Democrats blame Harris' colossal failure on the man they kicked to the curb

Democrats blame Harris' colossal failure on the man they kicked to the curb

After Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 election, she and her allies refused to accept responsibility and instead blamed former FBI director James Comey, Russian President Vladimir Putin, former President Barack Obama, Wikileaks, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), supposed sexism, and, of course, "millions of white people." Having just lost the 2024 election to President Donald Trump by an even greater margin, Kamala Harris, her campaign, and allied Democrats are similarly looking for someone or something else to blame. Rather than admit that Harris ran a bad campaign with a weak and amorphous message or acknowledge that her radicalism, lack of transparency, alienation of key voter blocs, difficulties communicating, disenfranchisement of Democratic primary voters, prioritization of vibes over policy, complicity in Biden's failures, and collusion with a dishonest media likely turned off voters — or that Trump simply made the better pitch to Americans — they have instead settled on a scapegoat: President Joe Biden, the man they spent years pretending was fit for office then unceremoniously kicked to the curb. CNN's senior White House correspondent Min Jung Lee told Wolf Blitzer Wednesday, "Obviously there will be a lot of soul-searching and a lot of questions in the coming days about what, if anything, could Democrats and the Harris campaign have done differently. One thing we are clearly already starting to see take place is finger-pointing and the blame game, and a lot of that is going to be directed at President Biden." 'The biggest onus of this loss is on President Biden.' Lee added that the efforts to blame Biden are "even coming from some folks inside of the Harris campaign. One senior official I just talked to said, 'Biden will hold a lot of blame for it,' and frankly, they said, 'He should.'" Before deleting his X account Wednesday, David Plouffe, senior adviser to the Harris campaign, insinuated that Biden left Harris in a lurch, writing, "We dug out of a deep hole but not enough. A devastating loss." Biden — who consistently polled better than Harris — did the vice president no favors by calling millions of Trump supporters "garbage," letting the vice president humiliate herself during Hurricane Helene, and donning a Trump 2024 hat after a 9/11 memorial in Pennsylvania. However, Harris' allies appear to be primarily upset over Biden's decision to run in the first place, having signaled years earlier he would only serve one term. Several high-ranking Democrats, including three Harris campaign advisers, told the Associated Press that Biden should have thrown in the towel earlier. Those complaining on the condition of anonymity apparently believe that had Biden not waited until his ejection from the race through what some have called a "coup," Harris or some other Democratic candidate would have been afforded more than 107 days to fabricate a winning personality and agenda. "The biggest onus of this loss is on President Biden," said failed Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang, who endorsed Harris. "If he had stepped down in January instead of July, we may be in a very different place." Matt Bennett, executive vice president of the Democrat-supporting think tank Third Way, said, "Harris was dealt a really bad hand. Some of it was Biden's making and some maybe not." "He shouldn't have run," Jim Manley, top aide to former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, told Politico. "This is not time to pull punches or be concerned about anyone's feelings. He and his staff have done an enormous amount of damage to this country." Democratic strategist Mark Longabaugh similarly suggested that "Biden should have stepped aside earlier and let the party put together a longer game plan." Democrats appear reluctant to blame Rep. Nancy Pelosi (Calif.), Sen. Chuck Schumer (N.Y.), and the other Democrats who ostensibly forced Harris' more popular boss out of the race. Biden reportedly called Trump Wednesday to congratulate him on his historic victory and invited him to the White House. Like Blaze News? 'We did not expect this result': Trump-hating New York AG Letitia James vows to 'fight back' in wake of Trump's election win

