Teresa accused the late fitness guru’s brother, Leonard “Lenny” Simmons, of manipulating her out of the inheritance in order to gain sole control and profit off Richard’s name. Recent updates reveal that Richard’s personal assistant Michele Matz has also joined in the fight against Lenny, and has uncovered some private emails in the process. Teresa’s latest petition was to have Lenny’s power as trustee suspended to prevent the sale of Richard’s assets. She submitted some emails to back Teresa’s argument that Richard was estranged from his former manager, Michael Catalano, allegedly working with Lenny to sell the late star’s property. Teresa explained Richard cut ties with Catalano in 2022, due to fraud and exploitation. Richard reportedly swore to never work on another project with Catalano, after he suggested a documentary about his life. Matz’s correspondence seemed to encourage Richard, assuring him that his pension, social security, and Medicare coverage are protected from Catalano.
