post included a video that showed more than a dozen Russian military vehicles traveling on a road when a small drone flew into one of the trucks at the front of the column, causing it to erupt into flames. Shortly thereafter, the other trucks got off the road and drove through a field as they raced to hide in rows of trees and bushes. However, their efforts were unsuccessful when a larger surveillance drone that was flying overhead was easily able to locate the other trucks and the small kamikaze drones quickly moved in for the kill. Newsweek reported that the convoy was traveling within two miles of Ukraine’s northern border, according to various sources. Videos from the suicide drones showed them all zeroing in on the trucks, some of which appeared to be hit multiple times, and flying straight into them, at which point their explosive payload detonated. Former President Donald Trump ripped into President Joe Biden on Monday over his handling of illegal immigration after an illegal immigrant from Venezuela allegedly shot two New York cops.  Trump said that Biden had enabled a wave of crime from illegal immigrants that was endangering the public. His comments came after police said that 19-year-old Bernardo Raul Castro-Mata shot officers Christopher Abreu, and Richard Yarusso after they attempted to question him about a robbery.  “Biden Migrant Crime is out of control and is ravaging America! Last night, two brave NYPD officers doing their job were shot by a Monster Illegal Immigrant who came here illegally from Venezuela last year and was living in a tax-payer funded migrant shelter,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “Crooked Joe Biden has trafficked in the worst people from around the world, many with heinous criminal records, and unleashed them into our communities.”  The former president then pivoted to saying the border needed to be secured and a border wall built.  “Soros-funded DA Alvin Bragg should focus on keeping the streets of New York safe, but has instead wasted time and money engaging in a ridiculous political witch-hunt against yours truly,” he said. “We must focus on finishing the wall, securing our border, and keeping our streets safe. MAGA 2024!” According to investigators, police attempted to stop Castro-Mata on Monday after they saw him driving a moped down the wrong side of the street as they investigated a robbery in Queens at 1:40 a.m.  CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APP After police attempted to speak with him, Castro-Mata ran away on foot and fired “multiple times” at the officers, hitting one in his bulletproof vest and the other in the leg, according to New York City Police Commissioner Eddie Caban. The officers responded, shooting Castro-Mata in the ankle.  The officers were taken to a nearby hospital where they were in stable condition. Castro-Mata was also expected to survive after having surgery on his foot. According to NYPD Detective Joseph Kenny, Castro-Mata illegally crossed into Eagle Pass, Texas, in July 2023. Kenny added that Castro-Mata’s current address was at a hotel that had been turned into housing for migrants.

A trans-identifying male high school athlete complained about the lack of “sportsmanship” from his female competitors after he won an event in the girls’ championship. Veronica Garcia, 16, is a trans-identifying student who runs on the girls track team at East Valley High School near Spokane. On Saturday, Garcia was greeted with boos from the crowd when he finished first in the girls’ 400-meter run at the track and field championships in Tacoma, making him the first trans-identifying high school athlete to place first in state. When he accepted his gold medal at the podium, his female competitors did not applaud or cheer, but instead stood with their hands behind their backs. Someone in the crowd reportedly shouted, “She’s not a girl!” Garcia said he was “somewhat hurt” the girls did not congratulate him. “I guess maybe I expected sportsmanship because I was cheering the rest of them on when they were called. So I guess I expected to get that reciprocated,” Garcia told The Spokesman-Review. “But I didn’t get that.” “I’m just a teenager. I wish people would remember that,” he said. The Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA), which governs high school sports in the state, allows trans-identifying students to compete on the team of the opposite sex. “The WIAA encourages participation for all students regardless of their gender identity or expression,” the WIAA handbook reads. The WIAA also does not require high school athletes to take cross-sex hormones or puberty blockers to play on the team of the opposite sex. The boos at Saturday’s meet were “a bit more severe” than usual, Garcia told The Spokesman-Review. Garcia began identifying and presenting as female last year. Since then, he says he has received “discriminatory comments” about his gender identity. “I’m just a teenager. It’s one thing if you want to advocate for whatever, but your message becomes deflated when you start insulting,” he said. “As soon as you start harassing transgender people, then I think your message starts to fall apart.” “At the very least, give us respect, because I think the best thing anyone can do is, even if you don’t understand why we’re transgender, the very least is to be nice to us. Kindness goes a long way,” Garcia said. Garcia admitted there are “not easy answers” to trans-identifying people competing in sports.

