The small Pittsburgh suburb of Allison Park‚ Pennsylvania is once again experiencing unknown humanoid sightings. I have added a report from 2018 in which we investigated without resolution.The following account was recently reported:"I don’t know what it is. I’ve lived in the same house for the last 18 years and it’s only gotten worse. I live in an old coal mining town (Allison Park) in Pennsylvania. I know my house is haunted‚ but I believe that to be beside the point. Something is stalking my family.The first encounter I had was in the early 2010s. I heard my name being called repeatedly from far away and it sounded like my friend. Started walking towards home and turned because I felt I was being watched. I saw a dark‚ humanoid figure that was at least 7-8 feet tall. I ran home. Things were fairly quiet as far as I can remember up until the last few years. Recently‚ things have been amping up. It started as rustling in the woods and the feeling of being watched. Next came the deer. So many deer. There was one I recall seeing multiple times in the same spot for a few days on my way home that just didn’t look right. The most recent encounters have left me researching what to do. Two nights ago my mom saw a pale white face with glowing eyes pressed up against the front door. She said she froze in fear and didn’t know what to do. Tonight I got home after dark and walked toward my house. Seconds after I locked my car I heard a bloodcurdling scream come from the train tracks followed by a very calm voice yelling help me very loudly. I froze in fear for a solid 15 seconds just listening. I slowly walked up my porch steps just listening to two different voices screaming‚ one frantic and screeching while the other was calm and just called out to help me. I yelled in the front door for my mom because the frantic voice sounded vaguely like my youngest sister‚ but I thought maybe she was messing around. When she came outside it grew quiet and the frantic voice had stopped. We heard 'Help me' one or two more times faintly then nothing. My sister was at a friend’s house and it wasn’t her. We went to pick up dinner and there were deer everywhere.Now‚ this isn’t uncommon for PA to see a ton of deer‚ but like I said before these ones were weird. They stared right at you and didn’t run from the car‚ even if they were in the middle of the road. Someone‚ please tell me what is going on. What are these things?" PNOTE: I received another report from Allison Park‚ PA in 2018. Here is the account:I received the following account on Sunday‚ February 4‚ 2018‚ and subsequently contacted the witnesses by telephone:My daughter and her friends had a sleepover last night. Well apparently one of the girls said she felt like something was watching her? Then I guess the other girls started feeling this sensation too...so my daughter goes over to the door and looks out and sees a dark figure hunched over at the bottom of our steps. She said it rose up and took a step forward like to come up the stairs. She was obviously very frightened and her and her 4 friends took cover in our tiny little bathroom.I wake up around 11:30 pm and hear my dog barking and proceed to use the bathroom‚ which I cannot get in because they are all huddled in there...which nobody said a word to me at the time‚ fearing I would be upset with them waking me up. I was told the story in the morning. Apparently they heard knocks and scratching. This figure was tall‚ black and had yellow eyes...only other detail was it appeared to have claws. They claimed it was moving the blinds inside the house from outside the porch and the porch light was going on and off. I don't know if this is just an overactive imagination of a bunch of 5th graders‚ but they seemed genuinely frightened. I did notice our grill on the front porch was moved about 6 inches because I could see the indent of where the wheel had sat before. We live in Allison Park PA...about 9 miles from Pittsburgh. MCNOTE: I called MC and talked to the daughter and 2 of her friends. They were all absolute at what they witnessed. All the girls stated that they felt like 'something was observing them' and the group together saw the being outside. They described the being as 8 ft. or more and solid black...no transparency. The eyes were oval in shape and it gave off a bright yellow glow. The being had long arms with visible claws. I asked if it was human‚ and they all said it was not. They observed it at two locations on the property...below the front steps and on the patio. They witnessed the being open at the top of the grill on the patio. They all stated that the blinds inside the window were moving on their own and that the patio light was flashing on and off. The light switch was inside. One of the girls called a parent and left early. She stated that she and her parents witnessed this being walking across the lawn as they were leaving in their car. The girls