‘FEMA is not here’: Blaze Media exposes the truth in North Carolina

While mainstream media continues to report that the federal government is doing all it can to help the victims of Hurricane Helene, Blaze News investigative journalist Steve Baker is on the ground and reporting a different story. Baker explains that the operational center run by a group called Savage Freedoms is bringing aid to these Americans, but it’s not all thanks the group is receiving. “They’re all ex-military, and it’s run like a really finely tuned special operations operation,” Baker tells Jill Savage and Matthew Peterson of “Blaze News Tonight.” “These guys are doing such a great job they’re embarrassing other elements, and some people are out there now claiming that these guys are one of these dangerous domestic terrorist militias that are actually doing harm and threatening government workers.” “I’m here on the ground, and I can tell you there’s nothing further from the truth,” he says. While Savage Freedoms is helping, FEMA is nowhere to be seen. “FEMA is not here. And when you ask about FEMA here, with the volunteers, the staff, the people that are running this operation with a smile on their face, they just say, ‘Well, they’re not here,’” Baker explains. “If you get in a conversation here with somebody a little bit more off the record or on background, they will tell you that what FEMA is doing is essentially handing out paperwork to be signed, forms to be filled out, applications to be made.” “Whereas these guys and other frontline first responder civilian operations are actually getting the work done,” he adds. 'No balls necessary': Women's soccer team apologizes to transgender community for 'too many balls' ad campaign

A new franchise in the National Women's Soccer League has issued an apology for airing a commercial asserting there are "too many balls" in Boston sports. The BOS Nation Football Club posted a one-minute video on X Tuesday that features cameos from Tom Brady and a member of the Boston Bruins. The video focuses on Boston's championship culture and highlights the "trophies, banners, rings, and balls" in the city.'At a time when trans women are being excluded from sport at every level, is "too many balls" really the tagline you want to go with here?'"Old balls, new balls, steel balls, cold balls, even goat balls," the narrator says. The video then shifts focus on how Boston could use a new women's team."Boston loves its balls, but maybe there are too many balls in this town," the voiceover continues, before introducing the club."We are BOS Nation, where anything is possible. No balls necessary," it concludes. The entire campaign was in jest, and some might say completely harmless given the context, but that didn't stop the team from crumbling under criticism from activists.Notably, a WNBA writer said the ad felt like it excluded transgender people."The thing that bothers me the most about this campaign is how TERFy it comes across," Frankie de la Cretaz wrote. "At a time when trans women are being excluded from sport at every level, is 'too many balls' really the tagline you want to go with here?" The acronym "TERF" stands for "trans-exclusionary radical feminists," meaning feminists who don't believe males can become females.De la Cretaz also wrote about feeling "unsafe" at a WNBA game because a fan was wearing a Make America Great Again hat.Amid the hubbub, the BOS Nation Football Club deleted its campaign video then issued a groveling apology to anyone offended."While we had hoped to create a bold and buzzworthy brand launch campaign, we missed the mark," the team said in a statement. "We fully acknowledge that the content of the campaign did not reflect the safe and welcoming environment we strive to create for all, and we apologize to the LGBTQ+ community and to the trans community in particular for the hurt we caused."The team's statement also declared that "we are proud to be part of the most inclusive sports league in the world and are committed to upholding the unifying values that define the NWSL and our club."The team then thanked those who held them accountable and called for them to "do better.""We hear you and we will, together," the statement concluded. — (@) As has become typical with members of woke activist mobs, the apology was not received well, and they immediately started demanding that the team change its name:"Just change the name and fire the people who were involved in approving this advertising, and it will help," the top response read."Now apologize for the name and actually choose a name," another reply demanded. "At its face, defining women on the existence of men is just a really weak marketing play in 2024," another user declared. The NWSL has been celebrating activism for years, including "Pride Month" and Juneteenth. The league also has instituted "ongoing efforts" to expand diversity, equity, and inclusion programs that focus on "promoting equality and social justice within the sports community and society at large."Like Blaze News? 'F*** them forever': Andrew Schulz's show canceled hours after Trump interview goes live

Ahead of the 2016 election, comedian Jimmy Fallon traded laughs with then-candidate Donald Trump on "The Tonight Show." Democratic boosters and other leftists condemned the host for "humanizing" the Republican. Future "Jeopardy!" host Ken Jennings joined other middling media personalities in further insinuating that Fallon was racist-adjacent and courting white supremacists, while others called for the comedian's cancellation. Unfortunately for comedian Andrew Schulz, it appears that intolerance has not dissipated over the past eight years. Schulz revealed on the Wednesday episode of the "Flagrant" podcast that a New York venue canceled what would have been his special just hours after he hosted the once and possibly future Republican president. 'It's booked. It's ready to go. We're going on sale this week.' According to Schulz, he was set to shoot his next comedy special at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. However, shortly after his massively popular interview with Trump went live, the venue notified him that it was canceling the gig. "It was an awesome interview and everybody loved it, and then a day later, [producer] Dov [Mamann] was like, 'Oh by the way, the venue you're going to shoot your special in canceled your shows,'" said Schulz. "Within three hours." "Flagrant" co-host Akaash Singh said, "After we interviewed him, before the episode comes out, he goes to the venue. Everybody leaves on Schulz's special team. All of them have to go to the venue to check it out. I assume everything is good." "Yeah, so we've had these venues locked in for months now," replied Schulz. "It's not like, 'We might do it here.' It's booked. It's ready to go. We're going on sale this week. We had the entire production team come out for the — this is for the third time many of us are spotting the venue and looking and everything. We have the set design already curated. We're moving around seating plots, camera — it's ready to go." "I don't know if it's the Trump interview," said Schulz. "But the day before it came out, we were ready to go and were going on sale this week. And three and a half hours afterwards, we get this email." The podcast shared an image of an Oct. 9 email from the venue, which read: First off, I want to thank you for thinking of BAM for Andrew Schulz's upcoming comedy show. We are always excited when promoters consider our space for their events. After some internal discussion with leadership, it was decided that BAM is not the right fit for this show at this time. That said, we really do appreciate you reaching out and we'd love to work with you on future events that might be a better match for BAM. Our door is always open for a chat about other shows you think might work well in our space. Thanks for considering us. Looking forward to potentially collaborating down the line! Diane Max, former board chair for Planned Parenthood NYC and current Planned Parenthood Federation of America board member, is the chair of the venue's board of trustees. Planned Parenthood endorsed Kamala Harris once again in July. "F*** them and f*** them forever," added Schulz. Mamann, who emphasized the venue had previously been receptive to the content planned for Schulz's special, suggested this "felt personal." After yelling "MAGA," Schulz joked that while his "vote was up for grabs," the board of the venue has pushed him in a particular direction. Blaze News reached out to the Brooklyn Academy of Music but did not receive an immediate response. Like Blaze News? Suspended Jewish professor who criticized pro-Hamas radicals required to undergo re-education to return to Columbia

