Certain types of people need yet more Covid injections, according to the Canadian government. The Public Health Agency of Canada’s (PHAC) National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI) issued a statement on May 3 telling Canadians that they may get another Covid vaccination this autumn while also strongly recommending that certain types of people get the extra shot. Pregnant women, sick children, old people, indigenous native people, ‘racialized’ and ‘equity-deserving’ people are all strongly recommended to get the additional injection, as well as those in group living facilities and ‘essential’ workers. Anyone else may choose to accept the new booster into their bodies as well. While it’s not immediately clear from the government vaccination advisory what a ‘racialized’ or ‘equity-deserving’ person is, it is possible that those are new terms for darker-skinned individuals, also known as bipoc’s and latinx’s. One notable absence from this advisory is the 2SLGBTQI+ communities (a Canadian variant of the LGBTQIAA2SP+ peoples) which have been allocated $110 million recently, although whether they are included within the ‘equity-deserving’ classification remains unknown. And, I’m sitting there going, ‘don’t be so stupid.'” Again rudely cutting off Heilemann, Scarborough next said, “No, no, no, no! Hold on. What I hear after these polls come out is, ‘Oh, well everything that Joe Biden’s done since the State of the Union Address. All of this money that he’s put up, all of the campaigning it’s for not.’ No, it’s not!” It’s laughable to think the New York Times is a pro-Trump outlet, but the unhinged talking head had to vent his frustration that Trump is dominating Biden in the polls.
