Five Brand New Kamala Controversies CBS Is Refusing to Report

On October 20 CBS News issued a defensive statement on their sleazy edit of their 60 Minutes interview with the Vice President, insisting they did nothing wrong. But their deceptive cutting up of video — to make Kamala Harris look better — isn’t the only way they’ve been aiding the Harris-Walz campaign.  Five brand new Harris controversies have unfolded in October which CBS News has completely ignored.   From Harris dodging questions about her craziest policies, to being accused of plagiarism, the following are five brand new Kamala Harris controversies the so-called “Tiffany network” has yet to touch on their evening (CBS Evening News) or morning (CBS Mornings; CBS’s Face the Nation) shows:     1. Harris Dodges Question About Support for Taxpayer Funded Transgender Surgery for Illegal Aliens in Prison     On October 18, The Federalist reported:  Vice President Kamala Harris told Fox News host Bret Baier she would “follow the law” when asked about her support for prisoner “sex change” surgeries. According to the law under the Biden-Harris administration, trans-identifying prisoners could be entitled to taxpayer dollars for the procedures. On Wednesday, Baier presented Harris with an ad from former President Donald Trump’s campaign airing the then-California senator’s endorsement of trans surgeries for prison inmates. During a sit-down interview with the National Center for Transgender Equality (NCTE) in 2019, Harris spoke about her time as attorney general when she “made sure that they changed the policy in the state of California so that every transgender inmate in the prison system would have access to the medical care that they desired and need,” including requested surgery. “Are you still in support of using taxpayer dollars to help prison inmates or detained illegal aliens to transition to another gender?” Baier asked. “I will follow the law,” she said, “and it’s a law that Donald Trump actually followed.” CBS evening and morning show coverage: 0 seconds.   2. Harris Ducks Question About Joe Biden’s Mental Decline      On October 16, FoxNews.com reported:  Vice President Kamala Harris was confronted with questions about her knowledge of President Biden’s mental decline during her interview Wednesday with Fox News’ Bret Baier.  “You told many interviewers that Joe Biden was on his game, that ran around circles on his staff. When did you first notice that President Biden's mental faculties appeared diminished?” Baier asked.  After a brief pause to the question, Harris continued touting Biden’s ability in office. “Joe Biden, I have watched from the Oval Office to the Situation Room, and he has the judgment and the experience to do exactly what he has done in making very important decisions on behalf of the American people,” Harris said.  “There were no concerns raised?” Baier followed. “Bret, Joe Biden is not on the ballot…and Donald Trump is,” Harris responded.  CBS evening and morning show coverage: 0 seconds.   3. Harris’s Husband Doug Emhoff Reportedly Abused Ex-Girlfriend     On October 11, the New York Post reported:  Second gentleman Doug Emhoff did not deny allegations Friday that he “forcefully” struck an ex-girlfriend more than a decade ago following a booze-filled evening in France, instead calling the claim a “distraction.” MSNBC host Joe Scarborough asked Emhoff in a clip from an interview that will air Monday on “Morning Joe” to respond to several “tabloid stories about your personal life” — an apparent reference to recent Daily Mail reports that he slapped his former flame and hired a “trophy secretary” at his high-powered Los Angeles law firm. “We don’t have time to be pissed off,” the second gentleman said in response. “We don’t have time to focus on it. It’s all a distraction. It’s designed to try to get us off our game.” CBS evening and morning show coverage: 0 seconds.   4. Harris Admits She Remains Open to Reparations On October 15, USA Today reported:  Kamala Harris remained open to reparations for slavery and agreed with an accusation that Donald Trump supports fascism in a wide-ranging interview Tuesday with popular radio host Charlamagne Tha God. “This is a margin-of-error race. It’s tight. I’m gonna win. I’m gonna win, but it’s tight,” Harris told listeners at the top of an hour-long interview, three weeks before Election Day as the Democratic nominee expands her outreach to Black voters, in particular, Black men. Harris, who would be the first Black female president if elected, has sharpened her pitch to African American voters – a critical Democratic constituency – while polling suggests Trump has made slight inroads with Black male voters.… Harris told Charlamagne that reparations for descendants of enslaved people should be studied, but stopped short of endorsing a reparations plan.  “On the point of reparations, it has to be studied. There’s no question about that. And I’ve been very clear about that position,” said Harris, who as a U.S. senator from California backed legislation that would have created a federal commission to study slavery reparations. CBS evening and morning show coverage: 0 seconds.   5. Kamala Harris Accused of Plagiarism  On October 14, FoxNews.com reported:  Vice President Harris is being accused of plagiarizing from several sources in her 2009 book on policing that was released while she was district attorney of San Francisco.  The book, “Smart on Crime: A Career Prosecutor’s Plan to Make Us Safer,” was co-authored with Joan O’C Hamilton.  The so-called “plagiarism hunter,” Austrian professor Stefan Weber, found 27 times that Harris, the 2024 Democrat nominee for president, and her co-author allegedly committed some form of plagiarism. He found that “24 fragments are plagiarism from other authors, [and] 3 fragments are self-plagiarism from a work written with a co-author.” Manhattan Institute senior fellow and conservative activist Chris Rufo first reported on the allegation on Monday, pointing to multiple examples from Harris' book in which entire sentences and phrases were apparently lifted from other sources without the use of quotations, though in some cases a footnote cites the source.  “Taken in total, there is certainly a breach of standards here. Harris and her co-author duplicated long passages nearly verbatim without proper citation and without quotation marks, which is the textbook definition of plagiarism,” Rufo wrote.  Fox News Digital independently verified that Harris’ book features verbatim and near-verbatim reproductions from a 2008 NBC News report, a press release from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, a Wikipedia page and a report from the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), among others. CBS evening and morning show coverage: 0 seconds.

