It’s Joe Biden’s Birthday. Here Are Five Of The Worst Moments Of His One-Term Presidency.

President Joe Biden turns 82 today, and to celebrate, we’re looking back at some of the worst moments of his presidency. This administration has racked up a buffet of scandals ranging from massive failures like the Afghanistan withdrawal to a shocking, politicized hurricane response this fall. Over the past four years, critics have accused Biden of weakening national security, committing federal overreach, and leveraging the federal government to attack his political enemies. With Biden’s one and only term winding down, here are five of his presidency’s worst moments. Afghanistan Withdrawal The Biden administration completed its disastrous withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan in August, 2021, six months after Biden took office. The botched operation resulted in the deaths of 13 U.S. service members due to a suicide bombing at the Kabul airport, which descended into chaos as terrified civilians tried to escape before the Taliban took over the country. Dozens of American citizens were left stranded in the country, and harrowing video of Afghan civilians clinging to a U.S. Air Force plane taking off went viral on social media. The administration was fiercely criticized on both sides of the aisle for the deadly pullout and the damage it did to America’s standing on the world stage. Vaccine Mandate Backlash Just a month after the Afghanistan debacle, Biden announced a new vaccine mandate that applied to larger private companies and would affect as many as 100 million Americans. “We’ve been patient, but our patience is wearing thin, and your refusal has cost all of us,” Biden said at the time of Americans who refused to get the vaccine. This rule prompted severe backlash. Several companies, including The Daily Wire, sued over the mandate, and the Supreme Court ultimately blocked it four months later in January 2022. MATT WALSH’S ‘AM I RACIST?’ NOW STREAMING ON DAILYWIRE+ Hunter Biden And Classified Documents In January of last year, news broke that classified documents were discovered at Biden’s home in Wilmington, Delaware. Some of the documents were being stored in a garage along with Biden’s Corvette. “My Corvette is in a locked garage. It’s not like it’s sitting out in the street,” Biden said at the time. The discovery sparked accusations of hypocrisy from Republicans who pointed out that the FBI raided Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s home in Florida, over the same issue — classified documents stored there. Critics also wondered whether Hunter Biden, the president’s scandal-ridden son, had access to the classified documents. Hunter has been accused of influence-peddling in foreign countries using his father’s name. Debate With Trump Biden’s catastrophic presidential debate with Trump on June 27 effectively ended his half-century political career. During the debate, Biden frequently lost his train of thought, spoke nonsensical sentences, and stammered, seeming to confirm the narrative that he was in mental decline and too old for a second term. Following the debate, Democrats panicked and launched a pressure campaign led by Nancy Pelosi to force Biden out of the race, ultimately replacing him with Vice President Kamala Harris, who lost the election earlier this month. FEMA Hurricane Scandal The latest scandal to plague the Biden administration is The Daily Wire’s bombshell report showing that a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) supervisor told workers to “avoid homes advertising Trump” in Florida after Hurricane Milton. Whistleblowers said at least 20 homes with Trump flags or signs were skipped. The supervisor has since been fired. This week, lawmakers on the House Oversight Committee grilled FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell on the incident. The administration has made plenty of other moves that were widely criticized, including its response to both the Maui wildfires and the East Palestine train derailment. The infamous FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago in August 2022 drew accusations that Biden was using the Justice Department to try to crush his political rival. Biden has also suffered embarrassments in Congress. His signature legislation, the Build Back Better plan, collapsed when Senator Joe Manchin (I-WV), for years the most moderate Democrat in the Senate, withdrew his support and tanked the bill. Out-of-control spending and spiking inflation, as well as the southern border crisis were the two issues the Biden administration could not shake this presidential election cycle. Biden approved a $1.9 trillion pandemic stimulus bill, the American Rescue Plan Act, as well as the Inflation Reduction Act, which, despite its name, authorized hundreds of billions of dollars more in federal spending. Meanwhile, more than 12 million migrants have crossed into the U.S. illegally under the Biden administration.

‘The Apprentice’ Star: ‘We Have To Stop Pretending That Trump Is Not One Of Us’

