Get Lost in Space With the Latest Star Wars: Skeleton Crew Trailer

News Star Wars: Skeleton Crew Get Lost in Space With the Latest Star Wars: Skeleton Crew Trailer The space Goonies certainly seem good enough By Molly Templeton | Published on November 1, 2024 Screenshot: Lucasfilm Comment 0 Share New Share Screenshot: Lucasfilm Since the beginning, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew has been positioning itself as something like The Goonies in space, and the latest trailer kind of lives up to the pitch—from the ’80s soundtrack (“Major Tom,” with some extra adventure flourishes) to the specific vibe of some kids who don’t really mean to get in trouble. They just kind of do. And what trouble it is: Swept away across the vast reaches of space in a maybe-not-s0-derelict spaceship, they make typical kid mistakes (don’t flash those Republic credits around, punk!) and run into a savior who might be his own kind of trouble. Jude Law plays the main adult in the room here, a fellow named Jod Na Nawood who says he will get them home, and they will make a partnership. The previous trailer suggested Jod (Jod Na? Is Na a middle name or what?) is a Jedi, but that’s less clear here. Skeleton Crew‘s quartet of young adventurers is made up of Wim (Ravi Cabot-Conyers), KB (Kyriana Kratter), Neel (Robert Timothy Smith), and Fern (Ryan Kiera Armstrong). Wim’s dad is played by Tunde Adebimpe (of TV on the Radio and Twisters), and the droid SM33 is voiced by Nick Frost. The series comes from Jon Watts and Christopher Ford; Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni are producers, of course, and the show is set in their post-Return of the Jedi TV era. Its eight episodes are directed by Daniels (Everything Everywhere All at Once), David Lowery (The Green Knight), Lee Isaac Chung (Twisters), Jake Schreier (Beef), and Bryce Dallas Howard (The Mandalorian). The adventure begins December 3rd on Disney+.[end-mark] The post Get Lost in Space With the Latest Star Wars: Skeleton Crew Trailer appeared first on Reactor.