submitted a sketch (below) of what they witnessed.I don't believe that this was a case of mass hysteria or collective imagination. The girls were genuinely concerned about what they witnessed. MC noted that her daughter has seen apparitions in the house previously...in particular‚ her deceased grandfather. There has been other spiritual activity on the property as well. I'm going to keep in touch with the witnesses and have asked them to keep me updated. An Oregon witness was bird-watching near Crater Lake‚ Oregon when he noticed something darting behind trees. It was described as a monkey or furry little human. What was it?"I live in the Klamath Mountains in Eastern Oregon‚ about twenty miles from the California border. Growing up I spent a lot of time outside camping‚ hunting‚ fishing‚ etc. A few months ago I had a strange experience on a family trip to our cabin near Crater Lake.I was by myself bird-watching at a small pond in the woods maybe half a mile from the cabin in the late afternoon. I was sitting on a big log with binoculars. I wasn't in a blind or anything but I picked a spot where I thought I'd be less visible to any animals. After about an hour I hadn't seen much except a few common ducks and it didn't seem like many animals were very active so I was thinking about leaving. This was about an hour before sunset. Then I saw something move in the trees across the pond‚ probably a hundred feet away. It was just a flash between trees and I didn't really get any kind of look at it.I kept watching the spot and after maybe five minutes saw something dart from one tree to another. It was bigger than most any local bird except maybe a heron and moved very fast‚ without making any noise‚ but I still didn't really know what I was looking at. This happened again a few minutes later‚ and then again a few minutes after that. Each time it was moving closer and closer to the pond. I don't think it knew I was there but it was staying incredibly well hidden and only revealed itself for a split second at a time. At this point‚ I thought maybe it was a kit fox or a pine marten because of how fast and silently it moved. But I still hadn't got a good look at any part of it in detail.It moved between trees a few more times until it was behind a big dead tree right on the shore. I was staying as still and silent as possible but still worried it would see or more likely smell me and spook. But after a few more minutes I saw something move at the edge of the water. A little arm and hand that looked just like humans reached out and touched the mud‚ and then the head and the other arm came into view as it leaned out to drink from the water.I could only see the head and shoulders and arms from where I was‚ but they looked so much like a person's. Except it was too small‚ and covered in what I took as grayish-brown fur. The face wasn't exactly human‚ more monkey-like‚ but it was too far away to see much detail. I decided to try lifting my binoculars to get a closer look‚ but as soon as I moved it looked up and then disappeared back behind the tree again. I watched until it started to get dark‚ but I didn't see it again‚ not even darting behind the trees.I went back to the cabin and told my grandpa what I saw. He's been a rancher in this area his whole life. He said‚ “Sounds like you ran into a 'Hide Behind'” and laughed. I said no grandpa seriously‚ this isn't a joke. He said he'd heard stories about Bigfoot and 'Hide Behinds' and several times saw little human footprints on hunting trips deep in the mountains where “no children would be.” I think he believed me but he didn't really know anything. I asked my dad and brothers but they just started giving me crap about Squatching.I went back to the pond the next day and walked around to where the creature had been‚ but I didn't find any tracks or scat or fur or anything. I did figure it had to be probably about three and a half or four feet tall based on the trees I'd seen it near‚ but narrow enough to hide completely behind a ponderosa pine. Which makes me think it must have been standing and moving upright.I wish I'd seen more of it but that face and hands were absolutely not like any local animal. It looked very much like a monkey or furry little human. I've tried to find more info but the only cryptid people seriously talk about in this area is Bigfoot. The 'Hide Behind' seems like a joke. There may be little people or humanoids in some of the local native American folklore but I not a lot of detail I could find.I hope someone here has some ideas about what I might have seen. It was a very unique and memorable experience and any further information would be appreciated very much." An Ohio woman and her mother are spending a weekend at a secluded cabin near Hueston Woods State Park. During their stay‚ they witnessed a yellow-eyed 'Glimmer Man' in the trees."I and my Mom traveled to Oxford‚ Ohio for a long weekend