“The Apprentice” star Sebastian Stan said “we have to stop pretending that Trump is not one of us” following President-elect Donald Trump’s victory. Speaking to reporters about his portrayal of Trump in the fictionalized biopic, Stan talked about the president-elect not only winning the Electoral College, but the popular vote as well against Vice President Kamala Harris, as liberals in Hollywood and media continue to label him as a “fascist” and more. “We have to stop pretending that Trump is not one of us,” Stan said, mentioning a recent New York Times Op-Ed. “I understand the emotions are very high, but I think that’s the only way you’re going to grasp this film. All it’s saying is you cannot keep casting this person aside, especially after they get the popular vote.” Sebastian Stan and Director Ali Abassi attended the #THEAPPRENTICE Screening and #SebastianStan said he was invited to Variety Actor on Actor interview but couldn’t find an actor want to do it with him , because their publicists were hesitated to let them talk about this movie so… pic.twitter.com/cWRvzx0bHF — MaggieMinLA (@MaggieMinLA) November 19, 2024 “Should we not give this a closer look and try to understand what it is about this person that’s even driving that,” he added. “I don’t know if the love is gonna translate into action, but it’s certainly there from what we’re hearing.” At one point, the “Marvel” star said he recently failed to find one star willing to do an interview about his part in the movie for a Variety show because he claimed they were “too afraid” to say anything publicly. MATT WALSH’S ‘AM I RACIST?’ NOW STREAMING ON DAILYWIRE+ “The amount of love that I’ve received from some of the biggest, both of us I think, in terms of actors, directors, producers, writers who’ve seen the movie and rave about it, they rave about it,” Stan said. “But then, I had an offer to do Variety Actor on Actor this Friday, and I couldn’t find another actor to do it with me because they were too afraid to go and talk about this movie, so I couldn’t do it,” he added. “And it doesn’t matter, that’s OK, that’s not to point a finger at anybody,” Stan continued. “That’s not pointing at anyone specific, we couldn’t get past the publicists or the people representing them because they were too afraid to talk about this movie.” Variety co-editor-in-chief Ramin Setoodeh confirmed the story. “We invited him to participate in Actors on Actors, the biggest franchise of awards season, but other actors didn’t want to pair with him because they didn’t want to talk about Donald Trump,” Setoodeh shared in a statement to Mediaite. Directed by Iranian-Danish filmmaker Ali Abbasi, “The Apprentice” told a fictionalized story of “how a young Donald Trump started his real estate business in 1970s and 80s New York with the helping hand of infamous lawyer Roy Cohn,” a description of the movie on IMDb reads. ‘War on Gender’: GOP Lawmakers Forge Game Plan to Protect Children From Transgender Ideology

Republican lawmakers laid out their game plan to purge transgender ideology from American society at a Wednesday panel discussion. Republicans will soon introduce the STOP Act, or the Safeguarding the Overall Protection of Minors Act to criminalize transgender medical interventions for children, said Sen. Roger Marshall, R-Kansas. “Everybody changes after you get your hormones,” Marshall said. “It’s biologically, it’s physiologically, very obvious to everybody. It is just sad that we’re doing these irreversible procedures and so many of these hormones.” Marshall also introduced the Defining Male and Female Act shortly before the panel to codify legal definitions of the sexes based on biology. “Ultimately, people that are saying that God is wrong, that the sex we were given, that God must have been wrong on this, and if you would just change your sex, it would solve all your problems,” he said. The Defining Male and Female Act combats the Biden-Harris administration’s Title IX rule change, which adds “gender identity” to the list of sex-based protections, allowing males to share female spaces and participate in girls and women’s sports. Rep. Mary Miller, R-Ill., introduced a companion bill in the House at the end of July to establish in federal law that there are only two sexes: male and female. She spoke on the panel alongside GOP Senate colleagues Marshall and Sen. Tommy Tuberville of Alabama, as well as American Principles Project President Terry Schilling, former collegiate athlete Paula Scanlan, and Heritage Foundation legal scholar Sarah Parshall Perry. Miller told The Daily Signal that defining biological sex is “a primary priority” because “it’s foundational to how we’re going to operate” and if America is going to “dwell in reality.” “We now have the trifecta,” she said in an interview after the panel. “We’ve got a majority in the House, the Senate, and we’ve got President Trump at the helm, and we are standing up for common sense. We’re standing up for reality.” The Defining Male and Female Act would acknowledge the legal right of women to have their own spaces and sports, separate from biological males. Scanlan, legislative liaison at the Independent Women’s Forum, told The Daily Signal that people are realizing men are men and women are women. A onetime collegiate swimming teammate of Lia—formerly known as William—Thomas at the University of Pennsylvania, Scanlan said she was forced to change clothes in front of a biological male around 18 times per week. “It would be great if, federally, they could pass something that says men should not play women’s sports, but on a deeper level, codifying the term ‘woman’ into law,” she said. She said women deserve their own restrooms and their own sports for “women’s safety.” Tuberville addressed what he calls “the war against gender.” “I’m an American, and if you’re an American, I’m 100% for you,” he said, “but being American does not give you an opportunity to push other people’s rights. You cannot infringe on people’s rights. You take your rights and you go with biological men. Playing women’s sports is not a right. It is a political statement by the Left.” When men are allowed in women’s private spaces, women are vulnerable, Miller said. “I have a lot of daughters and granddaughters, and I don’t feel like they’re safe if men can enter the women’s bathrooms,” Miller told The Daily Signal. “It just opens the door for any man, any pervert, any violent man that wants access to a vulnerable woman, and that’s what we are.” The post ‘War on Gender’: GOP Lawmakers Forge Game Plan to Protect Children From Transgender Ideology appeared first on The Daily Signal.

