Alarming MOJAVE DESERT Encounters & Sightings!

Anomalous activity in the desert is not uncommon. But there are a few incidents that that out. The Mojave Desert is well-known for its strange and unexplained events."Dear, Lon. While driving one late evening into a national park in Southern California in our jeep, my wife and I noticed what appeared to be a wildfire bordering the perimeter of a small mountain. It was possibly one-half mile long and not very deep as the vegetation in the desert is not dense. We instantly tried to call 9-1-1 to advise them of the situation but could not make any connection. The area is heavily mineralized with large iron deposits and possibly interfered. To our amazement, as we watched, the fire suddenly and spontaneously went out. We then realized that what we had seen was no fire but the lights within an opening of immense size at the bottom of the mountain. The lights may have been similar to the red lights that Navy pilots are exposed to at night before going to their planes to accustom their eyes to the dark. This may point to a government underground installation rather than an alien structure but I don't know.We were both stunned and sat there for several seconds then decided it was time to leave. We traveled further into the desert until we found a place to make a U-turn. As we straightened out from the turn we were suddenly lit up from directly above us with a light that resembled a police helicopter's light but brighter and more intense. The "craft" from which the light emitted was never visible to me and it made absolutely no sound of any kind. Nor did it produce turbulence that disturbed the bushes or raised dust although the craft could not have been more than 75 - 100 feet off the ground. Oddly, I felt no fear or any other emotion other than curiosity. I put the jeep in the park and then stepped out to examine the craft more closely. The instant I was outside the jeep, however, the craft sped off at an amazing rate of speed and vanished. Just after the craft disappeared, we saw three lights approaching us from behind. By now we had grown nervous and fled. The absurdity of fleeing a craft presumably capable of hyper-luminal speeds in a jeep streaking along at nearly 20 mph didn't occur to us at the time.We never saw a body for that craft or the first one, just the lights. Other equally strange events have occurred in that region, so much so that we now have ceased going there. I have not provided more specific indications as to the area's location on purpose as I believe it to be a dangerous area. The day after this incident, my wife noticed a small spot of blood on my pillow and upon a close examination discovered an equally small puncture wound behind my right ear." S-----Five young men had gone into the Mojave Desert near Barstow, California to shoot their rifles and camp for the night. Three of the group had gone to bed while the other two stayed up talking and working by portable light on a dirt bike. After a while, they heard a strange humming sound and their portable light went out. Looking up, in the light of the full moon, they spotted a large black circular object slowly moving over their camp. Startled and curious, they followed the craft hoping to make out more details. After about an hour, they lost sight of it over a hill. They headed back to camp but lost their way. After wandering about for nearly an hour, they came upon an old State Park dumpster in the middle of the area used for dirt bikes. Then from within the masonry wall surrounding the dumpsters, they heard loud crashing sounds as if someone was tossing garbage around. One of the men walked around to an opening in the wall, intent on asking directions from whoever was there. He noticed a tall blond man, clean-shaven and wearing a golf shirt and dress slacks, both stained with motor oil and muck, wildly tossing garbage around as he searched for something in the dumpster. The camper asked the blond man if he knew how to get back to town, the man responded that he was not from around the area and that maybe the government knew. The campers asked the man what he was doing out in the middle of nowhere dressed as he was, but he ignored them, held up a bullet riddle radiator, and asked them what they thought of it. Concerned the two campers moved back from the stranger. They then looked around for a car but saw nothing. Just then a helicopter flew over the hillside and shot a blinding light down on the group. Though the two campers do not recall the man leaving the dumpster, they turned to talk to him and he was gone. An instant later the helicopter veered off in the direction of a glowing green light that was steadily rising in the sky. Neither camper remembered anything after that. They woke up leaning against the masonry wall sometime after 6:00 AM.-----The next narrative was recalled by several researchers and included in the Mojave Files:Steven Brodie was a man of many talents and hobbies, among them painting and rock collecting. Several years back he decided to investigate a certain area in Arizona where, he had heard, quartz crystals could be found in abundance. Brodie convinced a friend of his, also an avid rock collector, to join him on a rock-hunting expedition to the site. After purchasing a ticket on a passenger train, they traveled to a certain small community in Arizona, which was near the area that they desired to explore. The two rock hounds had their eyes on one particular bluff, which they could see in the distance from the town they were in. Other town residents heard about their plans and warned them against going to that bluff, stating that SEVERAL people had in the past disappeared without a trace in that area. Brodie and his friend blew off their warnings, considering them mere superstitions that they should not take seriously, and set out towards the forbidden bluff. They had no sooner approached the base of the bluff than out of the shadows emerged two beings who were each cowled in a dark cloak and hood, making it very difficult to discern their features or whether they were even human or not. After being confronted, Brodie's friend panicked and attempted to make a run for it. Steve swore that at this point one of the black cloaked figures raised some kind of weapon and a brilliant pencil beam of light shot from it and hit his friend, who cried out in agony and immediately fell down motionless. From what Brodie could gather his friend had been killed, although he never did see his body after that.Following this, one of the 'beings' came up to Brodie, who did not resist but stood where he was. While still in a state of shock, one of the creatures placed some type of device over his head, like a metal headset with two metallic 'discs' that fitted over his temples. At this point, he started to lose consciousness. The next thing Steve remembered after gaining consciousness again was being in some type of dungeon or cavern-like enclosure, within a prison-like cell. Other humans were there as well. Most of the people there seemed to be under some type of trance or mind control, and as far as he knew, he was one of them. He dimly recalls 'waking up' a few times, but usually when this happened one of the dark-robed creatures would come over to the cage or enclosure where he was and point a rod-shaped device at him, at which point he would black out again. During one of his brief conscious episodes, he had a chance to talk to another prisoner, a girl, who told him that their dark-robed captors were known as the 'dero'.That, basically, was all that he remembered. The incredible part of the story, however, was the fact that several months afterward he suddenly 'came to' and found himself conscious once again. He suddenly realized that he was walking down the streets of New York City! He had no idea how he got there, or where he had been the past six months. It was like 'waking up' from a bad dream or nightmare, the majority of which he could not remember. In addition to this, he found that someone had given him a haircut (he didn't know whom).Whether or not this account has any connection to the many 'rumors' of strange and ancient caverns and tunnels below New York City is uncertain. Some cautiously speak of such tunnels as being used by a MIB-like secret society, some of these tunnels connecting with the lowest sub-basements of the Empire State Building and other Manhattan structures. Some allege that such tunnels are the possible destination of many of those who mysteriously end up 'missing' in New York City every year. Whether these are mere unfounded 'rumors' is anyone's guess, at least until solid evidence 'surfaces' to prove such accounts.Steve was constantly paranoid and in fear that he was 'being followed' or that someone or something was constantly watching or stalking him. Also, Steve would often paint bizarre other-worldly landscapes, even though he wasn't used to paint in that style until after his 'experience'. Then one day someone stopped by Brodie's apartment to pay him a visit and he was nowhere to be found. No one seemed to know what happened to him, and that was the last time anybody ever saw Steve again. - The Mojave Files 11/16/2000**********GIANTS! LEGENDS BASED ON TRUTH? Hillary Clinton Calls for Stricter Online Censorship as Establishment Fears Losing “Total Control”

