If you are being paid, or otherwise compensated, for your labors, they cease to be your private property... unless you want to do them for free.

I agree with Schultz, when you are hired to do work and get paid to do it, you don't own the work, your employer does. You agreed to exchange labor for money. If you have an agreement to an interest in the product of your labor, then you own a percentage too, but not on the labor itself.