stay in a secluded cabin near Hueston Woods State Park that forever changed our perception of reality. The owner had remodeled the cabin several months before. The cabin was built into the side of a hill with a garage constructed underneath. The cabin was equipped with a screened deck that from the outside looked as though it was off a second floor but actually‚ it was off the main floor of the residence. The deck held a table and chairs as well as a generously sized hot tub. The way the deck is lifted we had a beautiful view.I turned the jacuzzi on to get warmed up and ready for us to enjoy. I was in the hot tub while my mother was sitting at the table. My Mom held her finger up and said‚ "Do you hear that?" I didn't hear anything over the bubbling water. Mom used her phone light to look around and didn't see anything in the dark of the night. A few minutes later I got out and dried off sitting at the table with my mom to drink some hot cocoa. Mom seemed a little anxious and was looking around nervously. I asked her what was wrong. She shook her head saying the forest sounds just kind of stopped. "Oh my gosh‚ you're right‚" I replied as I realized I no longer heard the crickets and frogs chirping. After an hour or so we decided to go to bed.The next day we decided to explore the area around the cabin and noticed the ground was damp from an overnight shower. We walked about 100 feet or so away from the cabin and Mom noticed two strange footprints having three toes. She pointed it out to me. They were a couple feet away from each other. We spent another hour looking around and then headed back for lunch.That night as we enjoyed the hot tub we heard a loud screeching scream come from somewhere outside the cabin. I jumped up and turned out the light on the deck so we couldn't be seen and we would have a better view outside. Mom shut off the hot tub so we could hear better as well. Soon we heard branches breaking and other movements‚ but the strangest part was that the sounds were coming from the forest canopy‚ not from the ground. It sounded as if something heavy was climbing a tree not far from the cabin. We both stood back against the wall close to the door that goes inside. We could hear something really big but couldn't see anything.As we were getting ready to go inside we saw a set of yellow glowing eyes looking at us from a branch level with a deck‚ about 30 feet away. We ran inside and slammed the door praying we were safe. Not sure if we should call someone we decided to sit inside after making sure the doors were all locked. We stayed up for another hour and didn't hear anything else so we went to bed.The next morning after breakfast we went outside to look around the cabin where we thought the noises were coming from. Other than a few large branches lying on the trail we didn't see anything out of the ordinary. We decided to go on with our day and drove over to the lake after some more sightseeing and dinner. We went back to the cabin and went out to the deck and played cards over coffee. It was dusk so we could still see a fair distance.As we were talking Mom noticed everything had gone quiet again. She asked me if I noticed the nature sounds had stopped. I listened and realized Mom was right. Soon the sound of branches breaking started again and this time was moving closer to the cabin. Turning out the light and watching the trees as the noises got closer we were shocked at what we saw. The branches were moving as if something large was on them but it didn't look like anything was there. But then we got a glimpse of what we had been hearing. In the trees was what looked like a large human shape but it was nearly invisible. It looked like a moving heat wave shaped like a tall person. We watched in disbelief as the large entity moved through the trees. We didn't want to move so it wouldn't see us‚ not knowing its intentions. After a few minutes‚ it had moved away from our location. We waited a couple minutes after not hearing anything and stepped inside.We discussed leaving that night instead of in the morning but it was getting late and once we packed everything up it would be dark so we decided to stay till morning. We gathered all of our belongings so everything would be ready come morning and went to bed.I awoke to use the bathroom around 4 AM. As I was on my way back to bed I heard what sounded like loud footsteps. Still being kind of groggy I was trying to decipher where the sounds were coming from when I realized they were coming from the roof. I ran in and woke Mom up whispering what I had heard. We sat on the couch quietly praying and talking until morning light when I peeked outside after not anything for some time. I saw nothing around so we quickly grabbed our belongings and put them into the car.As we were getting into the car I saw a dirty three-toed print on the hood of the car. As I drove away I looked toward the back of the