Incantations in Elden Ring require faith to use and scale their effects. Incantations offer buffs and healing, making them great support-style magic. Incantations need Sacred Seals to cast and have multiple lightning and fire-based attack spells that can do very high amounts of damage. Incantations such as Erdtree Heal can be cast with FP and heal the player and nearby allies instead of using their Flask of Crimson Tears. Healing in Soulsborne games has also been an issue, and incantations give you more options in safer situations.