Are leftist women less attractive? Why shaving their heads may not be necessary

The liberal reaction to Donald Trump’s win has been entertaining to say the least — in part because they are literally filming themselves in the midst of what can only be recognized as absolutely insane mental breakdowns. “I know that you’ve seen these videos going around of these women who set their tripod and set up their phone, put it on their dashboard, whatever, just to cry and scream into the camera. I see that, and I’m like, 'Gosh, I’m so glad they did not get the political representation that they need,'” Allie Beth Stuckey of “Relatable” tells Megyn Kelly. “Now, they’re vowing not to have sex, not to have kids, not to get married, to forfeit all of those things. Do you think that they’re serious about their commitment to chastity?” she asks. Kelly does not believe these women are capable of sticking to it, but the men might be. “Sadly no, because I think it’s a great idea in their case. I don’t think they should reproduce. We don’t need further generations of that weakness and hot messiness, and I don’t think they’re really going to have much opportunity though,” Kelly explains. “I don’t get the impression from most of these videos that these ladies are beating them off with a stick,” she continues, before noting that some of them have even been filming themselves shaving their heads in protest of Trump’s win. ‘That’s why they feel comfortable shaving their hair,” she says. “It’s, like, no real difference.” Meanwhile, conservative women, Kelly has noticed, tend to present themselves in a more attractive light. “I don’t know what it is about conservatives, but by and large, it’s a very attractive group. They tend to be people who have their lives together, who care about grooming, who care about presentation,” she says. When Kelly has made her way onto college campuses, she can usually tell where their political allegiance lies upon first glance. “When somebody comes up to me on a college campus,” she explains, “I know they’re going to say ‘I’m a fan’ or ‘I don’t like you.’ If it’s an attractive woman, you can take it to the bank that it’s going to be a conservative.” “So these leftist women who somehow think it’s a middle finger to the man to lean into unattractiveness are really only hurting themselves, and really, you know, hooking up and getting pregnant is probably the last thing they need to worry about,” she adds. Why opposing immigration is not about 'whiteness'

Why opposing immigration is not about 'whiteness'

