Old Fashioned Boiled Peanuts Recipe

Very popular in certain parts of the American south but nearly impossible to find up north, boiled peanuts are a salty, tasty snack that are incredibly simple to make. In this video, we're going through the basic recipe to make a big batch of classic southern boiled peanuts. Support us on Patreon! https://www.patreon.com/greatlakescountry ------------------------------ Stuff used in this video: Raw Peanuts - 2lb Bag https://amzn.to/3ZoImLM Camp Chef Outdoor Stove https://amzn.to/4daxILR ------------------------------ Boiled Peanuts Recipe (multiply as needed): -1 pound of raw peanuts (not roasted!) -1/4 cup of salt -Water Thoroughly wash the peanuts in fresh water. Place in pot. Add salt and enough water to cover the peanuts. Boil for 4 hours. Make sure to add more boiling water every hour or so to keep the level above the peanuts. Turn off heat and cover pot. Let peanuts soak for another 1-2 hours.