cabin and saw the creature's yellow eyes staring back. I drove away as quickly as safely possible.I did some research once settled back in at home trying to find some answers to what we had witnessed and found several reports from around the US in state parks and other wooded areas of a similar being that had been dubbed the 'Glimmer Man‚' the title referring to the odd nearly invisible quality of the creature. This was definitely a trip I would never forget." Three friends are traveling throughout the southeast US. They decide to stay at one of their friend's acquaintances' place in the Smoky Mountains. That's when things start getting weird."I’ve lived in Appalachia for all but four years of my life and I’m almost twenty-two‚ and I have never experienced any of the creepy things people say about the Appalachian mountains‚ until the story I’m about to tell you.So toward the end of last year (2023)‚ two of my friends and I had sort of simultaneous crises‚ which eventually led us to get rid of almost all of our belongings‚ quitting our jobs‚ leaving our apartments‚ and living out of our cars and traveling around the southeast US.Well‚ on our first night on our big trip‚ we went to stay with a friend of one of my travel-mates. She lived in Tennessee in the Appalachian mountains. The Smoky Mountains‚ specifically. She lived off a backroad in the middle of the woods.The first night we were there‚ she had told us that there were strange occurrences on the property. The house was haunted‚ and there was something in the woods. She had told us that whatever is in the woods likes to hang out around her shed. She said that one night‚ she was walking up onto her porch when she got the overwhelming feeling of being watched. Becoming fed up with whatever it was‚ she screamed something along the lines of “Go away” into the woods‚ only for something to scream right back at her. She claimed to have seen it one night from her kitchen window. She said it was peeking around the shed‚ staring at her. It wasn’t an animal‚ but it wasn’t human either. Out of curiosity‚ I asked her to describe whatever creature she saw in more detail‚ but she refused. I‚ being the skeptic that I am‚ basically disregarded everything she said and forgot about it.Now‚ because it was our first night on the trip‚ and it was so fun and new to us‚ we wanted to sleep in our cars‚ which were parked right in front of the shed I mentioned earlier. Yes‚ that shed. We hadn’t yet made window covers‚ so we were sleeping in three SUVs with uncovered windows completely surrounding us. But‚ I had no issue with this. I thought the worst that could happen would be that I’d wake up with a bear staring at me. So‚ I went to bed peacefully and woke up in the middle of the night‚ really needing to urinate. I got half-dressed‚ put on my shoes‚ left my car‚ walked to the edge of the woods‚ did my business‚ got back in my car‚ and went to sleep. No uneasy feeling‚ no feeling of being watched‚ nothing.The next night‚ I once again woke up‚ really needing to relieve myself. So‚ just like I did the night before‚ I sat up in bed‚ put on my pants‚ got my shoes ready‚ and reached for the door handle. But I couldn’t do it. It was like every hair on my body stood on end‚ and I got this overwhelming feeling of dread and foreboding. Now‚ I had a makeshift bed in the back of my SUV‚ on top of all the back seats that I flipped down. So I’m sitting there in my bed‚ looking around through all of my uncovered windows. I can’t see anything outside‚ except for some faint outlines of trees‚ and the glints off of my travel-mates’ cars. I neither saw nor heard anything that should be putting me on edge. I reached for the door handle again‚ but I once again got that terrible feeling. I continued to look around‚ tried to reach for the door‚ and withdrew my hand. I finally gave up and said screw it and just went into an empty water bottle.The next morning‚ I got up and was talking to my travel-mates‚ and one of them mentioned waking up in the middle of the night out of nowhere and experiencing an overwhelming feeling of being watched. She sat up in her makeshift bed‚ and looked all around‚ only to see nothing. I can’t lie‚ when she said that‚ I got a bit of a knot in my stomach. I asked her what time it was when that happened‚ and she estimated that it was around the same time I woke up‚ around 3 AM. I then told both of them about my experience‚ and we were all a little freaked out about it.When we were headed out to our cars the following night‚ we noticed that all of the homeowner’s many outdoor cats were sitting on her front porch‚ which we hadn’t seen the last two nights. Previously‚ they would all be scattered around the property‚ if they were even in sight. We thought it was weird‚ but we didn’t think much of it. We all climbed into our cars and said our goodnights on our walkie-talkies. It was a pretty warm and muggy night for October‚ so we all had our battery-powered fans running. One of my friends frustratedly reported that her walkie was dying. Then‚ my other friend reported that their fan had died. Then my walkie started dying. And it continued until‚ in five minutes‚ all of our electronic camping gear (walkies‚ flashlights‚ and fans) had all died. Finding this incredibly creepy‚ we all decided that we should just sleep in the house to be better safe than sorry.We were gathering up our things to move inside when I began to hear what sounded like something large walking through the leaves in the woods. I kept stopping what I was doing and looking toward my friends‚ who were standing right by the woods. They seemed unbothered every time‚ so I would just continue what I was doing. That was when I heard a louder noise coming from the woods and finally decided to walk over to my friends. Turns out‚ one of them was standing watch while the other one gathered the rest of her things. Me and my friend stood there watching my other friend’s back‚ and it kept sounding like whatever was in the woods kept getting closer to us. Soon enough‚ my friend had gathered all her things and we calmly‚ but quickly went into the house.From what I can remember‚ we slept in the house the following night as well‚ but the night after that‚ one of my friends borrowed some sage from the homeowner and saged all along the wood line and around our vehicles before we got ready for bed. We slept perfectly fine for that night and every night after. No more weird feelings‚ noises‚ nothing. Of course‚ we were pretty much perpetually on edge from then on‚ but it was never quite the same feeling of dread and foreboding that I had felt before.To be honest‚ I don’t know what to make of all of it. I know I didn’t see anything. But the feeling I got was unlike anything I had ever experienced. That was the first and only time in my life where I have gotten that feeling‚ especially just out of nowhere.I’ve told the story a few times now‚ and I’ve had people tell me that it was just a bear. But I don’t think a bear would give me that sort of instinctual feeling of danger when I can’t even hear or see it. And I’m fully aware that I may be biased now‚ but I’ve lent a bit more credibility to the homeowner’s stories after my experience.For those of you that are curious‚ no‚ we are not still on the trip. Unfortunately‚ the whole thing went downhill after a couple of months‚ and we are now integrating back into society. We are‚ however‚ all still friends. And‚ no‚ we did not experience anything like this again‚ despite staying at several campgrounds in the middle of the woods in other parts of the southeast." In considering the articles of impeachment against Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas‚ it’s appropriate for each House member to ask: Is his central role in precipitating our unprecedented immigration disaster and destroying the security and well-being of the American people tolerable and consistent with the rule of law? It’s not. The grounds for impeaching Mayorkas are overwhelming. What’s at issue in this impeachment is not just a policy dispute over how best to enforce the nation’s immigration laws. Mayorkas is actively nullifying and undermining those laws. It’s no excuse for Mayorkas to say he’s just following President Joe Biden’s orders. And it can’t be the case that the House’s only proper option in the face of the current lawlessness is to impeach the president. Biden and his White House advisers never could carry out this administration’s disastrous open-border agenda on their own. Biden can do it only through the active agency of a homeland security secretary who’s willing to abuse the powers of his department and violate the laws he’s sworn to uphold. As a Senate-confirmed officer of the government‚ Mayorkas has a duty to follow the law faithfully; he should refuse to carry out directives that are inconsistent with the law‚ or else resign from office. We are a nation of laws‚ and our republican government cannot function if the civil officers of the government are not held to account when they act in contravention of the law‚ even when they do so at the behest of the president. Some may think that Biden will just continue with his current agenda notwithstanding impeachment‚ and simply put another willing lackey in place if Mayorkas were to be removed from office. But the president’s ability to do so would be much more constrained and subject to greater and more intense scrutiny by Congress and the public if the articles of impeachment are approved. Border security never has been perfect and previous secretaries of the Department of Homeland Security have exercised some degree of enforcement discretion‚ including regarding parole and mandatory detention. But Mayorkas clearly has crossed the line of permissible discretion into flagrant nullification and violation of the law. It is the proper