Jörgen Svidén, Chancellor of the Board of Appeal for Ethical Review, wants to prosecute Professor Kristin Sundquist for her alleged illegal research on immigrant crime. Attention is now drawn to the fact that the chief of staff himself has spread posts on Facebook that are perceived as both racist and homophobic.

In the past year, Jörgen Svidén has on several occasions attracted media attention as he is the head of the Chancellery of the Board of Appeal for Ethical Review (ÖNEP) - who wants Professor Kristina Sundquist at Lund University prosecuted for her research on criminal immigrants.
- It is about sexual crimes among foreign-born. She has not received permission for that, Jörgen Svidén told Samnytt last year.

Seven "illegal" reports
Since then, the pile of allegations against Sundquist has grown, and she is now suspected of no less than seven illegal research reports. All in some way related to immigration or immigrants.
That the Lund professor is criminally charged for so many research reports, she explains herself by saying that it is her research results that stand out.
- I have several times been asked if there is anyone at ÖNEP who conducts a personal vendetta against me, but I do not know any of the members at ÖNEP and knowingly have no enemies. My conclusion is that it is the research that is the focus for criticism from some and not myself as a person, Sundquist has previously told Samnytt.

Joking about Muslims
Just before Christmas, ÖNEP's chairwoman, HD judge and Justice Ann-Christine Lindeblad, was arrested in connection with a theft from a store. Thus, she had to leave her assignment in the Supreme Court as well as the post of chair of the board.

Now, an anonymous tipper also draws attention to the fact that Chancellor Jörgen Svidén is spreading eye-catching posts about Muslims and homosexuals on Facebook.
- I think it is very remarkable that the head of the highest ethics authority in Sweden attacks researchers, but himself has racist images on Facebook, the tipper tells Samnytt.
One of the posts is a comic strip where an "Abdul" has difficulty sleeping. He then gets the idea to try to count sheep to try to fall asleep, but instead becomes sexually aroused. Other posts are perceived as demeaning to homosexuals.

"A funny picture"
When Samnytt calls Jörgen Svidén, he has no memory of posting the Facebook picture.
- I do not know which post you are talking about, he says first.
When we describe the picture, and ask what he thinks of it, he answers like this:
- I do not remember, because I am rarely on Facebook. My interpretation is that it's a funny picture. Definitely not something racist. That has not been my intention.

In other respects, Svidén's Facebook page appears as a typical profile for an appointed manager in Swedish Government.
Pictures of the family, many friends in public administration, some S-politicians. And a classic approval of the group "The Sweden Democrats in the Riksdag - No thank you."
