Most native people in Sweden want to help the refugees from Ukraine, but the media see this as raciest, taking the places of 3th world “refugees”. Ukrainian refugees are women and children, the men have stayed behind to fight. The 3t world “refugees” are young fit men who come to Europe to rape, kill and steal. MEDIA. "Do you understand that it can be experienced as making a difference between people and people?" SVT's journalist asks that question when Staffanstorp municipality announces that it wants to receive women and children fleeing Ukraine - but not adult men from the third world.
It is the municipal councilor Christian Sonesson (M) who in a news item announces that Staffanstorp welcomes refugees from Ukraine.
- Staffanstorp's attitude is that we will of course help those fleeing the Russian war and the Russian bombs, he says to SVT Nyheter Skåne.
However, the state television giant notes that Staffanstorp municipality has previously been reluctant to accept immigrants from the third world.
- Do you understand that it can be experienced as making a difference between people and people? asks the SVT reporter.
Christian Sonesson answers:
- There is a difference between people and people. These are people who have a very strong protection reason. There is a war going on in our immediate area in Europe. So the situation is completely different.
- It is women, children and the elderly who flee while the men stay.
According to Sonesson, many private individuals in the municipality have contacted him and offered housing to Ukrainian refugees.
