Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley said in an interview with NBC News and the Des Moines Register that she “maybe” would consider Ron DeSantis for her running mate. “If he wants to join forces with me‚ I welcome that‚” Haley said in the joint interview. “I am going to defeat Donald Trump on my own. That’s the goal that we have. NBC News reports: When DeSantis was asked in an interview with NBC News and the Des Moines Register on Thursday if he would consider joining forces with Haley‚ he answered‚ “For what?” He also called Haley a “phony” and a “darling of the Never Trumpers‚” intensifying his attacks on her as they fight for position in the race. Haley‚ by contrast‚ barely mentioned DeSantis in her interview‚ in which she also spoke about whether former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie should drop out of the race‚ attacks on her record from the right‚ and the racism she experienced growing up. DeSantis also accused Haley of running to be Trump’s vice president‚ which the Florida governor has said he would not do. Haley on Friday did not directly answer whether she would be Trump’s vice president if asked‚ dismissing it as a setup by her opponents. “The reason I don’t answer that question is I don’t play my opponents’ games‚” Haley said. But she also sought to pour cold water on the idea‚ adding‚ “I am not running to be vice president.” DeSantis told Fox News’ Neil Cavuto on Saturday that he wouldn’t be Nikki Haley’s vice president “under any circumstances.” “Well‚ I can tell you‚ I am not going to accept that under any circumstances‚” DeSantis said. “You know‚ I’m running for president because I think we need somebody that can win and get the job done‚” he added. Matthew Graves‚ U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia‚ held a press conference on Thursday to discuss the third anniversary of the January 6th U.S. Capitol protests. “It’s been three years since a violent mob attacked our Capitol‚” Graves said. According to C-SPAN‚ Graves “spoke on the progress of the investigations” and he requested “the public’s continued assistance in identifying individuals who committed crimes on January 6th.” In other words‚ the Department of Justice will continue its persecution of J6 protestors three years later. Graves said during the press conference they would expand their search to individuals who stood outside the U.S. Capitol and never entered the building. “An important note when it comes to our prosecutions of those who remained outside the [Capitol] building. We have used our prosecutorial discretion to primarily focus on those who entered the building or those who engaged in violent or corrupt conduct on Capitol grounds‚” Graves said. “But‚ if a person knowingly entered the restricted area without authorization‚ they had already committed a federal crime. The three people being sought were: Jonathan Daniel Pollock‚ Olivia Michele Pollock and Joseph Daniel Hutchinson III. Jonathan Pollock‚ 23‚ has been accused of assaulting multiple police officers with a deadly weapon. Authorities have been searching for him since 2022‚ according to an FBI bulletin. Olivia Pollock‚ who is Jonathan Pollock’s sister‚ and Hutchinson were arrested in 2021 after being charged with assaulting law enforcement and other crimes. CBS News previously reported that they both removed their ankle monitors in March 2023 and disappeared before they were set to stand trial. The FBI said in a statement that the three were captured when agents from the agency’s Tampa field office executed federal arrest warrants early Saturday morning at a ranch in Groveland‚ Florida. The FBI did not provide any information on how the three were arrested‚ or what led them to look at the ranch in Florida’s Lake County.

Should Christians give up their possessions? The answer is no. Some of us may need to reprioritize our possessions and ensure that they do not take the first space in our lives‚ giving Jesus back his place in our world and in our lives.

No matter how far we may wander from the Lord's perfect will for our lives‚ we are always welcome back. The Bible teaches that God's love cannot be lost‚ regardless of sin or poor decisions.

Jesus was the servant of all. In fact‚ He was the Servant King. Christ shares in the Gospel of John the importance of serving and following Him as He serves others.