constitutional role of the House of Representatives to declare that Mayorkas has gone far beyond what is tolerable and consistent with the duties and privileges of his office. As Justice Samuel Alito made clear in dissenting from a recent Supreme Court decision holding that Texas lacked standing to challenge Mayorkas’ refusal to enforce the immigration laws‚ the House’s prerogative of impeachment is one of the only tools available to challenge this lawlessness‚ short of repudiation by the people in the next presidential election. Some have raised the specter that if Mayorkas is impeached‚ it may become more common for the House to attempt to impeach Cabinet secretaries. But that’s a red herring. Mayorkas’ gross misconduct and violations of the law are so extraordinarily extreme and intolerable that an impeachment in this case should not create a precedent that would become the norm going forward. If anything‚ it should have the effect of discouraging such extraordinary misconduct by future Cabinet members. In any event‚ of course‚ nothing the current House does or doesn’t do will dictate how a future House may attempt to use its power of impeachment in other cases. If Mayorkas is allowed to get away with the abuses and course of misconduct he has been guilty of‚ then it could be said that the House’s power to impeach civil officers itself would become a nullity. It’s been a rough week for “the Squad.” The Squad is an informal group of eight Democratic House members who represent the far left of the party. They typically receive glowing media coverage as they promote various progressive causes‚ but things haven’t gone so well for them in recent days. Not only has this gaggle of far-left legislators revealed the extent of their extremist views‚ but one even finds herself in potentially serious legal trouble. Here’s a quick rundown of the Squad’s troubles‚ as posted by A.G. Hamilton‚ a prominent conservative‚ on X‚ formerly Twitter. What a few weeks for The Squad:Cori Bush under federal investigation.Jamaal Bowman exposed as a 9/11 truther and has J-Street withdraw endorsement. Ilhan Omar leaked Somali first speech. AOC defends UNRWA after they are exposed for terrorist ties.— AG (@AGHamilton29) January 30‚ 2024 Given how much the Squad has generally been feted by left-wing and corporate media‚ I thought it was worth digging a little further into each one of their cases. Jamaal Bowman Rep. Jamaal Bowman‚ D-N.Y.‚ the socialist former high school principal who claims not to know what a fire alarm is‚ got himself in hot water for being too radical‚ even for his left-wing allies. On Monday‚ the Daily Beast reported on a blog he posted when he was a high school principal in New York. The blog was filled with 9/11 conspiracy theories and included this poem:  “Planes used as missiles / Target: The Twin Towers “30 minutes later / Both buildings collapsed / Onto themselves “Later in the day / Building 7 / Also Collaspsed [sic] / Hmm … “Multiple explosions / Heard before / And during the collapse / Hmm … “Allegedly / Two other planes / The Pentagon / Pennsylvania / Hijacked by terrorist [sic] / Minimal damage done / Minimal debris found / Hmm …” The prose isn’t exactly Wordsworth‚ but it is revealing. Bowman responded to the report saying that while he was working on his doctoral degree he “explored” books and literature across the political spectrum. He then tried to justify his ramblings by saying that he’s spent his career standing up to what he called the “far right.” That’s a common tactic for those on the left who get themselves stuck in a controversy: Just say that you will double your efforts to attack conservatives with the assumption that all will be forgiven. That tactic works sometimes‚ but it looks like Bowman has become enough of an embarrassment for his allies to cut him loose. Following the 9/11 poetry reveal‚ Bowman lost an endorsement from J Street‚ a left-wing Jewish organization‚ for being too anti-Israel and for accusing the country of genocide. “When the rhetoric‚ the framing and the approach go too far‚ that’s where we are going to hold our line‚” J Street President Jeremy Ben-Ami said in an interview with the Forward. “And that’s when we felt that Bowman crossed the line here.” Tom von Essen‚ a former commissioner of the New York City Fire Department who held the position at the time of 9/11‚ ripped Bowman in an interview with The New York Post. “Bowman is definitely unfit to be in Congress. He’s definitely someone we don’t need‚” Von Essen said. Cori Bush Rep. Cori Bush‚ D-Mo.