If you're tired of censorship and dystopian threats against civil liberties, subscribe to Reclaim The Net. In an interview with CNN, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton expressed her pressing need for social media companies to enhance censorship measures, suggesting that failure to do so would lead to the loss of “total control.” This declaration aligns with broader concerns expressed by figures within the Democratic Party regarding the control of information online. https://video.reclaimthenet.org/articles/hillary-cn-clip.mp4 Clinton’s remarks come in the wake of substantial changes in the space of online expression, notably influenced by Elon Musk’s acquisition of Twitter in 2022. Under Musk’s stewardship, the platform, now rebranded as X, has championed a more laissez-faire approach to content moderation. This stance has facilitated a pushback against what some perceive as misleading mainstream narratives, particularly evident in the recent coverage of FEMA’s reported mishandling of hurricane relief efforts in North Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee – a narrative that the government is calling “misinformation.” During her conversation with Michael Smerconish, Clinton criticized the existing legal framework that she believes enables unchecked content dissemination. “We should be, in my view, repealing something called Section 230, which gave platforms on the internet immunity because they were thought to be just pass-throughs, that they shouldn’t be judged for the content that is posted,” she explained. “If they don’t moderate and monitor the content, we lose total control,” Clinton argued, using the think of the children argument. She argues that this perspective is outdated and that without active moderation from platforms like Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram, and TikTok, the consequences extend beyond mere social and psychological impacts to encompass real-world harm. Adding to the discourse, John Kerry recently echoed similar sentiments at a World Economic Forum sustainability meeting, bemoaning the obstacles the First Amendment poses in controlling information flow. “It’s really hard to govern today. The referees we used to have to determine what’s a fact and what isn’t a fact has been eviscerated to a certain degree,” Kerry stated. FNC’s Shannon Bream Fact-Checks Walz Lies on Abortion, Born-Alive Law

