But don’t you dare come here. In a country that is more than 96% white,  ANTI-WHITE DEVOUT MUSLIM RACIST,  Humza Yousaf, who served as First Minister for a short time, publicly claimed that Scotland is “too white.” But calling him a racist for saying that means that you are a far-right extremist and Islamophobe. Absentee Ballots for Overseas but Not Enough for Military

The Pentagon didn’t send enough absentee ballots to active duty service members in time for the election, and some Republicans are demanding something be done. GOP Reps. Brian Mast (R-Fla.), Bill Huizenga (R-Mich.), and Mike Waltz (R-Fla.) sent a letter on the 30th to Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin on Friday, citing their “grave concern […] The post Absentee Ballots for Overseas but Not Enough for Military appeared first on www.independentsentinel.com.

The Making Of A Leader: Dr. Jordan B. Peterson Lays The Foundation Of ‘Success’ In New Series

Words from someone who has achieved a successful standing, such as Dr. Jordan B. Peterson, impart guidance to those seeking direction from a role model with the sincerest of qualities and most admirable of attributes. Peterson has provided those words of guidance in “Success,” a new series exclusively available on DailyWire+. Peterson is arguably one of the best influential teachers to speak on the topic of success, though he would not be the one to make such a claim. When you meet Peterson, he is humble, never one to make arrogant remarks; considerate, always interested in even the strangers who surround him; and engaged, kindly focused on whoever speaks to him. He has a remarkable ability to concentrate solely on the person in front of him, almost as though all extraneous happenings have disappeared from his sight.  But the markers are clear, as he has achieved what most would define as success. He has come to popularity among crowds of the average man and woman searching for trusted guidance in life. He stands toe-to-toe with academic intellectuals, challenging them in their thinking while at the same time learning alongside them. He has interviewed some of the most noteworthy people in this generation and has been interviewed by the most noteworthy outlets. His family surrounds him with support and love. The facts of Peterson’s life give him a firm foundation on which to speak on success.  WATCH ‘SUCCESS’ ON DAILYWIRE+ Cast in a large Roman library, the setting appears regal as Peterson sits facing the camera in a wooden chair, with the Biblioteca Villanciano’s vastness in the background. He addresses the viewer directly, as though you sit straight across from him in an intimate conversation. Though he is a renowned speaker, a world-class lecturer, and an accomplished clinical psychologist in both scholarship and practice, Peterson does not have any airs of pretension about him. He is confident, yet relaxed; knowing, yet assuaging. Attentive as though you sit immediately before him, Peterson begins his discourse.  Leading without fanfare, he addresses the qualities ordinarily associated with success: “Let’s talk about some of the markers of success: money, fame, power,” he states matter of factly as he launches into the topic of money. “You hear this saying, ‘Money is the root of all evil.’ That’s not the saying,” he corrects. “The saying is, ‘The love of money is the root of all evil.’” Peterson cites the sixth chapter of 1 Timothy, as he synthesizes biblical knowledge with practical wisdom, never disparaging the viewer but rather consistently bolstering their knowledge. He has a unique way of taking commonly referenced sayings, no matter their origin, and clarifying their meaning so as to make them accessible, able to be understood and put into practice.  