Despite the narrative gravity of Destiny 2’s The Final Shape expansion, and the positive reception it received, it's safe to say that the following year of episodic content is something of a transitional period for the MMOFPS. From next summer onwards, it will enter a new era called Frontiers, which reshapes the way it delivers expansions and begins a whole new saga.
