Satisfying: See What’s Underneath “100+ Years Of Yellowed Shellac & Layers Of Dirt”

There’s nothing like the beauty of architecture that has been around for decades. Or, in the case of the building in the video below, over 100 years. But buildings this old tend to deteriorate with time, unfortunately. Dirty and years of wear and tear transform it entirely — and not in a good way. However, that is exactly why businesses like John Canning & Co. exist. For 45 years, their team has worked meticulously to restore historic sites to their former glory. But doing so well, and without causing damage, is far from easy. Still, their team is made up of a variety of experts, and they have had the opportunity to work on national landmarks, religious establishments, government buildings, and more. Although we are not told the exact building they restored in the video below, we do know that the results of this shellac removal are genuinely breathtaking. See it for yourself! @johncanningco Watch as we unveil the original color scheme hidden beneath layers of aged shellac, varnish, and dirt, drastically transforming this space and the decorative wall panels. #transformation #restoration #originalpaint #varnishremoval #shellacremoval ♬ Exciting and happy old jazz piano(939445) – Single Origin Music After 100 years, this building was looking rough. According to John Canning & Co’s post, “the original color scheme” was “hidden beneath layers of aged shellac, varnish, and dirt.” By carefully cleaning the walls, they were able to “drastically” transform the space and decorative wall panels. With results like these, it’s truly no wonder that the John Canning & Co team have been trusted to restore some of the most beautiful, historic sites! Restoration Experts Undo Decades of Damage With Shellac, Varnish, and Dirt Removal “That shellac did its job though and PROTECTED that paint,” someone points out in the comments, with the company agreeing. Another person adds, “This is incredible. To be honest I kinda forget that things weren’t just always yellow tinged.” “My jaw actually dropped,” a third person admits. “This is a shocking amount of love labor & it was worth it. Stunning work.” You can find the source of this story’s featured image here! Mom Hack: Got A Kid Who Won’t Go To Sleep? Use A Nerf Gun!

One mom came up with a brilliant hack for getting her hyper kid to go to bed, and it’s just crazy enough to work! A woman named Brittany discovered that, in order to help her son wind down for the night, she first had to tire him out. So, she invented a fun “game” they could play together before bedtime. Surprisingly, it involves a Nerf gun! Brittany demonstrated her hilarious “mom hack” in a video on social media. Stationed at the end of a hallway, she shot Nerf dart after Nerf dart at her son while he ran back and forth trying to avoid them. She missed every time, but that was ok. As long as the boy was tiring himself out, Mom’s plan was working! View this post on Instagram A post shared by Ashley & Brittany | LGBTQ+ (@lovedby2moms) “The point of this game is to make your kid think you’re trying to get them with the Nerf dart, but in reality you’re just trying to get them to run back and forth as many times as possible to wear them out before bed,” wrote Brittany over the footage. “He thinks he’s winning, but really, I’m winning.” As mothers of three kids, Brittany and her wife, Ashley, definitely need their sleep. So, it’s a good thing that these moms created a simple hack for getting their children to go to bed when they’re feeling wired! Many parents online could probably benefit from this clever idea. Getting kids to go to bed is almost never easy. Screengrab from Instagram If you take a quick peek on social media, you’ll find that there are tons of parents with their own unique methods for getting their children to go to sleep. Bedtime is a pretty common issue, especially when dealing with very young kids! Although you should always be careful when taking advice from the internet, it’s definitely nice to see moms and dads sharing their expertise with each other online. It does take a village, after all! You can find the source of this story’s featured image here. The post Mom Hack: Got A Kid Who Won’t Go To Sleep? Use A Nerf Gun! appeared first on InspireMore.

The Trump Tesla King Charles UFO Connection

A new book out now on Amazon Kindle looks at the theories connecting former President Donald Trump with maverick inventor Nikolai Tesla. One of these theories alleges that Tesla had developed an anti gravity technology and this knowledge is now in the hands of the US government/military – and that this is the technology that we are seeing as UFOS – they’re not in fact extra terrestrial craft but a secret technology developed from the ideas of Nikolai Tesla. Donald Trump’s Uncle – John G Trump was worked for the FBI and was one of the agents that removed documents from Tesla’s New York hotel room upon his death in 1943. There is some speculation as to what was in these documents but some have proposed that there were blueprints for an anti-gravity craft and possible wireless technology. Did the US government use this information to develop prototype UFOs? Does the former president Donald Trump know about this due to his family links? Some have suggested that Trump knows the truth about the UFOs people are seeing in the skies and has promised to release new files if elected President again. Will those who control this technology seek to silence Trump? Were the assassination attempts related to this? The book also looks at the connections between this Tesla technology and King Charles. In the recent film The King Of UFOs a former Canadian diver Dan Costello claimed to have seen Prince Charles fly a prototype UFO in 1975 in Sandy Point in Canada. Costello claims that the craft had a blue ionic flame and had some sort of extra magnetic propulsion that was linked to Tesla – who had been using this area in Nova Scotia to test his inventions. The craft Charles was flying was said to be going to the NASA base at Langley in the United States. Could this craft be linked to the same technology that the FBI took from Tesla’s hotel room – is there a connection to the UFOs that are being seen now worldwide? The Book – The Trump Tesla Ufo Connection – is out now on Amazon Kindle and the film The King Of UFOs – is out on Amazon Prime Video. Hostin Claims Trump Is Like a Nazi Literally Planning a Second Kristallnacht