Far-left New York Attorney General Letitia James campaigned for her office on the promise that she would go after Donald Trump — and has done so relentlessly. In the wake of Trump's resounding presidential victory over Democrat Kamala Harris, James gave a bizarre and cryptic speech Wednesday promising repeatedly that she would "fight back" against Trump's incoming administration.'So no matter what the next administration throws at us, we're ready. We're ready to respond to their attacks.'While James started off congratulating Trump on his win, she immediately went negative and said "if possible" her office will work with his administration."But we will not compromise our values, our integrity, our principles,” James added. It should be noted that James' delivery of her speech was dramatic to the hilt — full of whispered endings to phrases and frequent pauses, as well as clipped, halting pronunciations of key words that seemed to reflect anger, shock, and sadness over Trump's victory."We did not expect this result, but we are prepared to respond to this result," James went on to say. "And my office has been preparing for several months because we've been here before. We faced this challenge before, and we used the rule of law to fight back. And we are prepared to fight back once again because as the attorney general of this great state, it is my job to protect and defend the rights of New Yorkers and the rule of law. And I will not shrink from that responsibility."James acknowledged that her office between 2019 and 2021 took nearly 100 legal actions against Trump’s previous administration."We know their playbook," she added. "We know Project 2025 before it was even published. And we have been working both in my office and with other Democratic [attorneys general] across this country to make sure that we would be ready to respond to any attempt to roll back our rights.”James — still projecting drama-filled tones — appeared to be giving the ultimate pep talk."So here we are," she concluded. "We studied their platforms. We've identified certain possibilities, fact patterns. We've created contingency plans. So no matter what the next administration throws at us, we're ready. We're ready to respond to their attacks. We're ready to respond to any attempts to cut or eliminate any funding to the great state of New York, as the governor outlined. So, despite what has happened on the national stage, we will continue to stand tall in the face of injustice, revenge, or retribution."James finally brought things to an end, seemingly rallying the leftist troops with this promise: "This is not the time to be fearful, New York, but faithful and steadfast, knowing that I, as the attorney general, along with my entire team, we are guardians of the law, and we are prepared, my friends, to fight back."You can view James' relevant remarks here after the 9:20 mark.'Disgraceful'Following the speech, Kerri Urbahn — Fox News' legal editor — blasted James for her words, calling it "maybe the most distasteful speech I've ever seen a government official give after someone won the American presidency, and I think it reflects exactly how Letitia James has been this entire time."Urbahn added that James "has done everything in her power to destroy Donald Trump. She failed. Do you know how we know she failed? Because Donald Trump won decisively last night. This lawfare campaign that we have seen waged against Trump by attorneys general, by federal and state prosecutors, and doing so by twisting the law in ways they had never done before. ... They used the law against Donald Trump in ways they've never used against anyone else in their states, in this country, and the American people spoke loud and clear last night and said, 'We're done with this.' And yet for the attorney general of the state of New York to go on and give that speech just now is disgraceful."While the Department of Justice has moved to end federal cases against Trump before he takes office in January, state cases against him — such as the civil fraud case James brought against Trump, resulting in more than $450 million in penalties against him — still hang in the balance.Urbahn noted in regard to the state cases that "you would hope and you would think" that the states would take similar stances as the federal government. She said that Judge Juan Merchan will decide next week if immunity applies following the headline-grabbing trial earlier this year in which a Manhattan jury found Trump guilty on all 34 counts of falsifying business records. What's more, Trump's sentencing is scheduled for the end of November. But Urbahn cautioned Merchan, saying he should "think long and hard" about any further lawfare against Trump, given that widespread negative reaction to it was a big part of why Trump won back the White House so decisively this week. She also said James "abused the law" against Trump and said the New York appellate court was "incredibly skeptical" of James' civil fraud case against Trump. "I think he's actually going to win that case, and I think that court has been holding that decision for after the election."Don't forgetReaders of Blaze News likely haven't forgotten when New York City Fire Department members heckled James with boos at an official ceremony earlier this year, presumably over her anti-Trump antics. James motioned with her hands and told her apparent underlings to "simmer down" — but soon the firefighters began chanting, "Trump! Trump! Trump!" Check out the heat here.Unbelievably, FDNY Chief of Department John Hodges in response "fired off an email to other agency honchos warning a reckoning led by the department’s Bureau of Investigation and Trials was coming over the chorus of boos and chants of 'Trump' that James received," the New York Post reported."BITS is investigating this, so they will figure out who the members are,” Hodges wrote in an email to FDNY leadership, according to the Post, adding that "I recommend they come forward. I have been told by the commissioner it will be better for them if they come forward, and we don’t have to hunt them down."In addition, a U.S. District Court judge said the chanting against James wasn't about politics but about race.Like Blaze News? 'It was well worth it': 49er Nick Bosa doesn't regret risking fines by wearing a MAGA hat on the field

