This video has been a little while in the making as I wanted to make sure that running 2 freeze dryers using 1 pump was completely practical and functional. With the help of the folks from Leybold vacuum pumps, another Youtuber called Epicenter Bryan, Patrick from Frozenright and a positive mental attitude, I was able to achieve running 2,3,4 and even 5 freeze dryers using a high quality vacuum pump. I used multiple hydraulic fittings to allow vacuum to be turned on or off for each individual freeze dryer. Freeze Drying Supplies now sells the "Cable Cooler" that allow the software and electronics to communicate with the vacuum pump. Last, the high quality pump we used was a Leybold Neo D16 that is more than capable of producing enough vacuum for 2 to 3 freeze dryers. The result is a multiple freeze dryer setup that uses only 1 single pump. For people that run a business using freeze dryers, you can now maintain a single pump (that only requires an oil change once a year) while running multiple freeze dryers.