‘They staged a coup’: Jim Gaffigan humiliates Democrats in hilarious speech

Comedian Jim Gaffigan may be a lifelong Democrat, but that didn’t stop him from absolutely obliterating his own party during his Al Smith Dinner speech. “President Biden couldn’t be here tonight, the DNC made sure of that,” Gaffigan said to thunderous applause. “You know, this has been an interesting presidential campaign. The Democrats have been telling us Trump’s re-election is a threat to democracy.” “In fact, they were so concerned of this threat, that they staged a coup, ousted their democratically elected incumbent, and installed Kamala Harris,” he continued. “In other words, all her dreams have come true.” Gaffigan’s jokes were so undeniably true, that even Chuck Schumer was laughing — and Dave Rubin of “The Rubin Report” is impressed. “The whole point of comedy is that you say something true, and you have a twist to it, then you laugh, and then you’re able to think about something. That’s what good comedy is, right? You get somebody to think about something through laughter,” Rubin says. “If you just run up to somebody and say the truth, they might punch you in the face, but Chuck Schumer laughing at the joke about the DNC pulling off the coup, does kind of tell you a little something,” he continues. While conservatives felt relieved by Gaffigan acknowledging the truth through his jokes, he didn’t just go after the Democrats. “He made fun of Trump, he made fun of Republicans,” Rubin says. “Just a year ago, it would be fair to say he had Trump Derangement Syndrome, talking about January 6 with Joe Rogan.” “This guy is certainly not a Trumper, he’s not a Republican, he’s not a conservative, anything else, but here he is making fun of the Dems, and the Dems don’t even show up,” he adds. 'He outright LIED': The Atlantic's Jeffrey Goldberg is back with another 'dishonest' Trump smear — but it's quickly debunked

