Alec Baldwin was indicted Friday by a grand jury on a charge of involuntary manslaughter in connection with the 2021 shooting on the set of the film “Rust” that left cinematographer Halyna Hutchins dead and injured director Joel Souza. Two special prosecutors‚ Kari Morrissey and Jason Lewis‚ presented their case this week to a grand jury after receiving further analysis about the gun used‚ Variety reported. The report found that the shooting occurred by a “pull or rearward depression of the trigger‚” something Baldwin previously had been adamant he hadn’t done. “This fatal incident was the consequence of the hammer being manually retracted to its fully rearward and cocked position followed‚ at some point‚ by the pull or rearward depression of the trigger‚” the report concluded. “Although Alec Baldwin repeatedly denies pulling the trigger‚ given the tests‚ findings and observations reported here‚ the trigger had to be pulled or depressed sufficiently to release the fully cocked or retracted hammer of the evidence revolver.” A grand jury has indicted Alec Baldwin on an involuntary manslaughter charge for the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. We will answer any charges in court.” In January 2023‚ the Santa Fe County District Attorney’s Office charged Baldwin with two counts of involuntary manslaughter. The charges were dismissed without prejudice in April after the actor’s legal team claimed the gun had been modified in some way which caused it to malfunction‚ the Associated Press noted.  Prosecutors made clear at the time‚ “This decision does not absolve Mr. Baldwin of criminal culpability and charges may be refiled.” “The gun and broken sear have been sent to the state’s independent expert for further testing‚” the office said at the time. “The charges against Alec Baldwin were dismissed without prejudice because a possible malfunction of the gun significantly affects causation with regard to Baldwin‚ not with regard to Gutierrez. If it is determined that the gun did not malfunction‚ charges against Mr. Baldwin will proceed.” The state of New Mexico brought in gun analysts Lucien Haag and Mike Haag in its case against “Rust” armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed to determine if the gun had been modified. That report determined the “trigger had to pulled or depressed.” In October 2021‚ the “30 Rock” star was involved in the shooting of Hutchins on the New Mexico film set. The firearm Baldwin was holding discharged a bullet. Baldwin has repeatedly maintained that there was “no trigger pull.” Gutierrez-Reed was charged with involuntary manslaughter and pleaded not guilty‚ the AP noted. Her trial is set for February 21‚ 2024‚ Variety noted. If convicted the “Saturday Night Live” star could spend up to 18 months in prison‚ Variety noted.

The infamous Scott Peterson murder case from 2002 is being taken on by the Los Angeles Innocence Project as the 51-year-old convicted felon continues serving out his sentence in a California prison. Peterson was found guilty and sentenced to death for the murder of his 27-year-old wife‚ Laci Peterson‚ and their unborn son Conner in 2004.  Now the L.A. Innocence Project will explore what they’re describing as new evidence which could help prove Peterson is innocent. “The Los Angeles Innocence Project (LAIP) represents Scott Peterson and is investigating his claim of actual innocence‚” a spokesperson for the organization said in a statement‚ per ABC News. Filings obtained by the outlet claim that “new evidence now supports Mr. Peterson’s longstanding claim of innocence and raises many questions into who abducted and killed Laci and Conner Peterson.” Specifically‚ they’ll be looking into witness statements regarding the break-ins across the street which Laci may have witnessed‚ plus will analyze DNA from a blood-stained mattress found in a van near the couple’s home. Laci was eight months pregnant when she went missing on Christmas Eve 2002‚ prompting a nationwide manhunt which ended when her body was discovered in the San Francisco Bay four months later. The couple’s son’s body was found less than a mile away. At first Peterson helped search parties‚ but soon became a prime suspect in the criminal investigation after it was discovered that he was having an extramarital affair. Scott was eventually convicted of two counts of first-degree murder in 2004 and sentenced to death row in 2005‚ where he remained for about 15 years. Peterson’s death sentence was vacated in 2021 and changed to life in prison. Scott’s family has believed in his innocence for years. “There is no forensic evidence‚ there is no timeline to this crime‚” his sister-in-law Janey Peterson said in 2021‚ per People. “Scott Peterson is innocent‚ and we are now trying to reverse that.”  Scott’s defense attorney Pat Harris told the outlet‚ “We are very excited to have the incredible attorneys at the L.A. Innocence Project lend their considerable expertise to helping prove Scott Peter’s Innocence.”

Then she continued on in her performance by coughing all over the panelists’ faces. These are the same people who led the charge of enforcing face masks‚ of telling us never to cough‚ and of implying it best just not to breathe. But there she stood‚ on stage‚ coughing directly on the panelists with a mixture of her presumably bacteria-ridden breath. She styles herself as an indigenous shaman‚ which is just the PC term for witch. But this is nothing new. For all of human history‚ prideful elites have been inclined toward the ridiculous occult worship of false gods. The indigenous tribes all did it‚ the Canaanites did it‚ and even the Israelites did it when Moses left them to their own devices for five minutes in the desert. The counterparts to shamans and witches are priests and prophets. Both groups dress in funny clothing and perform rituals‚ but the difference is that while shamans cavort with demons‚ prophets proclaim the truth and‚ therefore‚ appear to predict the future. But‚ as a wise priest once observed‚ they only predict the future in the derivative sense of warning of the consequences of denying the truth. We know the liberal elites of WEF have spread plenty of lies. Now they’re dancing around with actual witches. It doesn’t take an Old Testament prophet to know that the consequences are unlikely to be good. They all conspire in this really ritzy mountain town to control the entire world and to subvert self-government‚ which is why it was so refreshing when the newly elected leader of Argentina‚ Javier Milei‚ showed up. His appearance worried a lot of people. They said‚ “Oh‚ he’s a populist libertarian‚ and now he is going to become a WEF guy.” But Milei didn’t stick to the usual Davos script. Screenshot: World Economic Forum Instead‚ Milei warned them that the Western world is in danger‚ saying‚ “It is in danger because those who are supposed to have to defend the values of the West are co-opted by a vision of the world that inexorably leads to socialism and thereby to poverty.” He continued‚ saying that the main leaders in the West have abandoned freedom for collectivism. Then‚ he explained “that collectivist experiments are never the solution to the problems that afflict the citizens of the world. Rather‚ they are the root cause.” Now‚ I do not agree with Milei on everything. He is a libertarian‚ so he was speaking about material goods‚ how to alleviate poverty‚ how to enrich people‚ and freedom in a liberal‚ lowercase “l” sense‚ which he contrasts with collectivism. As I have said many times‚ I think radical individualism and radical collectivism are two sides of the same coin and both opposed to the common good‚ tradition‚ and conservatism. So I can’t give three cheers to Javier Milei‚ but I can give two because these people need to hear this. The World Economic Forum people want to peddle socialism‚ they look to China as the model‚ some of them are outright communists‚ and now‚ they’re dancing around with witches. They are opposed to freedom‚ both the defective libertarian view of freedom and the true classical view of freedom. They’re opposed to both. So‚ it is amazing to see a world leader attend and give them a piece of his mind and at least point out all that they are getting wrong‚ even if Milei doesn’t have the exact right answer to combat it.