San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa said he doesn't regret wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat on the field in Levi's Stadium, even if he gets fined for it.Following a 30-24 win over the Dallas Cowboys on October 27, three of Bosa's teammates were participating in an interview with NBC's Melissa Stark. As Stark was asking star quarterback Brock Purdy about his halftime locker-room speech, Bosa popped up behind the two wearing a white MAGA hat with gold letters.About a week later, reporters caught up with Bosa in the locker room to ask him about the "Sunday Night Football" incident.'Clearly the nation spoke, and we got what we got.'"Nick, you could be fined for your hat; what are your thoughts on that?" one reporter asked. Bosa paused to think before saying, "I don't know; I haven't got one yet. If it comes, it comes.""Did you feel that going in, that that could be a possibility?" a second reporter asked.Clearly trying to be careful with his response, Bosa calmly replied, "It was well worth it.""I don't think my position on speaking about it is going to change; clearly the nation spoke, and we got what we got," he added.Another media member chimed in off-screen, asking Bosa if he had watched any of the election coverage, to which Bosa replied that he had "fun" and a "good time" watching."I stayed up," Bosa said, before the media session was quickly ended by 49ers staff.Bosa was just one of several Trump-related headlines from the NFL leading up to the 2024 election; Bosa's teammate threw support behind the president, as well. 49ers offensive lineman Jon Feliciano defended Trump against claims that there were racist remarks by a comedian at Trump's Madison Square Garden rally in New York."The only Puerto Ricans that are mad about Tony Hinchcliffe's joke, are mad because it helps push their agenda," Feliciano, a Puerto Rican himself, wrote on X.On the eve of Election Day, the mother of Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes endorsed Trump from the press box before the game."Make America Great Again! Let's do it," Randi Mahomes said.Furthermore, Buffalo Bills fans got a little more familiar with their home team's house rules when they found out they couldn't wear a "Trump 2024" T-shirt at Highmark Stadium.A group of fans clashed with a security guard who told them political T-shirts of any kind weren't allowed in the venue. The fans argued, but according to the Highmark Stadium guide, "Clothing or material with profane language or obscene graphics or anything political in nature" is prohibited in the venue. The NFL does not have a prohibition on such material league-wide, but much like some political issues, the decision is left to each individual team.Like Blaze News? Elon Musk’s first tweet following Trump’s victory is sheer PERFECTION

Elon Musk played such a vital role in the red wave that ultimately resulted in the re-election of Donald Trump that during Trump’s victory speech, the 47th president of the United States called him “a star.” “We have a new star. A star is born – Elon,” said Trump to a euphoric crowd. Dave Rubin admires and appreciates Musk, who “clearly was so deeply, deeply connected to this win” and “who put his butt on the line” for the good of the people. “If this had gone the other way, if the blue blob had won last night, it is very likely that Elon becomes the new target,” he says. “They would literally try to destroy the man.” However, the tech mogul, knowing the risks, stood up for the rights of Americans anyway. But now that Trump has won the election, he’s having a bit of fun rubbing it in the faces of the naysayers who hoped for his loss. On November 6, following the announcement of Trump’s landslide victory, Musk tweeted the following: “It's a picture of him holding a sink, which was of course a famous image of when he bought Twitter,” photoshopped onto an image of “the Oval Office,” says Dave, adding, “I think he is going to be the head of the department of government efficiency, and I think we are going to cut trillions … from the budget” and also from “the deficit.” “I think we can make government slim and trim and more effective again,” says Dave. To hear his prediction for the future of the country under a second Trump administration, watch the clip above. Kimmel, Colbert cry over Trump's election victory: 'It was a terrible night'

Late-night hosts Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel were predictably upset to the point of tears in the aftermath of President-elect Donald Trump crushing Vice President Kamala Harris in the presidential election."Let's be honest: It was a terrible night last night for women, for children, for the hundreds of thousands of hardworking immigrants who make this country go, for health care, for our climate, for science, for journalism, for justice, for free speech," Kimmel said, holding back tears. "It was a terrible night for poor people, for the middle class, for seniors. ... For our allies in Ukraine, for NATO, for the truth, and democracy, and decency."'The majority has spoken, and they said they don’t care that much about democracy.'"And guess what: It was a terrible night for everyone who voted for him. You just don't know it yet," Kimmel coped.“It was a really good night for Putin and for polio and for lovable billionaires like Elon Musk and the bros up in Silicon Valley and all the wriggling brain worms who sold what was left of their souls to bow down to Donald Trump,” he continued in his sad state."Kimmel is an insufferable nonsense propaganda puppet," Elon Musk said on X in response to Kimmel.Colbert simply started his monologue with, "Well, f**k. It happened. Again.""I wish, you wish, so many of you wished this did not happen. ... The majority has spoken, and they said they don’t care that much about democracy. And I want to take a moment to congratulate Kamala Harris and Tim Walz on running an amazing 107-day campaign," Colbert said.Colbert added that it is not true that comedians want Trump in office because he gives them a lot of material to work with. To illustrate his point, he joked that no one tells a janitor he should love cleaning up "explosive diarrhea" because he now has so much to work with.Like Blaze News? Military draft agency amplifies Democrats' Trump-Hitler narrative with profane social media post