Less than a month after the second assassination attempt on former President Trump’s life, staunchly racist and anti-Semitic co-host Sunny Hostin (the descendant of slave owners) spewed dangerous, incendiary rhetoric against him on the Monday episode of ABC’s The View. According to her, Trump was a Nazi who was literally planning a second Kristallnacht but against “black and brown communities,” if he was to get elected again. At a rally over the weekend, Trump vented about how liberal cities allow crime to run rampant as they have police stand by as shoplifters and criminals make off with goods. “The craziest thing. And the police aren't allowed to do their job [Transition] If you had, like, one day, one real, rough nasty day [Transition] One rough hour, and I mean real rough, the word will get out, and it will end immediately,” he told the crowd in the highly edited soundbite The View presented.     According to Hostin’s brain, that off-the-cuff chatter was supposedly a serious policy proposal to have police target “black and brown communities” for destruction. Adding stuff Trump didn’t say, she insisted the plan was for a second Kristallnacht, which she couldn’t pronounce: HOSTIN: He said, if you had one really violent day, he floats a plan to end crime in which he says that the police should be allowed one really violent day in which they could be extraordinarily rough with anyone they suspect of a crime. Now, as the mother of a black 6'2" son, we know he's going to send those police officers into black and brown communities and migrant communities. We also know that he believes that police officers should have immunity. And so for me, that means we are at risk of what happened in Nazi Germany, and they call that the uh – ANA NAVARRO: Kristallnacht. HOSTIN: they call it uh -- I can't pronounce that, but they call it The Night of Broken Glass. NAVARRO: Kristallnacht. WHOOPI GOLDBERG: Kristallnacht. HOSTIN: Kristallnacht, in which there was a coordinated wave of anti-Semitic violence in Nazi Germany to attack the Jews. “And if a person is watching these violent movies and he's talking about Hannibal Lecter and he's talking about the Night of Broken Glass, he's in a very, very dark place and he has a very, very dark vision of America,” she declared. She went on to plead: “And I really, really hope that people are paying attention to what he is saying because he is saying the quiet parts out loud.” Ironically, Hostin pushed that ridiculousness after former Trump staffer and faux conservative, Alyssa Farah Griffin asserted that Trump’s “chief currency is fear, and fear works with his base.” The transcript is below. Click "expand" to read: ABC’s The View September 30, 2024 11:21:03 a.m. Eastern (…) ALYSSA FARAH GRIFFIN: And the thing about Donald Trump, his chief currency is fear, and fear works with his base. Save $120 on the 128GB Meta Quest 3, before they disappear for good

If you're looking for a Meta Quest 3 deal ahead of the launch of the 3S later this month, Amazon has you covered. You can grab the soon-to-be-discontinued Meta Quest 3 128GB model for just $379.99, that's a $120 saving against MSRP. In my Meta Quest 3 review, I heap praise upon the headset and boldly claimed its release signaled the start of a "golden era" for VR gaming. While the announcement of the Meta Quest 3S somewhat overshadows the value of the original Quest 3 headset, new discounts are showing that retailers are keen to move these headsets at much lower prices. Now that the Meta Quest 3 128GB is set to be discontinued, you can grab a great deal like this one and experience the full power of the latest generation of Meta's best VR headset for less. eBay is off the hook for selling harmful products

eBay was shielded from liability in the civil lawsuit by Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act. | The Verge A US government lawsuit accusing eBay of selling almost 350,000 polluting and environmentally harmful products — including pesticides and “defeat” devices that let motor vehicles evade emission controls — has been dismissed by a federal judge. On Monday, District Judge Orelia Merchant ruled that eBay isn’t liable for items that users sell on the digital marketplace due to civil protections that Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act provides for online platforms. Under Section 230, online platforms cannot be held responsible for hosted content unless “it assisted in the development of what made the content unlawful.” The lawsuit filed by the US Department of Justice last year alleged that eBay had violated the Clean Air Act (CAA)...