The Atlantic's editor in chief, Jeffrey Goldberg, is at it again, smearing former President Donald Trump with anonymous sources and providing ammunition for Democrat political attacks ahead of Election Day. Unfortunately for Goldberg and his anti-Trump narrative, people who were actually in the room at the time the remarks were supposedly made have indicated that nothing of the sort happened — that it's more fake news. Army Private Vanessa Guillén — posthumously promoted to the rank of specialist — was murdered inside the armory at Fort Hood in April 2020 by a fellow soldier. Goldberg claimed that Trump volunteered to help financially with Guillén's funeral but then raged upon learning the total cost. According to the hit piece, Trump said, "It doesn't cost 60,000 bucks to bury a f***ing Mexican!" and ordered his then-chief of staff, Mark Meadows, not to pay. Meadows, a leading character in Goldberg's narrative, noted Tuesday, "I was in the discussions featured in the Atlantic's latest hit piece against President Trump. Let me say this. Any suggestion that President Trump disparaged Ms. Guillen or refused to pay for her funeral expenses is absolutely false." 'President Donald Trump absolutely did not say that.' "He was nothing but kind, gracious, and wanted to make sure that the military and the U.S. government did right by Vanessa Guillen and her family," added Meadows. Ben Williamson, a former senior communications adviser for the Trump White House and spokesman for Meadows, provided insight into the extent of Goldberg's dishonesty, highlighting the substantial disparity between Meadows' statement, as provided to the Atlantic, and what was ultimately printed in the final piece. Williamson indicated that he shared the following statement from Meadows with the Atlantic via text: President Donald Trump absolutely did not say that. He was nothing but kind, gracious, and wanting to make sure that the military and the U.S. government did right by Gloria Guillen and her daughter Vanessa Guillen. As for the allegation that he told me to refuse payment: That is not true. Williamson noted that the "Atlantic translated that comment to 'didn't hear Trump say it.' Treat this dishonest piece accordingly." 'He used and exploited my clients, and Vanessa Guillen's murder ... for cheap political gain.' Trump spokesman Alex Pfeiffer similarly relayed a narrative-killing statement to the Atlantic from then-acting Secretary of Defense Christopher Miller's chief of staff, Kash Patel, but it appears to have made it into the article unscathed: As someone who was present in the room with President Trump, he strongly urged that Spc. Vanessa Guillen's grieving family should not have to bear the cost of any funeral arrangements, even offering to personally pay himself in order to honor her life and sacrifice. In addition, President Trump was able to have the Department of Defense designate her death as occurring "in the line of duty," which gave her full military honors and provided her family access to benefits, services, and complete financial assistance. Natalie Khawam, the attorney for the Guillén family quoted in the Atlantic hit piece, characterized Goldberg as a liar. "After having dealt with hundreds of reporters in my legal career, this is unfortunately the first time I have to go on record and call out Jeffrey Goldberg," wrote Khawam. "Not only did he misrepresent our conversation but he outright LIED in HIS sensational story. More importantly, he used and exploited my clients, and Vanessa Guillen's murder ... for cheap political gain." Extra to noting the curious timing of the hit piece, Khawam tweeted, "Not only did Trump support our military, he also invited my clients to the Oval Office and supported the I Am Vanessa Guillen bill too." Goldberg's smear was so unbelievable that even Guillén's sister, Mayra, put her foot down Tuesday, calling out the Atlantic for its dishonesty and ghoulish attempt to exploit the service member's death for political purposes. "Wow. I don't appreciate how you are exploiting my sister's death for politics," wrote Mayra Guillén. "Hurtful & disrespectful to the important changes she made for service members. President Donald Trump did nothing but show respect to my family & Vanessa. In fact, I voted for President Trump today." Even though Goldberg's report has significant credibility issues, the Democratic National Committee circulated it widely as though it were true — just as it circulated Goldberg's last election-time hit piece. Weeks ahead of the 2020 election, Goldberg claimed that during a trip to Paris in 2018, Trump called fallen soldiers "suckers" and "losers." Despite its liberal skew, even Snopes acknowledged there was "no evidence of an audio or video recording of the remarks in question, nor was there any documentation, such as transcripts or presidential notes, to independently confirm or deny the alleged quotes' authenticity." Blaze News senior editor for politics Christopher Bedford noted shortly after Goldberg's 2020 hit piece debuted that Goldberg had centered his piece on "secondary-source rumor-mongering" even though it was contradicted by substantial primary sources, including both people and documents. "That should have earned a swift no-publish call, but instead their qualms went completely unmentioned," wrote Bedford. "An unskeptical belief the president is a bad man who must be defeated has led to discarding an ever-growing number of essential journalistic practices. It's the reason more and more Americans don't trust their media — and it's a good one." None of those problems stopped Democrats from running with a story they'd already known was coming. The 2020 hit piece was published on a Thursday night, but by Friday morning, MSNBC's "Morning Joe" had "the exclusive" on a polished Democrat attack ad featuring veterans attacking Trump over specific allegations in the article. Laurene Powell Jobs — the president of Emerson Collective, which owns the Atlantic — just happens to be one of Kamala Harris' biggest financial backers and has been shoveling cash her way since 2003. Goldberg's article ostensibly serves as a different kind of campaign support. Like Blaze News? Bypass the censors, sign up for our newsletters, and get stories like this direct to your inbox. Fallout London has been played by over one million people already

Fallout London is nothing short of a miracle. Team Folon, made up of superfans and modders, managed to create an entire game within Fallout 4. London isn't the first Fallout total conversion mod, and I doubt it'll be the last, but it's definitely the most impressive. The world of Folon's England is vast, filled with unique NPCs and quests, and fits right at home in Bethesda's universe. It's so good in fact, that the team has just celebrated Fallout day by hitting a new milestone. New strategy game is Civilization 6 with tougher combat, and a huge hit on Steam

It’s those final few hours of Civilization 6 that can really grind you down, when the map is teeming with different units from every single opponent, and you’re all fighting one another turn after brutal turn. Civilization 7 is reworking the entire meta game, as your nation and culture evolves with each new era, and I’m hoping the large-scale combat will feel different, too. In the meantime however, Age of History 3 feels like a superb alternative. Created by Łukasz Jakowski, this is a grand strategy game in the vein of Europa Universalis and Hearts of Iron, but with a greater focus on warfare. Less than a day old, it’s already a huge hit on Steam.