With just about a month to go before the 2024 presidential election, a member of the Democrat ticket finally sat down with Fox News. Vice presidential nominee and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz joined Shannon Bream on Fox News Sunday, for an interview that perhaps explains the reluctance for these types of interviews at the top of the ticket. Bream pressed Walz on an array of issues, many of which garnered the kinds of fact-checks that Democrats do not normally get. The interview opened with a question on whether Walz supports Israeli preemptive strikes against Iran, including against oil and/or nuclear facilities. After some dancing around and backpedaling from previous statements widely viewed as being pro-Hamas, Walz ultimately issues a non-answer. ?FULL FNC-WALZ THREAD: @ShannonBream opens by asking MNGOV @Tim_Walz whether he's support a preemptive strike on Iran, or on their oil/nuke facilities. Los of nonspecific dancing that will nonetheless further furrow eyebrows in places like Dearborn, etc: https://t.co/ku5wXGZun4 pic.twitter.com/Zba16vo2c7 — Jorge Bonilla (@BonillaJL) October 6, 2024 Bream then goes to the abortion question. Walz catches multiple fact-checks on Amber Thurman, on the repeal of reporting pursuant to Minnesota’s born-alive law after reports that 8 abortion survivors died, and on emergency care in abortion scenarios. Full exchange on abortion: Walz insists MN law does not go beyond Roe, repeats "abortion ban" lie, gets thoroughly fact-checked on Amber Thurman, on repealing MN born-alive reporting requirements, and on emergency care in abortion scenarios https://t.co/RQvu4VcnJp pic.twitter.com/u75FKeRATN — Jorge Bonilla (@BonillaJL) October 6, 2024 Walz is also nonresponsive about his record in Minnesota of providing driver’s licenses and in-state tuition to illegal aliens, pivoting to the failed border bill. Here, too, Walz catches a fact-check: Asked about his own record in MN regarding licenses for illegals, etc: Walz tries to pivot to the failed border bill and gets fact-checked https://t.co/qu3T3wWUcK pic.twitter.com/Rj5IxkkkMe — Jorge Bonilla (@BonillaJL) October 6, 2024 When it came to food prices and inflation, Walz went into this weird rant about the price of corn before eating another fact-check on tariffs: Walz doubles down on price controls by pontificating about the price of corn, pivots to tariffs and eats another fact-check https://t.co/vwK6i1Vu82 pic.twitter.com/Bxl1lYGSo4 — Jorge Bonilla (@BonillaJL) October 6, 2024 Finally, Bream confronted Walz on his multiple lies on personal matters: Fox's @ShannonBream confronts Tim Walz on his multiple prevarications: China, his service record, IVF, the DUI conviction, etc: Walz picks IVF, pivots to policy and J6, and gets fact-checked for it pic.twitter.com/Resb3VTW9L — Jorge Bonilla (@BonillaJL) October 6, 2024 If there might be any quibble with any portion of this interview it might be, as others have expressed, with presenting Walz with the opportunity to select one of the full buffet of lies as the one to rebut, rather than dragging him through each of them one by one: Stolen Valor, Tiananmen Square, IVF, his DUI, et cetera. Here, Walz pivots back to safe ground and defends IVF before pivoting to January 6th and eating another fact-check. The interview of Walz, as I mentioned, was the first of anyone on the Democrat ticket on Fox News, with a month to go before the election. The question is now on the table: when is Kamala Harris going on Fox News. Will the campaign even allow her to go on Fox? Exit question: does Tim Walz’s pronunciation of “nuclear” render him a moron? That is the Regime Media’s rule, right? I'm old enough to remember when this particular pronunciation of "nuclear" was proof evident of President George W. Bush being a moron, according to some in the Regime Media pic.twitter.com/7YZf7vxMep — Jorge Bonilla (@BonillaJL) October 6, 2024

