So the Finnish army conscripts whipped the ass of the US marine core, but I can tell you this was not the first time this happened. Years ago I was teaching a group of guys from an ex USSR country. They had been years before on winter training as conscripts and were put up to “fight” the US marines. The US marines had the best equipment and the other team had cold war equipment some even dating from WWII. The US marines got there ass whipped. I asked how was that possible, it seems that the African Americans could not take the cold or the stress of winter fighting, this spread to the other marines and they stopped been a fighting force. I have also heard storys about the British SAS crashing, but its always covered up to save face.
