A 3 INGREDIENT CAKE A Strawberry Dump Cake is moist and a family favorite for sure. If you haven’t made a dump cake before, this is a super easy type of dessert and it’s perfect for when you don’t have time to make something fancy but want something flavorful. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:  Do I have to use melted butter? Nope, if you want to be even more precise and know for sure that your butter has spread evenly, you can cut the butter into slices and spred it on top of the cake mix. This helps some people know that the butter has been distributed evenly. If youw ant ot drizzle the melted butter on, you can, just move slowly so it drizzles evenly and doesn’t pour in just one area or make a puddle in the cake mix. Use whichever method you prefer and feel most comfortable with. Do I need to prepare the cake using the directions on the back of the box? Not at all. Friend, this is reallllly easy, you just need the cake mix and follow my directions to make the entire thing. Ditch the box directions, you don’t need them. Can I use homemade pie filling? Certainly!