Canadian Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre ruffled a few feathers when he failed to attend a Pride flag-raising ceremony in Ottawa to kick off the start of LGBTQ+ Pride Month. Poilievre offered a simple explanation for his absence, saying that he was doing far more for the people of Canada if he addressed the issues they cared about rather than showing up to watch someone hoist a rainbow flag. “I was working last night, until midnight, fighting against inflation and interest rate hikes, and that was my focus and will continue to be my focus,” Poilievre said when asked why he had not made it a point to attend the ceremony. President Joe Biden denied responsibility for the drastic, record-breaking increase in illegal immigration that has occurred under his administration in a recent interview. Biden denied responsibility for the border crisis in an interview with Time Magazine, where the incumbent Democrat president was questioned about the critical issue. “Another of your first acts as President under the banner of value-based leadership was to lift various punitive Trump-era immigration measures, Mr. President, that you and others said were inhumane,” a reporter with Time Magazine stated, prefacing a question. “In retrospect, do you think those humanitarian moves helped drive record illegal border crossing?” Biden simply responded “no” before being asked, “Were you wrong to lift any of those measures?” The Democrat president responded, “If I was wrong, it’s because I took too long,” doubling down on his record on immigration. Mass illegal immigration has surged to unprecedented levels under Biden, even driving the foreign-born population residing in the United States to a never-before-seen high of 51.6 million in March of this year. Officials have recorded over 9.5 million nationwide encounters and 1.7 million estimated illegal immigrant gotaways under the Democrat’s term. The President has taken a number of different actions that critics say are to blame for the drastic surge. Biden halted the construction of the border wall via executive order on his very first day in office. He later went on to end Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” policy that ordered some asylum seekers to stay in Mexico as they awaited their legal proceedings. The Biden administration has instead canceled over 350,000 asylum cases, allowing migrants to reside in the United States indefinitely despite not having their asylum cases approved. Biden also revoked Title 42, another Trump-era policy that allowed Border Patrol agents to expel illegal immigrants back to Mexico. One poll found that only 36 percent of voters approve of Biden’s performance on immigration while another showed that Independents appear to support former President Donald Trump’s proposed immigration policies, with over 60 percent of the political demographic saying that they support the deportation of illegal immigrants. Now voters have indicated that they trust Trump to handle immigration more than they trust Biden, and only 20 percent say that they believe that the United States currently has control over its own borders.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) slammed Democrats during an interview this week for being willing to destroy the U.S. justice system just so they can win elections and stay in power. Cruz made the remarks during his “Verdict” podcast with co-host Ben Ferguson while discussing last week’s guilty verdict that a Manhattan jury doled out in District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s criminal trial against former President Donald Trump. “If you contrast America to banana republics, the difference is you have the rule of law,” he said. “The difference is you don’t do this. And these democrats, they hate Trump so much they don’t care. They’re willing to destroy it all, right. Let’s get to Alvin Bragg. Alvin Bragg, mind you, he is suddenly tough on crime. Yeah, this is a guy who, if you murder people, if you rape people, you walk down the street and you punch a little old lady in the face, Alvin Bragg will let you go.” Cruz said that Bragg had a “political objective” that he wanted to achieve in court against Trump. “He’s trying to re-elect Joe Biden,” he said. “He’s trying to stay in power.” Cruz also took issue with Democrat Judge Juan Merchan and the various instructions that he gave the jury. “The U.S. Supreme Court has long made clear in order to convict someone of a crime, you must prove beyond a reasonable doubt every element of the crime and the jury must find unanimously that you are guilty, you have committed every element of the crime,” he said. “What the judge just said there is, ‘No, no number one, this unlawful means anything unlawful, like whatever, like what we’re not going to define it, but I’m gonna give you three, jurors choice, your pick.’ It’s like mix and match, choose your own adventure.” Cruz said that he believes the conviction will get overturned on appeal, which he believes Democrats already know, but alleged that their plan was to tarnish Trump with a conviction to damage him politically. “The purpose is what Alex Soros said, the purpose is what Joe Biden said. The purpose is all the Democrats, and all the media get to call him a felon over and over and over again, between now and Election Day, this is a five-month battle,” Cruz said. “It’s not a five-year battle, the purpose is not to put Donald Trump in jail. They know that’s not going to happen; they are trying to win. This is about keeping Joe Biden, the Democrats in power because it’s all they care about.
