Evan Honer Releases Cleverly Written New Single “Lead Role” Off Of Upcoming EP ‘Annabelle’

Evan Honer just doesn't take a break. The prolific songwriter, who has already released an album, an EP, and several singles so far this year, refuses to let his foot off the pedal with the announcement of another EP on the way. Titled Annabelle, Honer's latest project is due for release on December 13 and will include his previous release "Me, Without You," from earlier this month, as well as his brand new single "Lead Role." A cleverly written track in which the narrator reflects on a past relationship a few years down the road and is till down on himself for messing things up and letting the girl get away, "Lead Role" is one of five tracks on the upcoming project that will all revolve around the narrator's relationship with the girl for whom the project is named after. Honer shared some comments regarding "Lead Role." "This is a very out-of-the-box song for me. It's an interesting concept with very unstructured rhyme schemes. 'Lead Role' continues the story of this girl 'Annabelle' and puts it into the perspective of a movie. It starts off with, 'I got the lead role to a part I never wanted / In a movie where the guy lets the girl down in the end.' The song features doubled vocals, and I've only released one other song where my vocals have been doubled. This sound is new for me and I am very happy with how it came out."
