Rudy Giuliani served Arizona indictment same day as his 80th birthday party

Ex-Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani was served notice late Friday of his Arizona indictment in the alleged scheme to overturn 2020 presidential election results in former President Trump's favor, per the state's attorney general. Why it matters: Giuliani, who was served the same day as his 80th birthday party in Palm Beach, Florida, is the last defendant indicted in the case. It made Arizona the fourth state to charge electors with falsely casting votes for Trump in...

Several Penn students face felony charges over attempted anti-Israel occupation

A half-dozen University of Pennsylvania students were among 19 pro-Palestinian protesters arrested during an attempt to occupy a school building, university police said Saturday. Their arrests came a week after authorities broke up an anti-Israel protest encampment on campus and arrested nine students — and as other colleges across the country, eager to prepare for commencement season, have either negotiated agreements with students or called in police to dismantle protest camps. EcoHealth’s COVID bat-testing lab upended by feds’ spending ban

When the federal government shut down taxpayer money going to EcoHealth Alliance, the company linked to the Wuhan virus lab, it may also doomed the firm’s plans to start a bat research lab in the U.S. EcoHealth had been working with Colorado State University on a lab in Fort Collins, north of Denver, winning millions of dollars in federal grant money to create a bat colony to study zoonotic diseases. EcoHealth had been tasked with procuring the bats that would be used in...

NRA endorses Trump for president at annual meeting

Randy Kozuch, the executive director of the National Rifle Association’s lobbying arm, offered the gun rights advocacy group’s presidential endorsement to presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump on Saturday. The move did not come as a surprise, as the NRA previously endorsed Trump in 2016 and 2020. Kozuch made the announcement as he introduced the former president to the crowd at the NRA Annual Meetings and Exhibits in Dallas. Trump thanked Kozuch before...

Wearing Face Masks Did Nothing To Reduce Risk of Infection with COVID Omicron Variant: New Study

Wearing a mask did nothing to reduce the spread of the Omicron variant, according to new research out of the UK Wearing face coverings did nothing to reduce the risk of infection by the Omicron variant of COVID, according to a new study from the University of East Anglia. The researchers used data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) COVID survey in England which estimated how many people had infections. From November 2021 to May 2022, the ONS also asked individuals about their circumstances and habits—including mask-wearing, work habits and travel—to see if those factors could be linked to risk of positivity. By analysing this data, the researchers found that wearing face coverings did not reduce the risk of infection by the Omicron variant at all. The researchers claim, however, that during the first wave of COVID-19, before the emergence of the Omicron variant, wearing a mask was associated with a decreased risk of infection.Save 40% on our limited edition Brain Force Ultra that’s loaded with proprietary super ingredients! Co-author Dr. Julii Brainard said, “This isn’t totally surprising because laboratory evidence suggests that the omicron variant was better able to infect the cells lining the upper respiratory tract than previous variants and so be more transmissible.” Long before the events of the past three years, sociologists were observing the irrational (i.e. magical) elements of disease control within the medical system. This short paper, on tuberculosis control, is from the American Sociological Review, from 1957. ? pic.twitter.com/EzzFrAtxhc— RAW EGG NATIONALIST (@Babygravy9) December 8, 2022 The value of wearing masks to prevent the spread of COVID-19 has been a source of some controversy, not least of all because of initial warnings during the pandemic from experts and government officials not to wear them. A number of scientific studies have claimed masking reduced transmission and infection during the pandemic, but others have claimed it did not. Experts and the mainstream media have been quick to dismiss negative studies as being wrong or subject to “misinterpretation.” It’s worth noting that the data used for the new study were survey data which assume the truthfulness and accuracy of the participants’ own recollections. There is no way to verify whether the survey respondents did wear masks in exactly the manner they reported. Israeli Plan To Force All Gazan Survivors Onto US Ships Exposed

“What am I supposed to do? Kiss your ass?”: did Bowie really completely drag one of his own fans on a messageboard?

Apparently 'Bowie' piped up when a fan moaned about an awkward encounter back in 1978
