Vision Pro is sold out for home delivery: Here’s when yours will arrive

Apple kicked off Vision Pro preorders on Friday‚ ahead of the spatial computer's February 2nd release date. In theory‚ this gave you a two-week window to buy the Vision Pro and secure a February 2nd delivery. In practice‚ we all knew the Vision Pro stock that Apple allocated to online sales would disappear quickly — and that's exactly what happened. February 2 shipments sold out almost instantly‚ while in-store pickups are taking a bit longer to go. The 256GB Vision Pro was the first to sell out‚ and it took about 50 minutes before release-day in-store inventory was depleted in some areas. The more expensive models were still available for in-store pickup at the time of this writing. Currently‚ the earliest available home delivery option is March 1st for all three Vision Pro storage options. That's the soonest you'll get your hands on Apple's new spatial computer if you order one right now and have it shipped. Now that the Vision Pro is selling out online‚ you have two options left if you want one. The first involves heading to the nearest Apple retail store on February 2nd and hoping they have enough release day stock for you to get one. You'll be able to get a proper fitting and walk out with a Vision Pro if you're lucky. The good news is that you're in charge of your luck — all you have to do is preorder the device with in-store pickup and hope the system gets you a February 2nd appointment in your area. The second option is the one you've been dreading if you really want to get a Vision Pro. You'll have to wait several weeks and order a Vision Pro once they're back in stock online. Vision Pro guided tour: Apple offers deep dive into its first spatial computer

With Apple Vision Pro pre-orders now available‚ Apple released a guided tour to help you use the spatial computer. At the beginning of the video‚ a company executive says the best way to try this product is by heading to an Apple Store‚ which is something the company is pushing for more customers. Once you put on the Apple Vision Pro‚ you'll see the space you're in‚ including the people around you. In return‚ these people can see you and your eyes. Once you're set up‚ you start at the Home View‚ where you can view all your apps and experiences. To navigate‚ you only need to look at an app and then do a pinch gesture to click on that application. Once you're done‚ press the Digital Crown to go back. In a photo‚ you can look at the corner and pinch and drag to make it bigger on your Vision Pro. To zoom‚ look where you want to zoom‚ then pinch both hands and pull them apart. At the bottom of an app‚ you can pinch it and bring the application closer to you or another position. The Apple executive highlights panorama photos and spatial videos as immersive experiences during the Apple Vision Pro guided tour. Image source: Apple Inc. Then‚ they go to the Apple TV app. You can say‚ "Siri‚ open the Apple TV app‚" instead of looking and selecting. You can make the content up to 100-feet larger. You can add multiple windows into your space for productivity tasks‚ such as the Mail app‚ Apple Music‚ and Safari. Everything stays where you left them. Another use case is FaceTime. The Apple Vision Pro guided tour shows the Persona FaceTime call in action‚ which the company didn't let reviewers try in their hands-on. The Persona shows facial gestures thanks to all the sensors inside the computer. Users can switch from their real-life view to Environments. It works with any app. If someone is talking to you‚ they appear like a ghost so that you can stay connected with people around you‚ even in an Environment. The complete guided tour can be found here. Apple Vision Pro launches in the US on February 2‚ starting at $3‚499. Here’s another reason to buy a Rabbit r1: Perplexity Pro AI with GPT-4

There's no question about it: the playful-looking Rabbit r1 device unveiled during CES 2024 is one of the most exciting gadgets that debuted at the show. And yes‚ the Rabbit r1 is an AI-powered device since practically everything at CES this year involved AI. But this one does things very differently than ChatGPT and similar generative AI services.  Rather than only trying to answer questions and create content‚ the r1 does something no ChatGPT variant can do. r1 performs tasks in apps for you and can learn additional behaviors. The r1 demo was enough for Rabbit to sell out its initial batch of r1 units. The first run of r1 devices will ship out in the coming months‚ so there's a bit of a wait left. You can still preorder the device‚ and now there's another reason to hurry and do it. The first 100‚000 purchases will come with the premium version of Perplexity. It's an intriguing AI app that's been available on mobile devices for quite a while. Perplexity Pro normally costs $20 per month and offers access to the latest LLMs‚ including ChatGPT's GPT-4.  Continue reading... Buttermilk Parmesan Pork Chops

Buttermilk Parmesan Pork Chops

Buttermilk Parmesan Pork Chops are soaked in buttermilk to tenderize them and then coated with a mixture of Panko crumbs‚ flour‚ seasonings‚ and Parmesan cheese. They are then pan-fried until crispy and golden.  Next they are then topped with more Parmesan cheese and baked until cooked through. So wonderfully crispy and cheesy! Best Cooking Method For Pork Chops I love the process of starting pork chops in a frying pan and finishing them in the oven. You can turn the heat up good and high to get them really crispy on the outside‚ but you don’t have to worry about the outside burning before the inside cooks since they will finish in the oven. Type Of Skillet To Use Be sure to use an oven-proof skillet. Either a cast iron skillet or a stainless steel skillet. If you don’t have an oven-safe skillet‚ transfer the pork chops to a casserole dish before moving them to an oven. Boneless Pork Chops I use boneless pork chops for this recipe‚ but you can use bone-in. The pork chops available on the market today are much leaner than they were years ago and it’s hard to cook them without them drying out and getting chewy. Soaking them in buttermilk really helps tenderize them. Careful Not To Overcook Pork gets dry and chewy when it is overcooked. I recommend using an instant-read thermometer. Pork is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees F. The temperature will continue to rise a few degrees after you remove them from the oven so it is safe to take them out slightly below 145 degrees. How To Serve These Buttermilk Parmesan Pork Chops have a super thick coating that’s full of Parmesan flavor. Serve them with a few southern sides for a delicious family meal. These are so many sides that go great with them including Buttered Parsley Potatoes‚ Buttery Peas and Mushrooms‚ Cracker Barrel Baby Limas‚ Pecan Rice Pilaf‚ Country Ranch Green Beans and Potatoes‚ and Yeast Rolls.