The federal government agency tasked with managing the military draft database reshared a profane social media post, amplifying Democrats' narrative likening President-elect Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler. The New York Post reported that the Biden-Harris administration's Selective Service System shared an X post on Wednesday suggesting that with the re-election of Trump, the United States is headed toward a mandatory military draft.'We are investigating this incident.'The original post, written by a user going by the name "SloJoe," read, "For all you stupid f***s out there that still believe military service will be voluntary. Remember Germany 1936."The post apparently referred to Hitler's decision in March 1935 to reinstate military conscription in Germany, directly violating the Treaty of Versailles. A year later, Hitler ordered 3,000 German troops to occupy the Rhineland, a demilitarized region of the country bordering France.A CBS News report pointed out the agency's vulgar repost, stating, "What's going on with the @SSS_gov X account?"The post remained on the agency's page for more than an hour before it was removed, according to the New York Post. In June, Trump accused the Washington Post of coming "up with the ridiculous idea" that he would "call for Mandatory Military Service.""The Story is completely untrue. In fact, I never even thought of that idea," Trump wrote on Truth Social. Under U.S. law, nearly all men between the ages of 18 and 25 are required to register with the Selective Service System. The agency's website states, "While there is currently no draft, registration with the Selective Service System is the most publicly visible program during peacetime that ensures operational readiness in a fair and equitable manner."The Selective Service System's recent social media blunder follows a wave of repeated claims from the left that Trump is a "fascist." Democratic vice presidential nominee Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton stated that Trump's Madison Square Garden rally echoed a 1939 Nazi rally at the same venue. Walz claimed there was a "direct parallel" between the two events. The Selective Service System released a statement on Thursday addressing the repost. It read, "Yesterday an inappropriate X post related to a mandatory draft was reposted on the Selective Service Agency's X account. We are investigating this incident to determine how this happened and are proactively taking steps to prevent this from happening in the future. The reposted content was removed when we became aware of it. The content of the repost in no way reflects the views of the Selective Service System."Responding to the agency's statement, one X user wrote, "Sounds to me like a DEI [diversity, equity, and inclusion] hire.""We want a name and notice of their termination. Better cut them loose now instead of waiting until January," another user responded.Like Blaze News? Bypass the censors, sign up for our newsletters, and get stories like this direct to your inbox. AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D overclocked to 6.9GHz already, hits 1,500fps in CS2

It's almost impossible to praise the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D highly enough, with the excellent performance of the company's latest gaming CPU. However, technically it's still a chip that trails the Intel Core i9 14900K when it comes to raw clock speed, at least that was the case until Asus China's general manager, Tony Yu, got his hands on one and achieved an incredible AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D overclock. With help from liquid nitrogen (LN2), Tony Yu managed to cool the best gaming CPU you can buy down to around -190°C (-321°F), showing gthat the new AMD chip can be overclocked to a massive 6.9GHz and still run Counter-Strike 2 stably. Not that you need to run the chip at these speeds to get amazing performance, as our AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D review shows. Controversial FPS game Six Days in Fallujah gets first single-player missions

Six Days in Fallujah is a squad and tactics-based FPS that takes its mechanical inspirations from the likes of classic Rainbow Six, Swat 4, and the erstwhile SOCOM series. Narratively, however, it is ostensibly rooted in the reality of the Iraq War. Based on interviews with American soldiers, Iraqi soldiers, historians, and civilians, the game recreates events from the Second Battle of Fallujah, when Coalition forces recaptured the city from Al-Qaeda and Ba’ath Party occupiers in November and December of 2004. Until now, Six Days in Fallujah has only allowed for online play. Now, its first two single-player missions are here - rather than playing co-op with three other people, you can play Six Days in Fallujah’s campaign solo using its squad-shooter mechanics to command a small fireteam.