He starts broadly, discussing trade and trustworthy reciprocity at an economic level, and moves to being specific, illuminating the topic at an individual level for the viewer. Money is not the worst proxy for success, yet it is insufficient, as Peterson suggests. “As the cliche insists, there’s all sorts of things money can’t buy,” he explains and follows with an anecdote: A rich elderly man cannot buy the youth of a young person; given the opportunity to receive $20 million at the cost of becoming 85 years old, the young person would not likely accept. It is the young person who then has the advantage. “If you’re wise,” he concludes, “you don’t dare to be sanctimonious or holier than thou about the signals of valid trade.”  With regard to validity, Peterson distinguishes between valid and invalid fame. He defines the difference between the two, then addresses the issues of selling out and pandering to the crowd. If the pursuit of fame comes from a desire for notoriety and name recognition and is divorced from genuine social utility that is reciprocal, it becomes pathological. He delineates, “So, is there something wrong with wanting to be admired? Probably. Probably what’s more accurate is: There’s nothing wrong with wanting to live in a manner that other people would deem admirable. That’s a more sophisticated take on the idea.”  As he moves to the topic of power, Peterson asks: “Why would you equate success with power?” Certainly, we do so naturally. Successful people are, most assuredly, powerful people, whether in their specific field or in society at large, but it is how they use their skills that matter. As Peterson goes on to discuss, there is utility in being a leader, but the qualities of leadership (discernment in direction, unification, and accomplishment) can be easily confused with the ability to wield power. Real leaders listen and problem-solve, Peterson explains, saying, “If you intervene at the right time, you don’t need to use power. And why use compulsion when you can use persuasion?” Real leaders can correct a crisis when it is 50 miles away, so it never actually becomes a crisis. ‘MONEY, FAME, & POWER’ NOW STREAMING ON DAILYWIRE+ Happiness and stability are the next subjects into which Peterson delves, as they are often associated with success. Peterson has been consistent over his years of teaching to impress upon his listeners the importance of sacrifice in the present for security in the long term, and he remains consistent now, remarking, “There’s a stability that emerges as a consequence of the willingness to forego impulsive gratification that’s a hallmark of maturity.” Genuine intense pleasure comes from progress made toward a goal, and when stability, predictability, and security occur over a long period of time, “you’re not talking about happiness anymore; you’re talking about something more like iterable stability.”  Peterson warns of the notion of emotions, such as happiness, being linked to success: “The error in that presupposition is the implicit assumption that your subjective emotional state is the right marker for what constitutes success.” This becomes problematic because “that doesn’t take other people into account.” He goes on, saying, “There isn’t anything worse that can happen to you, on average, than to not get along with people.” He assures listeners of the degree to which we are the most social of creatures.  Concluding with the topic of multidimensional harmony, Peterson clarifies its relationship to success. Health of an integrated self, a long-term sexually committed romantic relationship, and communication within that relationship shield one from being impulsive, calling back to stability. There is danger, however, in thinking of success as fundamentally subjective. “It’s a big mistake. You want to be integrated into a hierarchy of social community in a manner that’s harmonious.”  Such harmony is the hallmark of success, words that Peterson leaves with his viewers to guide them to an understanding of success and the ability to harness success in their own lives. “You’ll be in the right place at the right time, doing the right thing.”

