This Video Is A Reminder For All The Moms Who Think They’re Not Doing Enough
One mom on social media remembers dealing with feelings of guilt when she didn’t have the financial resources to give her young daughter everything she deserved. At the time, Sarah Elizabeth thought it was unfair to her child that the two of them had to share a one-bedroom apartment. Nowadays, she’s been looking at the situation in a different light. Her message to mothers everywhere is truly inspiring!
In a beautiful post online, Sarah Elizabeth shared some footage from the small apartment where she raised her toddler. What their home lacked in space, it clearly made up for in creativity. Since there wasn’t a second bedroom for the little girl, her mother transformed a closet into the cutest nursery ever. Even though Mom worked very hard on this makeshift room, she still carried guilt about not having more to offer her daughter.

“I lived in a constant state of ‘she deserves more, she deserves better than this,'” Sarah recalled in her video.
Meanwhile, the two-year-old girl barely even noticed the cramped living conditions in their apartment. In fact, she seemed to love her room! It was beautifully decorated, and there were plenty of toys to keep her entertained. Eventually, Mom realized that her daughter probably never knew that anything was missing.
“She won’t remember how much money we had, but she will remember her mom did her best,” the woman said.

Parents always want the very best for their kids, and there’s nothing wrong with that. However, it’s important to remember that not being able to afford something doesn’t make you a bad caregiver. As long as you’re doing the best you can for your children with the resources you have, that’s what really counts.
“If you’re putting your kids’ safety and happiness first, you’re a good mom,” Sarah concluded in her caption.
