DOMESTIC. The Christian Democrats' parliament is expected to say yes to a motion to stop the inbreeding that occurs in many immigrant groups from the third world, reports Samnytt.

The motion has been approved by both the party district annual meeting in the city of Stockholm, where it has its origins, and by the KD's party board, which wants the party members at the AGM to approve it, writes Samnytt.

These include so-called cousin marriages, which can lead to low IQ and pure intellectual disabilities.

"In several large immigrant groups in Sweden, such marriages are very common, such as in Iraq and Syria. Given the risks and since cousin marriage is no longer uncommon in Sweden, the party board shares the exerciser's view that the issue should be reviewed," the party board wrote in its statement on the motion.

The Sweden Democrats and the Liberals are already in favor of a ban on inbreeding