‚ is in a bit of trouble with federal authorities. She’s currently under investigation by the Justice Department for using taxpayer money on private security‚ paying it to a man who is now her husband. “Bush’s husband and former security guard‚ Cortney Merritts‚ who she married in February 2023‚ has pocketed more than $100‚000 in payments since Bush added him to her campaign’s payroll in January 2022 for what they marked as ‘security’ payments before switching their description to ‘wage expenses’ in April‚” Fox News reported. This is one part of a larger federal investigation triggered by a watchdog organization’s complaint filed with the Federal Election Commission. Bush has confirmed that she is under investigation‚ but she remains indignant about it. “Since before I was sworn into office‚ I have endured relentless threats to my physical safety and life‚” Bush said in remarks on Tuesday‚ according to NPR. “As a rank-and-file member of Congress‚ I am not entitled to personal protection by the House‚ and instead have used campaign funds as permissible to retain security services.” While Bush is allegedly using federal funds to pay for unlicensed private security—that now happens to be her husband—she’s done her best to demand that average Americans have no security of their own. Bush has been a longtime champion of the “defund the police” movement. What are the plebs supposed to do when crime spikes in their neighborhood as a result? “Suck it up‚” apparently. “I have private security because my body is worth being on this planet right now. I have private security because they‚ the white supremacist‚ racist narrative that they drive into this country‚” Bush said‚ when asked in 2021 about her use of private security. “So‚ if I end up spending $200‚000‚ if I spend 10‚ 10‚ 10 more dollars on it‚ you know what‚ I get to be here to do the work. So‚ suck it up‚ and defunding the police has to happen.” As of 2022‚ filings showed that Bush had spent more than $500‚000 on private security. Alexandia Ocasio-Cortez Perhaps the most (in)famous member of the Squad‚ Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez‚ D-N.Y.‚  lashed out at the Biden administration for pulling funding for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East‚ or UNRWA. “Cutting off support to @UNRWA—the primary source of humanitarian aid to 2 million+ Gazans—is unacceptable‚” the New York congresswoman posted on X. “Among an organization of 13‚000 U.N. aid workers‚ risking the starvation of millions over grave allegations of 12 is indefensible. It also found that about 10% of the 12‚000-person staff were linked to terrorist organizations in Gaza. The signs of this organization’s links to the Hamas terrorist group have been there for years‚ The Wall Street Journal later reported. That hasn’t deterred Ocasio-Cortez. (@MarinaMedvin) January 28‚ 2024 “We‚ as Somalians‚ we love each other‚” Omar said in a translation of the speech posted on X by conservative Alexandria‚ Virginia‚ lawyer Marina Medvin. “There are areas of friction … that led us to kill each other‚ but in reality‚ we are an organized society: brothers and sisters‚ people of the same blood‚ people who know they are Somalians first‚ Muslims second.” Omar later insisted that the translation of the speech wasn’t accurate‚ but it still seems like from what she said—in either version—that she feels that her primary responsibility is to Somalis‚ not the United States. Funny enough‚ Omar has criticized American Jewish supporters of Israel for having dual loyalty. “I want to talk about the political influence in this country that says it is OK to push for allegiance to a foreign country‚” she said in a 2019 panel discussion about Israel. Following the speech‚ many commentators called for the Somalia-born Omar to not only be expelled from Congress‚ but deported. One such call came from Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. Ayanna Pressley‚ D-Mass.‚ called the closure this week of a Walgreens drugstore in the Roxbury area of Boston a case of the company engaging in a “life-threatening act of racial and economic discrimination.” She said this in a speech she made on Tuesday. Pressley essentially called Walgreens racist for closing their locations due to crime and lack of profitability. “When a Walgreens leaves a neighborhood‚ they disrupt the entire community‚ and they take with them baby formula‚ diapers‚ asthma inhalers‚ life-saving medications‚ and‚ of course‚ jobs‚” she said. The pharmacy responded to the allegations in a comment to The New York Post. “Roxbury’s closure was due to several factors‚ including the cost of operating‚ low prescription volume and low reimbursement rates‚” a Walgreens spokesperson told The Post. While there are possibly other factors in play‚ Walgreens and other retailers have been hit hard in areas where retail theft is soaring. This has caused chaos for brick-and-mortar retail chains that have struggled to recover from COVID-19 lockdowns. Pressley‚ like most other members of the Squad‚ has called for defunding the police.  She apparently wants to live in a world without police‚ where businesses are essentially controlled by the government and routinely looted by gangsters‚ and where only the rich and well connected can afford security.
