"Imagine if Lori Lightfoot had been honest when she ran for Chicago mayor. She should have let everyone know that she was going to kick back in her cushy office while people got shot at. Perhaps she should have even admitted that she would watch as the numbers grew more and more horrendous.
No one would have voted for her, obviously.
She doesn’t have the position for life. If she enjoys being mayor, which looking at her social calendar, it appears she does, she may need to remember that she has to campaign to keep that job.
At this rate, it seems like the number of people being shot at increases week after week. Tourism is down considerably, and for good reason. No one wants to risk getting shot just because they decided to tour the Windy City.
This past weekend, 62 people were shot. It seems like it was only a few weeks ago that we were telling you that 20 people were shot. 20 seemed like a lot of shootings for a single weekend. The mayor has really outdone herself as we prepare to enter the fall months.
Out of the 62 people shot, the Chicago Sun-Times identifies that eight were fatalities."

What they should do is limit the number of appeals and reinstate the death penalty!!!! And I think this is as good as letting the money go to those with tax issues and those committing fraud! Also if you have a criminal record...you get no $$$!!!!!!!!!!

Democrats are rushing headlong to get Biden’s bloated spending bill passed. As usual, they want to make this bill law, before most people can even see what’s in it. But Republicans are peeling back the layers and discovering some serious problems.
We know that this bill amounted to a socialist takeover of our economy. Biden wants to put millions of Americans on welfare. And, while he promised this bill was “zero cost” to taxpayers, the opposite appears to be true.
Republicans blasted Democrats over a provision in Biden’s socialist bill that would hit married couples with a heavier tax burden. The “Earned Income Tax Credit” actually results in families paying more in taxes, than they would if the couple wasn’t.
Under Biden’s bill, that tax penalty could be doubled that it is right now. Meaning, people who want to save money in taxes might be compelled not to get married, despite having children together. Are Democrats trying to discourage people from getting married?
Why would they have this penalty in there, otherwise? Republicans hammered Democrats saying, “marriage is a vital social good.” Yet in their desperation to shake down Americans for every last dime, Democrats seek to destroy this union, to pay for their bloated agenda."

The Helena Police Department is seeking help locating a missing teen.

Gage Zander Breneman, 15, is a white male, is 5 feet and 4 inches tall, and weighs 115 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray sweater, black sweat pants and red Jordan shoes.

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- It has been one year since Jasmine Moore was reported missing and the fate of the Chesterfield mother remains a mystery.

Moore was 24-year-old when friends said they last saw her on October 3, 2020, at her home on Rowanty Court.

Moore's parents said when they had not heard from their daughter, they quickly knew something was wrong.