They Take in an 'Unwanted' Cat and Not Only Uplift Her Life but Also Bring Hope to Four Kittens

They took in an "unwanted" cat and not only uplifted her life but also brought hope to four kittens. Callooh and her kittensBestFriendsFelinesA few weeks ago, a local veterinary clinic contacted Nikki and her team at Best Friends Felines about a cat that had been brought in as a stray. The cat was friendly and likely had lived with people before. Despite searching and waiting, no one came forward to claim her. Her spirit began to fade the longer she stayed in the kennel. The staff urgently sought to place her in a foster home. "This young lady needed an immediate home as she was very pregnant," Best Friends Felines shared. BestFriendsFelinesWith some careful coordination, they arranged a foster home just in time for her to have her kittens. "She settled in albeit a little cautious of her surroundings; after all, it was a big week."After accepting a few belly rubs, she relaxed and quickly turned into a purring machine. She brought four kittens into the worldBestFriendsFelinesA few days later, she was at the vet for a check-up. Shortly after, she surprised everyone when the moment arrived - it was go-time."Between getting home and checking on her several hours later, she had already given birth to three healthy-looking babies. A very short time later, her fourth and final baby was born." BestFriendsFelines"We believe this was not her first litter (but will be her last), as everyone and everything was spotless the next morning."Callooh (the mom cat) was very attentive unless a belly rub was in the cards. With a quiet, comfortable home, she truly blossomed and grew fond of her foster family. BestFriendsFelines"She will often meet us at the door of the kitten room. She has also discovered her inner kitten and is pouncing around the room, playing with the toys we have in there."The kittens (Brillig, Wocky, Wabe, and Jubjub - all from the poem Jabberwocky) doubled in size within the first week and continued to hit all their milestones in the weeks that followed. "All have eyes wide open and are starting to wriggle around." Jubjub, Wabe, Brillig, and WockyBestFriendsFelines"Wocky (white) is one of the loudest kittens I have come across. He loves being snug and cozy, so moving him away to weigh him nightly or give him a little snuggle usually results in squealing. Wabe, the other white kitten, is the complete opposite. He is very chilled out and loves a slow lifestyle."Over the past two weeks, Wocky has become extra fluffy and has earned the nickname "Falkor" from The NeverEnding Story due to his soft, white, wispy hair. WockyBestFriendsFelinesAs the kittens ventured outside their nest and became more playful and mischievous, Callooh savored the peaceful, kitten-free moments with her humans. She still greeted them at the door, promptly reminding them if breakfast was served late.As soon as the kittens swarmed her, she plopped down and catered to their every whim. BestFriendsFelinesOnce they moved into a larger playpen, the kittens' energy and playfulness intensified. "Jubjub (the ginger and white) charges around his pen like a man on a mission."Brillig, the tortie, may be the smallest of the bunch, but she holds her own when wrestling with her brothers. "She is more on the stumpy side. But it just makes her adorable, and we want to snuggle her more." BrilligBestFriendsFelinesWhile the kittens wrestle and tumble with one another, their mom enjoys a few rare moments of calm - until her kittens leap out from the cat furniture onto her belly like a whirlwind.Wocky continues to lead the pack in weight, with the others not far behind. BestFriendsFelines"Callooh has been spending more and more time away from them. She is also interested in the furry visitors that peer in through the tall baby gate."The family of five welcomes every human with purrs and leg rubs. "It seems only yesterday that these babies entered the world." Soon, they will be embarking on their next exciting adventure. BestFriendsFelinesShare this story with your friends. Chuck Todd Augurs Kleptocracy “For a Generation” If Trump Reelected

The first vote totals of the 2024 presidential election have not yet been released, and yet the Regime Media have descended into a full meltdown. In addition to mindlessly repeating debunked hoaxes, they are mindlessly speculation about the ramifications of a Trump win. Case in point, NBC’s Chuck Todd. Watch as he joins the Meet the Depressed panel and forecasts that the GOP will descend into kleptocracy if Trump wins:  CHUCK TODD: The fascinating aspect of this is: neither party is going to be satis- they're not going to accept defeat. The question is do you accept defeat because you don't like the vote count, or do you not accept defeat because you don't like the way the party did it, right? You know, my greatest fear about this election is- if Trump wins, I think it- for a generation is what they believe this is how you conduct yourself in politics, and that this will cement this for a generation. I fear the transactional nature of him could actually turn the party into a kleptocracy if we're not careful. And one thing about political parties when they lose, they end up trying to emulate the party that wins, not necessarily. And while Democrats have been trying to be the anti-version of this- losing two out of three there’s going to be its own reckoning inside left that could have some saying, “hey, if you can't beat ‘em, join ‘em”, you know, whether it's lying or exaggerating, whatever you wanna-- and I do think that that is- that is what I think is on the ballot about our politics going forward for another half-generation.  This is a major case of projection on Todd’s part, enabled only by the media’s refusal to cover certain stories. One struggles to find an alternative explanation for Todd’s weird theories of kleptomania.  One also struggles to take seriously Todd’s stated fears of a party descending into corruption after seeing how the other party, aided and abetted by the media, conspired to hide the obvious cognitive and physical decline of the President of the United States. And needs to issue monthly corrections on employment, crime, and illegal alien encounters data.  Equally laughable is Todd’s rosy view of the Democrat Party as a paragon of Truth, which Todd says would be compelled to change and adopt “lying or exaggerating” if they were to go 1 for 3 against Trump. If Todd is saying out loud what the rest of the media thinks, then this explains their coverage of all things in recent memory, and their descent into madness during the Trump years.