Columbia University announced this week the temporary suspension of Shai Davidai, an Israeli Jewish assistant professor at the university's business school.Davidai was previously briefly suspended in April by the Ivy League school after pro-Hamas protests set up a large encampment at the main campus where the professor teaches, Blaze News previously reported.'Hatred happens when people like you are indifferent.'On Tuesday, Davidai posted on X stating that he was once again barred from Columbia following an exchange last week with Cas Holloway, the university's chief operating officer. On the memorial of the October 7 massacre, Davidai joined pro-Israel and Jewish students in hosting two on-campus memorials, which included an art installation and a memorial service featuring speakers and songs. However, the memorials were interrupted by a massive group of partially and completely masked pro-Hamas activists who encircled the Jewish students while they stood silently holding Israeli flags.Davidai wrote on X, "Imagine hating someone so much that you won't even let them grieve. Not even one day."Videos of the pro-Palestine demonstration showed hundreds of individuals marching through campus, blocking walkways for other foot traffic and bicycles. The activists chanted, "One solution," and, "Resistance is glorious! We will be victorious!"Davidai explained, "First, they circled the area in which the Jewish memorial service had just been held. Then, they stopped their march and protested right outside the memorial art installation. They are sending a clear message. They are protesting us."According to Davidai, the Jewish students who hosted the memorial for the October 7 victims "followed every rule in the books," while the masked pro-Hamas activists "flagrantly openly disobeyed them."Davidai called Columbia's failure to act "cowardice."The professor posted videos confronting Holloway as he walked through campus amid the ongoing protest."Hatred happens when people like you are indifferent," he told Holloway. On Tuesday, Davidai provided an update to his social media followers, writing, "Last week, I posted a video of Cas Holloway, @Columbia's COO, allowing a Hamas march on campus in celebrationg [sic] of the October 7 Massacre. He has now retaliated and had me suspended from campus."In a statement to the New York Times, Columbia confirmed that Davidai was temporarily suspended, claiming that he "repeatedly harassed and intimidated university employees in violation of university policy."The news outlet noted that the suspension does not impact the professor's employment or salary.According to the school, Davidai may return only once he "undertakes appropriate training on our policies governing the behavior of our employees."Like Blaze News? Fortnite’s new space-saving client is delayed until “late 2025,” reports say

Game install sizes are increasingly large these days, especially with how much content gets rammed into the likes of each new Fortnite update, Call of Duty map pack, and Assassin’s Creed game. Trying to decide what to uninstall to make space for your next game can feel like an arduous task - I’m already wondering what’s going to have to go to clear room for the eventual GTA 6 launch. Unfortunately, it seems we’ll still be waiting a while longer for a proposed ‘thin client’ that could dramatically reduce your Fortnite install size. Planet Coaster 2 system requirements demand 16GB VRAM from some graphics cards

The Planet Coaster 2 system requirements are out, and this highly anticipated theme-park sim is demanding a whopping 16GB VRAM graphics card in its recommended tier. However, there is more to this confusing demand than meets the eye, so don't fear if your GPU isn't quite hitting the same levels. While developer Frontier Developments doesn't demand the very fastest of the best graphics cards in the Planet Coaster 2 requirements, seeing an Intel Arc A770 16GB graphics card selected is surprising. Granted, VRAM isn't everything, and the other options include an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super, showing that the selection of the A770 could be down to the fact that the game is better optimized for Nvidia hardware. New Steam strategy game Citadelum is like Cities Skylines 2 set in Ancient Rome

On the surface, Cities Skylines 2 is a game of modern problems. Your citizens don’t just need houses - they need commerce, mass transit, multi-lane highways, and an effective power grid. These seem like 21st century stresses. But, as it turns out, governing the ancient world is equally complex, and its people just as demanding. A combination of Colossal Order’s genre-leading city builder and the historical setting of Civilization 6, Citadelum is a new strategy game where you’re in charge of constructing, overseeing, and leading a Roman city during the height of the empire. ‘Cities Skylines but you’re Julius Caesar’ is an extremely strong pitch. This could be the new city builder of our dreams.
