Comments on women in the military made by President-elect Donald Trump’s choice to head the Department of Defense, Pete Hegseth, have garnered criticism. “I’m straight up just saying we should not have women in combat roles,” Hegseth said during an appearance on “The Shawn Ryan Show” last week. “It hasn’t made us more effective, it hasn’t made us more lethal, has made fighting more complicated.”