If the Ku Klux Klan’s continued existence in the United States is unsettling, its emergence in Ireland is almost surreal. Yet here we are in a time when reality is much stranger than fiction.Frank L. Silva, a former KKK member, has been actively collaborating with anti-establishment groups in Ireland, sparking media outrage and widespread head-scratching. Silva’s history shows how the Klan has evolved from its post-Civil War roots to modern offshoots. The dark irony here is impossible to overlook.Irish immigrants were depicted in political cartoons as brutish, animalistic figures, often described as 'negroes turned inside out.'You see, the Klan’s ties to Irish identity and the very concept of “whiteness” go way back. The fighting IrishThe 19th century saw waves of Irish immigrants fleeing the Great Famine only to find themselves vilified upon arrival in America. The Ku Klux Klan, with its roots deeply entwined with anti-Catholic sentiment, exploited this wave of Irish immigration to fuel fear and division. Irish Catholics were portrayed as a threat to Protestant values and, by extension, to the American people. If there’s one thing the Irish love — beside drinking, dancing, cursing, joking, and singing — it’s a good fight. Recognizing the threat, they met it head-on, fists raised. One striking example of Irish defiance was the Notre Dame student uprising of 1924. When a Klan rally was held near their campus, Irish Catholic students stood their ground, showing strength in the face of real danger."But weren’t the Irish 'white'?" some of today's crusading anti-racists may ask. "Wasn’t the Klan all about preserving and promoting “white supremacy”? This is where a little history lesson is in order. White privilege? In 19th-century America, Irish immigrants were not considered “white” in the same sense as Anglo-Saxon Protestants. They were perceived as racially inferior due to a mix of religious, cultural, and economic biases. Arriving destitute and in droves, Irish immigrants were seen as competition for low-wage jobs in rapidly urbanizing cities. Their willingness to work for less fueled native workers' resentment and economic anxiety — sound familiar?Religious tension deepened these divisions. In a country founded on Protestant ideals, Irish Catholics were viewed as agents of the Vatican, a foreign power. This suspicion, stoked by groups such as the Know-Nothing Party, painted Irish Catholics as potential saboteurs of American democracy — loyal not to the United States but to Rome. The notion that the Irish could undermine governance gained traction in certain circles, giving weight to the Klan’s anti-Irish campaigns. The animosity, while harsh, had roots in primal instincts — tribalism. A group of newcomers with strange accents and unfamiliar customs seemed wholly different. From an evolutionary standpoint, the suspicion made complete sense. Welcoming a complete stranger into your home with open arms is, at best, unwise. At worst, it can be disastrous. However, the backlash against the Irish was extreme and largely detached from reality. Cultural narratives and pseudoscientific theories added fuel to the fire. Irish immigrants were depicted in political cartoons as brutish, animalistic figures, often described as “negroes turned inside out.” This comparison underscored their perceived moral and intellectual inferiority, supporting the belief that they threatened societal stability. Books like "Comparative Physiognomy" perpetuated these stereotypes, further entrenching the racialization of the Irish and positioning them below the dominant white Protestant identity.Franklin’s foresightEarlier this year, the brilliant Steve Sailer revisited Benjamin Franklin’s essay “Observations Concerning the Increase of Mankind,” a polemic opposing the influx of German immigrants into Pennsylvania. Franklin worried that these newcomers would resist assimilation into English-speaking society, potentially reshaping the colony with their own customs and language rather than blending in and strengthening a unified culture. Less melting pot, more splintered silos. Franklin’s fear was entirely reasonable. Shared skin color was no assurance of shared values or a cohesive society. The threat, as he saw it, was not merely foreign influence but the fracturing of what he considered the cultural fabric of early America. This notion holds a striking parallel to modern debates. The idea that “white privilege” is a uniform experience ignores the varied and often tumultuous paths of European-descended populations. The Irish’s suffering during the Great Famine, the persecution of Eastern European Jews, or the challenges faced by Southern and Eastern European immigrants all challenge the monolithic narrative of privilege. The only thread connecting these people was their shared hope for a better life. That’s it. They faced prejudice, economic struggle, and cultural exclusion. “Whiteness” has never been, and will never be, a simple, unified identity. True racism lies in denying this reality.Franklin’s fears resonate in today’s world. The genuine celebration of diversity — a blend of backgrounds and traditions — has been warped by ideologies that prioritize superficial traits over shared cultural values. Not that long ago, before the hyper-progressive mind virus took hold, we sought to respect differences while finding stable common ground. Now, it’s about men in skirts, pronouns, and 700 different genders.Degeneracy has taken the place of diversity.EU-inspired erosionThe assumption that shared skin color equates to cultural uniformity is as flawed now as it was in Franklin’s era. This brings us to the larger consequence of global immigration and cultural dilution. Once unique, robust cultures such as those in Germany and Ireland are now grappling with the consequences of globalization’s unchecked march. Mass immigration, driven by open-border policies and economic interests, has accelerated cultural erosion at an alarming rate. The very essence of these nations’ identities is being submerged under the weight of Brussels-bred conformity. Franklin’s warning about cultural displacement, voiced over two centuries ago, feels prophetic today. The results of unfettered globalization can be seen in the loss of distinct identities and the rise of tensions that hark back to the very divisions that defined the Irish struggle in America. The question is, how much will be lost before nations recognize the cost? The re-election of Donald Trump offers the United States a glimmer of hope. But in Europe, hope is in short supply. In fact, one could argue it vanished years ago.

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi leave the US for good over Trump election

While many celebrities had vowed to leave the U.S. if President-elect Donald Trump were elected again, former talk show host Ellen DeGeneres and her wife, Portia de Rossi, appear to have actually followed through on the threat. According to sources that spoke to TMZ, the couple has absconded to a region in southwest England called the Cotswolds that is located about two hours from London. 'This isn't about politics. It's about human rights, and it's not okay.' TMZ said they had purchased the home before the election, but Trump's triumph made them "very disillusioned" with the U.S., and they decided immediately afterward to "get the hell out." DeGeneres donated to the Harris-Walz campaign and endorsed the Democratic ticket on social media to her millions of fans. "There’s nothing more powerful than a woman whose time has come!! I can’t wait for @KamalaHarris to be our next president," she wrote on Instagram. In August, DeGeneres sold her mansion on a 10-acre estate in Santa Barbara County for $96 million after purchasing it two years ago for $70 million. The Tuscan-style home includes 9,000 square feet, five bedrooms, eight bathrooms, and access to a private beach. DeGeneres had previously criticized the Trump administration in 2017 over his opposition to laws enforcing the transgender agenda. "This isn't about politics. It's about human rights, and it's not okay," she said at the time. She also faced furious condemnation from the left in 2019 when she defended chatting and joking with former President George W. Bush at a Dallas Cowboys game. Like Blaze News? Bypass the censors, sign up for our newsletters, and get stories like this direct to your inbox. Sign up here!