Want abortion up until birth? Kamala Harris is your candidate

Two years after the Supreme Court ended the federal right to abortion, the fight to protect the unborn rages on. And there is no bigger threat to life than a Kamala Harris victory this Tuesday. Even without a Harris victory, this election's state ballot initiatives could advance a similarly radical pro-abortion agenda across the country. "If we have a Harris presidency, if the Democrats take control of Congress, we know that they're going to pass the [Women's Health Protection Act], which is going to ban states from having pro-life laws," Kelsey Pritchard of Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America told Align in an interview Thursday. More radical than Roe While the repeal of Roe v. Wade returned decisions on abortion policy to state and local government, the WHPA would prevent states from imposing any restriction or limitation on abortion. In writing the Roe ruling, the Supreme Court took care to acknowledge the moral issue inherent to abortion, explicitly defining it as a procedure ending "prenatal life." It forbade states to regulate abortion only up until the viability of the fetus, which generally occurs between 24 and 28 weeks. Tellingly, the WHPA dispenses with any references to human life, employing the euphemisms "abortion services" and "essential health care." Rather than representing a "restoration" of Roe, it is far more radical. "It's essentially going to allow abortion until birth in every state," Pritchard said. While the WHPA has previously failed to garner the 61 votes needed to pass in the Senate, Harris has vowed to eliminate the filibuster, lowering the necessary number of votes to a simple majority of 51. Abortion until birth Even without a Harris victory, this election's state ballot initiatives could advance a similarly radical pro-abortion agenda across the country, said Pritchard. New York, Florida, Nevada, and Maryland are among the states asking voters to enshrine abortion in their constitutions this Tuesday. Like the WHPA, these initiatives are open-ended enough that activists could use "lawfare" in order to force taxpayers to fund abortion up to birth. As an example of this, look no farther than the abortion policy of Harris' running mate, Minnesota governor Tim Walz. Thanks to Walz, said Pritchard, Minnesota has "no limits whatsoever" on abortion. "And that's as extreme as China." "We are one of only eight countries that allow abortion in all nine months," she continued. "Almost all of Europe has a limit after the first trimester or 15 weeks. But we are out of step with the modern developed world." Calculated deception Such radical abortion policy is also out of step with most Americans, 73% of whom oppose abortion after 15 weeks. Why the discrepancy? In a memo, SBA Pro-Life America has likened these vaguely worded "reproductive rights" initiatives to "Trojan horses." "Even when so many of the American people still aren't comfortable with abortion after a certain point, the way the abortion industry has been able to spin the issue has deceived people into going along with their agenda time and time again," Pritchard told Align. Much of it comes down to who has deeper pockets. With the help of George Soros and other donors, noted Pritchard, the pro-abortion side outspends the pro-life side seven to one. So far, pro-life advocates have failed to win a single ballot measure fight. Cause for optimism Still, Pritchard sees cause for optimism this year. "The good news is that we've got some measures that are in very red states this year, like South Dakota, Nebraska, Florida, and Missouri," said Pritchard. "Particularly with GOP leaders like [Florida Governor] Ron DeSantis, who are standing strong and exposing what these ballot measures will actually do ... we think we have a real shot at winning some of these this year." Whatever partial victories it seeks today, SBA Pro-Life America's overarching fight is against what it calls the abortion industry's "culture of death," which Pritchard noted "has a hold on all of our major institutions ... higher ed, the mainstream media, Hollywood, and many C-suites." She singles out journalists in particular for abdicating their traditional role. "The media need to wake up and realize that their job is not to be the abortion industry's PR department." Fighting the lie Such powerful backing, continues Pritchard, has allowed "this lie that an unborn child isn't a child but is a clump of cells ... [that] they're not human until they're born" to take root in America. "This lie has legitimized the taking of more than 60 million lives since Roe [was ratified in 1973]," she said. While SBA Pro-Life America advocates "compassion" for women dealing with unexpected pregnancies — devoting much of its work to defending pro-life pregnancy centers from Democrat attacks — the group's consistent message is the nonnegotiable "humanity of the unborn child" and the moral wrongness of abortion in any circumstance. "We will never relent on that point," said Pritchard. "The more [the American people] have to confront that, I think the more people we'll eventually win over." In the meantime, Pritchard urges pro-life Americans to make their voices heard on Tuesday. "Life is literally on the ballot and lives are on the line this election," said Pritchard. "We have to show up to vote, and we have to vote our values and vote for life." The way she sees it, the stakes are higher than any immediate outcome. "Our future generations are really depending upon us."