New doc 'Get the Jew' confronts anti-Semitism, media bias

The New York Times, the Atlantic, and CNN have all gone Hollywood, creating documentary divisions that align with their progressive worldviews. Why not the Wall Street Journal?'It’s incredible that the New York Times, managed and run by Jews, chose to report it that way. Why is there that bias?'“We feel there should be something on our side,” says veteran filmmaker Michael Pack, the writer/director/producer of “Created Equal: Clarence Thomas in His Own Words.”It’s why he joined forces with the WSJ’s opinion section to create docu-shorts on topics progressive filmmakers won’t touch. First up? The Crown Heights riots.Tragic storyOn August 19, 1991, a Jewish man accidentally drove into two black children, killing young Gavin Cato. Riots broke out across the New York City neighborhood, spiking already tense relations between black and Jewish residents. Lemrick Nelson, who is black, stabbed Jewish scholar Yankel Rosenbaum to death during the three-day melee.Then-Mayor David Dinkins did little to stop the chaos targeting the Jewish community. Sound familiar?“’Get the Jew’: The Crown Heights Riot Revisited” takes us back to those tumultuous days. The featurette, available for free Oct. 7 via YouTube and outside the WSJ’s paywall, lets key figures from the era recall that tragic New York story.Horribly prescientPack says the Crown Heights riots offered a “timely” tale for the first short out of the gate, but the project proved horribly prescient.“We didn’t know that another Jew would be stabbed in Crown Heights weeks before we finished the film,” Pack says. “[The attacker] was shouting, ‘Free Palestine’ and ‘Do you want to die?’ The issue is different, but the anti-Semitism remains.”“Get the Jew” recalls how the Rev. Al Sharpton played a consequential role in the riots, with critics suggesting he doused the city’s fires with rhetorical gasoline. Sharpton appears in the docu-short to explain his presence in the saga.“He does a very good job defending his position. … He knows how to handle difficult questions,” Pack says of the MSNBC host. “It’s a cornerstone of these films. We give everybody a chance to make their case.”The docuseries hopes to “tell stories in a straightforward manner, not to preach or advocate,” he adds. Both sides?Part of that story is media bias, another element that speaks to modern times. A New York Times reporter recalls the shock of learning that his employer said both sides were culpable in the chaos. That’s not what he saw over that three-day period.“It’s a very key part of the narrative, and it is surprising,” Pack says of the media’s coverage at the time. “In those days you would get to a phone booth and call your editor, read the story to him over the phone. [The reporter] was watching this anti-Semitic riot and the New York Times reports it as if there were both sides fighting. That’s not what was happening, as Ari Goldman, then reporter, recognized.”“It’s incredible that The New York Times, managed and run by Jews, chose to report it that way,” he adds. “Why is there that bias? You can see that today in how they report on what Israel does versus what Hamas or Iran does.”Another chilling note in the film? How Mayor Dinkins let the chaos rage without attempting to restore law and order, echoing the inaction by Gov. Tim Walz during the 2020 George Floyd riots.“[Dinkins] himself isn’t anti-Semitic, but he felt, in my opinion, that politically he couldn’t act,” Pack says. The mayor eventually called in police to quell the riots, but it happened only after protesters hurled debris at both him and the chief of police during a press conference.'An easy sell'Actor Tim Blake Nelson of “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” fame narrates “Get the Jew.” Nelson portrayed the title character in dramatic re-enactments in Pack’s “Rickover: The Birth of Nuclear Power,” originally on PBS, now streaming on AmazonThe filmmaker thought the actor matched the material well.“He’s very interested in politics and is an open-minded person,” Pack says of the versatile actor. “He’s been involved in causes like stopping anti-Semitism. This was an easy sell for him.Pack says the current plan is to produce from three to six WSJ docu-shorts a year. That’s in addition to his work as head of Palladium Pictures. That new enterprise finds Pack and his son, Thomas Pack, producing feature-length documentaries that aren’t likely to come from Hollywood Inc.The company’s WSJ alliance is only part of the big picture. The company is producing feature-length documentaries and serving as an “incubator” for “right-of-center, non-woke filmmakers.” It’s all about stories that won’t be told by mainstream filmmakers.“The goal is to reach the center,” he adds.

