GERMANY
This is why the left wants to close the ADF down
The AfD believes that it can increase its already large voter support by capturing this dissatisfaction in the same way that it captured the dissatisfaction with the non-Western mass immigration. In terms of energy policy, they want to see a resumption of cooperation on natural gas with Russia via Nord Stream, which came to an end when Russia invaded Ukraine.
EU a "planned economic superstate"
Regarding the euro, the yet-to-be-consolidated proposal for the party program states that Germany must " leave the misguided path of permanent bailouts by re-introducing a national currency ". They are referring here to the huge rescue packages of hundreds of billions of euros that the Germans had to pay for in large part to save the common currency from collapse after Brussels indulged in its federalist ambitions and allowed junk economies like Greece to join.
The party also dislikes more generally the " planned economy superstate " that the EU has turned into. In the draft party program it is written: " We believe it is necessary for Germany to leave the European Union and establish a new European community. “
Questioning the consensus on climate disaster
At the same time, the draft party program calls for a German exit from the climate alarmist Paris Agreement. Like more and more people, they question the " alleged scientific consensus " about an approaching climate catastrophe, which they believe is politically constructed rather than based on any irrefutable facts.
AfD instead adheres to the position where it is partly believed that there is not much that humans can do about the climate changes that the earth has been subject to since the planet was created and where they also emphasize the positive effects of a slightly warmer climate as " a driving force for increased global plant growth that “ promotes world nutrition ”
Wants the German abortion ban to be enforced
What many people don't know is that abortion is illegal in Germany. In practice, however, exceptions are made to the law for the first 12 weeks of pregnancy and on condition that the woman receives counseling before the pregnancy is terminated.
The AfD now wants to tighten up the regulations and counseling routines under what it calls a " welcoming culture for children ", where abortions are not to be carried out as casually as before and the legal text is followed to a greater extent. Other parties, on the contrary, want to legalize abortion. The issue has been debated intensively for many years, but without any change in the law.