Trailers of the week: Nosferatu, The Franchise, and Squid Game 2

Willem Dafoe in Nosferatu. | Screenshot: YouTube Can you feel it? There’s a slight chill in the air, the Sun is retiring earlier, and the leaves are beginning to change (at least in my Midwestern city). We’re wading right into the time of year when everyone starts posting the vampire Kermit the Frog meme to show how ready they are for Halloween. I’m even starting to eye that Shudder re-subscribe button. October has its own vibe at the cinema, and theatrical releases this month include Operation Blood Hunt, a movie about 1944 special forces fighting werewolves in the Pacific theater, and Seven Cemeteries, a Danny Trejo-starring film about a guy who hires a witch to resurrect his posse to save a woman’s ranch. And let’s not forget Rumours, which I’m very excited for. So I’ve got a... Continue reading…

11 iOS 18 features that have totally changed how I use my iPhone

iOS 18 has been out for a couple of weeks now. I've been using the new iPhone operating system since June, when the first developer's beta was made available by Apple. In the meantime, I got the chance to dive deeper into iOS 18's best features. These are the ones I've been using the most, and the ones I think make this such a great update. Lock and hide apps: This is one of iOS 18's best features. I love the ability to hide and lock apps, which hides content inside an app from search, notifications, and other places across the system. This feature is perfect for hiding my bank apps, but it also lets me protect Photos, WhatsApp, Mail, Notes, and more. Here's how to hide and lock iPhone apps in iOS 18. Tapback with emoji and stickers: This social feature has become so much fun to use with my friends in iMessage groups. Even though I'm not a fan of Apple's tapback redesign, I enjoy being able to react to a message with any emoji or sticker I have. Customizing the Lock Screen widgets: With the new Camera Control button, I finally switched the Camera toggle on my Lock Screen to the Remote option. Now, I can conveniently control my Apple TV while still having easy access to my camera. Image source: José Adorno for BGR Opening another app using Camera Control: iPhone 16 owners will be pleased to know that they can switch the Camera Control functionality to open another camera app, such as Instagram, Halide, and so on. Record with a song playing: Another crucial change within the Camera app is the ability to continue to play music when taking a photo. Music will continue to play via Bluetooth connections when capturing a photo or video, which is very handy. Hide screenshots from your library: Apple revamped the Photos app. Even though some people are not fond of it (here's how you can go back to the old design), a new button in the grid helps you reduce clutter by filtering to specific media types, your favorites, or hiding screenshots from the view. This is definitely one of the best iOS 18 features. Adding new widgets to the Control Center: Apple finally lets you add third-party widgets to the Control Center. In addition, you can rearrange the toggles however you like, so it's easier to access your favorite apps or connectivity settings. Dual SIM in Control Center: If you have multiple carriers on your iPhone, you can now seamlessly switch between them. You can swipe to the Connectivity panel on Control Center to create a Cellular Data toggle that will let you quickly switch between carriers. Image source: José Adorno for BGR Call history search: With iOS 18, you can search for previous calls, voicemails, and contacts using a broad range of search criteria. Type in a number, a name, or a caller ID like “plumber” or “bank” to instantly fetch call history in real-time. Search within Recents in the Phone app or use Spotlight Search to quickly surface information. Camera’s 5-second timer: If you like to use your iPhone's timer, this is one of the best iOS 18 features. Now, you can select a 5-second timer in addition to 3- and 10-second options. Distraction Control on Safari: Hide distracting items on a web page, which is great for websites full of ads or pop-ups. If you change your mind, you can easily revert the changes later. Don't Miss: 13 hidden iOS 18 features you should be using on your iPhone The post 11 iOS 18 features that have totally changed how I use my iPhone appeared first on BGR.
